Even if Liara knows teh SB is working for the Collectors, it's much more effective to take out the source. I mentioned this the other day - she'd be smart enough to realize that eliminating the Collectors would severely weaken the Shadow Broker. Plus you'd think she'd care far more about the person she risked everything to bring back from the dead (who may be the love or her life) than someone she knew a week or so (even if he did help her get Shepard).

Which makes it all the more agonizing to see so little interaction in ME2.

It's utterly heartbreaking, a look of absolute anguish and horror. Not only that, but Liara's standing at the front of the escape pod, desperate to see if Shepard is alright. So sad.

I know...

She doesn't care about her own safety at that point and insists on watching.  I doubt it's safe to stand in an escape pod....there are probably seat belts.

Not sure if you lot have seen this: http://news.bigdownl...book-announced/. Basically says that they want to carry on with some sort of comic after Redemption, no info about which characters it will include, but if Liara ends up permanently relegated to comics I will not be happy.

Alright... first off, I think I'm starting to understand what the writers were attempting to get at with the LI's in this game.  Granted, reading TvTropes's pages, plural, on Mass Effect, has influenced my opinion lots.  But it's pretty clear to me that they were making an attempt at doing a pair of cliches for each story, choose-your-own-Trope.  Either Shepard feels betrayed and runs off into the arms of another, probably setting up a triangle in the last game, or Shepard just gets heartbroken, and presses on alone... and is later rewarded for their lack of wandering.

The problem is, while this mostly works for Kaidan and Ashley -- said shippers even get a mini-reward in the form of the e-mail -- us Liarasexuals (I am sticking with that name until someone tells me to stop ) just get confused.  But ... to tell you the truth, this could've worked the same way!  All they'd have to do is split up the two halves of Liara's quest a bit more, like require three or even four main quests to be done (counting loyalty missions as main quests) and, so help me, that emotional reveal just needs tweaking.  (One of my earlier ideas had Liara stay standing by the window for the entire line to "... couldn't let you go", and Shepard getting up and hugging her from behind, and what's said is probably depending on how seriously they want us to take the people-could-be-listening problem, but I'd lean towards quietly whispering, "I'd have done the same if it were you."  Or more romantically-inclined words, though I'm pretty sure Jen and Mark could make the implication clear just from those words alone.)  That'd be our token reward, we'd be happier than Ash and Kaidan fans, and we wouldn't have spent approximately a hundred pages wondering if BioWare gives a damn about a character who they've gone to great lengths to ensure her availability in the final game, and did an entire comic book series around her.

Okay, now that I've solved that problem... though I can't quite solve the WallBanger of a main plot ... I really wonder about the whole Romance Pack thing that was brought up.  Do you really think they're thinking of it for ME?  I'm not entirely sure about that, the quote was 'take Leliana on a date' if I recall... and the problem is also that they really do have to progress us ME1 faithful types into a better place in our relationships to be able to pull that off realistically.  So I have a weird feeling that they'd at best, split that sort of thing up and release ME2 ones earlier than the Original Trio, which might have to wait for after the bridging expansion that is apparently so annoyingly close to the release date of The Old Republic... remind me to have a better job by then so I can afford them both.

Still, I have to say that, while I'd prefer a fifteen-hour full-on expansion rather than a 90-to-180 minute Liara-exclusive DLC... I personally think we're gonna get both.  The fifteen hours being not entirely focused on LiLi, but there is just something that tells me that she's got to be central, especially since the Shadow Broker getting offed in the space of three or four missions does not seem likely to me, so he'll still be looming over the game at that point.

Ah good, Im not alone. I have never used femshep.

Haha no not alone, I only have 1 Femshep but she romanced Liara

I started out playing a couple of male sheps, then I discovered the awesomeness of femshep.
Haven't looked back since .

Hale is one of the reasons I like femshep so much. She's just a bit better than Meer, imo.
And I never really care what gender I play (in any game) .
