Oh, I have it for 360.
Is it there for 360 as well?

Oh.   I have it on  PC.   I have no idea about the 360 version.

It's there on 360. The code doesn't exist if you used a face you imported though. Only a face you built in ME2.

it doesn't exist if you import it on the 360?    It exists on the  PC if you import a Shepard from ME1, there's just no guarantee that the ID  Code will work.  My Shepard's ID code doesn't work.   It produces another face entirely if I try to use it.

I don't blame Jacob... Though my in game explanation for my character is that Shep is being a total seductress because she knows Miranda was with Jacob and Miri has one of her spy cams right above Jacob's workstation. So its all to spite Miranda.

And when you finally become Jacob's buddy after shooting him down, the sight of Fem Shep doing the 'manly chest bump' is hilarious.

The real problem with Shepard that should concern Liara is that Shep seems to have used Asari Bait shampoo. Seriously it's like those Axe bodywash commercials.

I honestly don't even talk to Jacob, Garrus, or Thane.
We all dislike Jacob for FemShep's flirty voice with him (she sounds like she wants to say, "You and me, right here, right now" Goddamn it Bioware, just goddamn it).
Garrus keeps going on with his sexual innuendo and Thane does indeed annoy me as well.
At least Kaidan took it like a man when you shut him down.

Garrus was the only one I actually finished talking with, and that was only after he had the "relieving tension" dialog option open for several missions when I'd go back to check on him.  I tended to give him the benefit of the doubt since he's pretty much like Shepard's first groupie, kind of like Conrad Verner with an exoskeleton and useful skillset.
So I saved the game and then talked to him to see if I could get past the blatant "relieving tension" opening and get to more conversations with him but he goes into "calibration" mode once you shut him down with the sparring option.  Jack and Tali are like that too, feels like you're building a friendship rapport with them and then you just get shut out totally because Femshep doesn't have a tab for their slot.

Nope, if you want the code you have to rebuild the face manually in ME2.

True, to a certain extent.

There's only one asari for my Shepards, though:

Liara better come back quick. I wonder if Shiala stopped in at Liara's office after her contract renegotiation meeting. LiLi is not amused by shoulder touches.

Come to think doesn't Liara say something catty about the consort if you take her to there in ME1?

Yep, she gets all jealous and says "That's fascinating. You wanted to speak with the Commander?" It's so cute when Liara gets jealous!:D

Garrus is definitely the best out of the three, I did talk to him and finish his dialogue with the sparring offer, but I was still kind of annoyed with his "relieving tension" dialogue.

Yeah, I thought it was definitely weird with Tali and Jack, they seem to be interested in something more.
Or at least being really good friends with Shep, but after the dialogue is finished, they act as though you never talked.
I thought Tali's suit connecting dialogue was an indicator she wanted a relationship (not that I would cheat on Liara), or a strong friendship, but then she just goes back to working on the engines.

Great post Jayla, and I agree with everything you said.

I do like the idea that Shep and Liara are desperately sad throughout the events of ME2, constantly thinking of each other and wanting to be together, but circumstance is keeping them apart. It's why I like to imagine at the same time that Shep is looking at the picture, Liara stops work on Illium, turns and looks at the sky from her balcony, silently praying for Shep to come home alive. That's how I RP it: the pair of them are desperate to be together, but the situation says otherwise.

Also, you frequent TVTropes? Me too! I wrote the entry for Liara in the Video Game page for "The Woobie". I just wanted to spread some more understanding of poor Liara's situation in ME2.

I love Liara, the BBG!

And a good job you did on it, too .  As much as I totally support Tali actually getting a hug option when she did, you notice how I keep arguing that LiLi needs a hug?  She's totally our beautiful blue Woobie.

Behold the power of Youtube (about 1:45).

I always wondered why the consort kept looking over your shoulder in that scene.  It's Liara giving her the death stare.

Yep, when I heard Garrus tell that story about the sparring, I was just all like, "I should go."  Then it took me a few missions to work up to seeing if there was a way to get past that dialog with him that didn't go someplace I had no interest in going.
I actually felt good talking with Jack as a Paragon, especially since my main Shepard is Earthborn and an Adept, so I felt like we shared a lot of things in our past we'd both rather forget.  And it felt like I was making progress in being her first real friend and she was opening up.  Then abruptly she didn't want to be in my girl's club.
I've always liked Tali as a friend, she's like my Shepard's little sister.  Her loyalty mission has the kind of emotion that should have been present in the ME1 LI interactions.  It felt good helping her out and being there for her when she needed it.  Then it was just jarring that it cuts off.  And that last discussion with her when she's talking about linking suits and she says she'd do it with you if you were a quarian...when she really means she'd do it with you if you were a man.  I'm still flattered by that offer, and don't have any interest in "linking suits" when I can "embrace eternity", but still it is somewhat annoying that her offer is conditional on your gender and shuts her conversations down.

Yeah... someone has said, I forget where (possibly the SameSex Romances thread, the current, non-horribly-trolled one -- I hope, haven't been back in a few days) that Jack and Tali's dialogue feel like they're interested in FemShep because the dialogue, bar one or two minor examples, is exactly the same until the cut off.  Truth be told, Jack... if she managed to be Bi The Way there'd be someone who complained about it regarding her appearance.  (I can't elaborate without offering comprehensive gender/sexuality proof of permission.)  But there really isn't a big reason why she can't be friends with femShep, right?  Why can't platonic love redeem all once in a while?

Oh well, we have Liara to pine over, and we have Kelly to look at and feed our fish ... that'll just have to do for now.  (Oh, and if I ever get Awakenings I'll have Leli -- oh, wait, no I won't. *sighs*)

The problem is that for both Tali and Jack that even if they have the same leadup, it really only gets cast into a definite romantic light because of the abrupt gender cutoff.  The buildup could easily go to friendship or romance, but the way it was handled you either had the right stuff in your pants and the inclination to use it, or you had no more dialog.  Even if the romance path is additional content, there should have been a few lines of closure on the friend angle before they totally cutoff talking to you.

I've always thought that one of the questions Jacob should have asked you on that shuttle after being reanimated was a question about your relationship in ME1.  That would have given the player a chance to define right from the start the context they viewed the relationship in, what happened between the Mu Relay and the Normandy getting destroyed, and where they wanted to go with it in the future.  If we can use magic powers to decide whether Anderson or Udina is the Human Councilor then we should have been able to define what the relationship meant to both people in it.

Where else have you written about Liara on TVTropes, by the way? I'm interested in what you've written about her, judging by how much love you show our LiLi in this thread. I've seen a few people show some love for Liara on the site, and I love reading that as I enjoy reading about other people in love with the BBG. :D

Anyway, I want to post this. A beautiful pic of Liara stuck in the Prothean bubble:

I'm actually not even 'known' on the site at the moment, much less ever contributed to it.  Kind of ridiculous of me, seeing as I spent about half a year reading it over the past ... year.

I'm pretty sure that I'll find the time to contribute to Mass Effect's JustBugsMe page, assuming it has one, though.  Oh, and I've got to get around to starting a Flame War with all the Tim Burton Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fans who keep insisting that the Nostalgia Critic never read the original book, but that's kind of off-topic :P.

And ON topic, I just got her out of the bubble again... oddly enough on my first genuine attempt at a level-60 achievement ever.  (Then again, I swear I've been capable of playing this game for less than ten percent of the time I've owned it, due to several 360-related mishaps.)  And I noticed that she is the only character I never use the X button on her lines... just like a few days ago, when I actually think I listened to Vigil's entire spiel for the first time in a long time, just because Liara was there, and I didn't want her to miss anything.  (Insanely cute of me, I think, not sure which word gets emphasized, but it's :wub:Liara:wub:, right?)

Hehe, I'm exactly the same! I always listen to everything Liara has to say in full, and absolutely never skip anything of what she has to say. Likewise, I speak to Liara so much on the Normandy, that she must be getting pretty tired of telling me about the asari, or if she knows why Benezia joined up with Saren. :P I just love talking to her though! I love how Liara says "Ready!" aswell if you talk to her whilst you're on an uncharted planet, she sounds so cute! Liara's also the one squadmate that I've never left behind on the Normandy, ever. Whenever I go somewhere, it's with Liara at my side. I think I'd emphasise it with <3Liara<3 too!

I like how she says "on your order, Shepard." Hell, I like everything she says anyway. She could tell me to take a trip out the airlock and I'd like how she says it.

Me too! The only one I don't like her saying is "Lead on, Commander" as for some reason I think she sounds slightly irritated, and I'm like "No, Liara! Don't get annoyed with me!" :(

Crimm, we were discussing how asari must view human hair with curiousity, as it's one of the few things that stops them being exactly the same as human females. We then suggested that you should do a version of your recent comics in reverse, with Liara trying desperately to touch Shepard's hair. Would be funny!

I am male but for some weird reasons i can't stand Meer's voice acting... he sound so empty especially when comes to so called "mushy stuff" when Jeniffer Hale show entire spectrum of expressions.

I really enjoyed talks whit Liara and honestly whit everybody on first Normandy (well maybe except Kaidan but that's because of Carth shadow laying behind him...)

On Normandy 2... *Sigh* except pre loyalty missions talks my Shep is alone surrendered by many... and that's indicator how bad whole interaction scripts are writen... so all what left for my Cmdr Vanessa Shepard is back to cabin, feed fish, check hamster and until next mission sit and watch in Lili's picture...

Dam Bioware... I WANT HER BACK!!! so my Shep can find finally emotional peace needed to kick Harbinger back to dark space.

YAY :D

Looking forward to seeing it, Crimm. Your humour is awesome!

Asheer, that's exactly what I was like playing through ME2. Always thinking of Liara, wishing she was there and spending alot of time looking at her picture. Damn I missed LiLi, the BBG!

Looking forward to Redemption issue 4, and then afterwards we can start hoping for the Liara DLC!
