Agree with what you say, JP. I've always thought that this "hatred" Liara has for the Shadow Broker is just a result of her struggling to cope with everything that's happened to her, and all of the emotional pain she is suffering with. To try to keep the pain at a safe distance, she's transferring all of it into hate directed at a convenient figure in the SB. She needs Shepard to help her deal with what's happened to her, and for her to fully open her heart to Shep and tell him/her that she truly loves him, and vice versa. Liara really has had some tough times in those two years, and it's sad looking at how it's affecting her, how she's being forced to put on this ruthless facade, how she's beat herself up over her guilt for handing Shep over to Cerberus.

I really do believe we'll get the emotional content and dialogue in her DLC, and we'll get extra lines or a scene if Liara is your LI. They need to comfort each other, and tell each other that it's going to be okay.

I definitely believe the Liara DLC will go into her emotional suffering and how Shepard is emotionally dealing with it, how could they not? They have already made it the story they want to focus on.
I can't wait to have emotional conversations and comfort her, she needs and deserves it. <3
I am not at all worried about BW screwing us, they may have made the Liara reunion lacking because we could not comfort her, but they did it for a better reason: The Liara DLC.
If they were going to f**k us over, they could have done it in an easier way. There is always an easy way for companies to go to screw people over.

They could have done it a million different ways, but they thought what they were doing made sense.
I have done weird things that I thought seemed like a better idea at the time. We are only human.
The only thing that matters is BW is going to rectify it, if they didn't then I would be really pissed off, but that isn't the case.

With the amount of work they have put into Liara and her emotions she is feeling, they have put enough necessary work into her to allow them to put their attention on her and create the DLC we want.

Go Beautiful Blue Goddess, I love you!:wub:<3<3:wub::wub:

Brand fresh screenies of Lili:wub: .

She is little sad at the end because we start talking about Benezia and Lili's "father".

That reminds me of when I once responed to her asking to join minds negatively.
Shepard says something like "No, no ones playing around in my mind anymore!"
And Liara sounds all upset, and tells him that she only wants to help, and that it may reveal important information.
I had to reload after that, I cant ever be mean to Liara.:crying:

PC (on max setting), f -11 key and quick eye to catch some certain poses (and little free place on HD for large quantity of creenies) .^_^

By the way i wish that there could be possible to take such detalied screens outside of the cinematics since there are not too much of them in game anyway.
Hmmm... i really start to miss Lili:wub: in ME 2... i want invitate her to Eternity, buy glass of Asari vine and just be whit her... is that too much to ask?:wub:

I think Liara would genuinely appreciate someone sacrificing themselves for her. She displays a lot of appreciation for Shepard rescuing her on Therum right after she's out of the bubble. She is just a really caring person that way. So it isn't so much Feron's worth to her, as it is the worth of his sacrifice for her. Add in all that she had to go through, what Shepard's carcass was put through, and the Shadow Broker/Collector connection and I can see her choosing to pursue the Shadow Broker to try and resolve those. Those debts she has to repay have nothing to do with credits.

And it was developer fiat that dictated you wouldn't be able to meet the criteria for that. There just definitely needs to be more exposition on the whole issue in game to convince the player that what Liara is doing is very necessary in the larger picture. Instead there are people treating it like some trivial vendetta, even though they themselves have no problem mowing down hundreds of people over the course of the game for much smaller issues.

To point 1: I agree that it would mean a lot to her, but it still doesn't fit that she'd let Shepard walk away to die again. She could feel very touched and guilty - but I think there must be SOMETHING forcing her hand. Otherwise why wouldn't she say something? Why wouldn't she try to convince Shepard to help? Shepard has a pretty big reason to want the Shadow Broker taken out, as it was his/her body!
If it's all Liara's choice, the motivations are very lame because it totally ignores what must be a huge internal conflict. They totally brush it off like it's a foregone conclusion she's going to stay on Ilium, and to be true to her character and what she's done it SHOULD NOT BE. It's poor writing.

To point 2: yes, the decision to keep Liara/Ash/Kaidan off the Normandy would be fine if they had sufficient reason. As it stands, Ash/Kaidan have a better reason to fight the Collectors than half the team, and Liara's motivations are too hazy to judge. It needs to be very obvious that she's doing it to help Shepard, or for the larger picture (as you said).

Really, the love interests from ME1 were handled horribly in general - the hand of the writing team is way too obvious. It's all so obviously forced.

Liara, deep in thought. Thinking about her guilt, what she's forcing herself to do and, most importantly, thinking about the love of her life, Shepard.

I am sure that is what Liara has been thinking about for the past two years.
Living with that much guilt for that long can make someone very angry and depressed.

I will be so happy when we can comfort her.

Yeah, can't wait until we can hopefully offer Liara a shoulder to cry on, and comfort her. Tell her everything is okay, and reaffirm our love for one another. Just under 3 weeks now until Redemption issue 4, and then hopefully we'll hear something about the Liara DLC!

I just hope they do it justice. We've had a long, bitter wait so far. I might throw my controller through my tv if we go through another crappy scene like the one we went through.

If they f**k up the Liara DLC then all my hope in BW will be lost.
I have faith though that they will do a good job, and give those who romanced her a chance to finally talk to her about your relationship and comfort her.

Yeah, I just don't see them screwing us on the Liara DLC.
If they did, they would be screwing themselves as they have already setup an emotional storyline.
Companies don't like to screw themselves!

I do have a feeling we will see some news in Redemption #4, it would be the best time to sneak an indicator in there as interest would be at it's peak (although we Liara fanatics are always interested).

Can't wait for The Beautiful Blue Goddess DLC, I want the Lovely Liara to be happy and get rid of her extreme emotional hurt with Shep's help.<3:wub:

That's the weird thing about her in ME2: they set her up to be this very interesting, conflicted character.....and then they drop it all on the floor.

The setup is great and has a ton of potential, they just don't do anything with it.

Driven, that's why I think it will be picked up again in Liara's DLC. I think Liara's mission will show her confronting her demons, and opening her heart to Shepard about what's happened to her these past 2 years, admitting her guilt and telling of her emotional torment.

We'll then finally get the ability to comfort and console Liara, which will be especially poignant if she's your LI. It'll end with Shepard and Liara reaffirming their love for each other, and vowing never to leave each other alone again.

Can't wait for Liara's DLC, and hopefully the emotional content that it contains!

@Stubbs -- I'm pretty sure they're going to give us something substantial no matter what regarding DLC, because, I wonder how many times it can be said, Liara pretty much gets second billing (or she would if this was a movie ... and if they did the credits in the order of characters' importance?  Hmm, Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale on the first screen "as Commander Shepard/Additional Voices", Martin Sheen on the second one, and Liara either gets the next screen or "And Featuring Ali Hillis as Liara T'Soni").  She's the most important character absolutely guaranteed to be in the last game, considering I can't imagine Cerberus will be as central to the next game's plot.  (Anderson or Udina would be likely to be important, and Ashley or Kaidan, but practically no one else is guaranteed to be alive, though dollars to donuts we'll be seeing Miranda, Jacob, Tali, and Garrus if they're still around.  And I personally intend to make sure all four of them are still around in every single game save I have.)

So considering that fact, and considering I think we have the second strongest group of fans for our Liara -- I don't begrudge the Talifans (thank you Karen Traviss) a thing, by the way, Tali's pretty awesome herself -- and considering that they directly set it up according to the CookedPC folder already ... we are definitely seeing more of our LiLi in the future... and I can hardly wait <3:wub:<3:wub:

(By the way, about 'LiLi', typically pronounced by myself as 'LeeLee' ... I think I came up with said pet name for Liara on only my second playthrough of the original game, when my Soldier Alyna ... or was it Arya? -- was fighting Cerberus in their own mission, and right after Garrus, I think, called 'clear', Liara tossed out a Singularity right in front of us that made me jump out of my seat.  And I just stopped, and said to the screen, "LiLi, hon, next time you want to do that, I'll need advance notice.  In writing.":P  And I've been calling her that ever since :kissing:.)
