I cant wait, unfortunatly though I have to wait like 2 weeks for issue 4 once its released.:crying:

I hope they reveal the Liara dlc once issue 4 is out, I cant wait to spend more time with Lili! (yes Im calling her that too now.:P)

At least in the mean time we'll have the Hammerhead dlc.
(And the Kasumi dlc for those who buy it.)

Yeah, I'm definitely going to not just let my preorder with TFAW go through on Redemption 4.  An entire week from release just waiting for them to begin to process the order for another few days of waiting for shipping isn't something I'm going through again.
I had the mini-sized edition of Redemption 1 with the Collectors Edition, but I ordered the full-sized one for the awesomeness of the cover from Midtown Comics because TFAW was sold out.  They sent it in a box too rather than an envelope.  I'll probably end up ordering 4 from there.

That still sounds pretty harsh for a supposedly neutral investigate type option. Having her mother brought up like that is just beyond petty.

I agree with you. I'm just saying that I didn't picked the lower left option which is always the renegade one. Actually Liara doesn't really get mad, she doesn't get up and scream, she says that line while seated and without raising her voice.

I didn't wanted to incite any strong emotions or anything from the community. Liara is my main Shep LI and I would never chose an option to make her angry or hurt her, I love her too much.Image IPB I was just discussing that especific line which I found purely by accident and it definitely surprise me.

I have to say, it sounds like an alternate explanation... and the way it's worded, it sounds like she's keeping up the facade -- exposed as a facade in the dialogue option most of us have taken, the "Why ARE you so angry" one -- of being ice-cold because she just has to be to get the job done.

It feels like another dimension is added to Liara's anger... then again, that might just be my take on it.  That she feels driven to take out the Shadow Broker not only because of her anger, but because it's something that needs to be done, and the only person who can help her with has an even more necessary job in front of her, so she's got to do whatever it takes to accomplish her goal.

Does that make her evil?  No.  It actually, to my mind, says that Shepard rubbed off on her, and it's in a good way.  (My Shepard is a Paragon, but has it very clear in her mind, Do what it takes to get the mission accomplished, while protecting, in order, her squad, civilians, herself, and then, maybe, if there's no chance at the first three being harmed, the perpetrators.  ... Yeah, she killed Balok in BDtS, then she said she'd gladly have Kate haunting her dreams tonight if that's the price to save millions of lives.)  So Liara could well be doing what it takes to get the job done, and then when it IS done she'll be able to return to her old self.  With a bit of help from Shepard, of course.

If they would just release it, I wouldn't give a rat's ass of its lenght. :innocent: Just having it would be fine and we could all convince ourselves that it was always there as it should've been.

Yes, but throwing Benezia in Liara's face has to be one of the most tactless things anyone could do to anyone else in Mass Effect.
Liara's response to that kind of assinine provocation just shows how much more mature she is than the person saying that kind of thing to her.

They dont let you cancel preorders though, and if you really want to its a pain in the a**.

Im just going to have to wait an extra week or two.:crying:

And isnt the CE redemption issue the same as the regular one except with a different front page?

The whole comic is all tiny as well.  Like small enough to fit in the game box, like 4x6 inches or something.  Since I was planning on buying 2, 3, and 4, it didn't seem too absurd to just go ahead and buy 1 as well so I had the complete set in the same size.
Plus that cover of Redemption 1 full size is of Liara!

I also bought the regular size version of issue 1, too. And that was after getting it with the CE.

The cover of the regular edition of issue 1 is beautiful, I love how Liara looks on it!

I really don't know how it was said, though I'll admit I do kind of hear Slappy Squirrel in my ear:  "Tactless, yet rude."

I really don't think, though ... I mean, it's like a discussion over at the GameFAQs board where someone got incredibly offended by the 'no atheists in a foxhole' line.  To which I thought, "The tag for that line is "I do too", so it's clearly not intended for an atheist Shepard, so ...

And there are people, horror of horrors, who dislike Liara.  So they kind of have to throw them a bone, unfortunately, because if you try to make people like someone, well go search The Wesley on TvTropes.  Still, I agree, it sounds on the surface like it should be a down-option, not a neutral option... unless, I don't know, someone thinks there IS some good with Benezia's plan?  Even if it blew up in her face?

Benezia's plan was always risky, and she knew that as well, in addition to most of her followers like Shiala said. It's just that Benezia had no idea that Sovereign would indoctrinate and brainwash her.

I still think Shepard throwing Benezia in Liara's face is awful, and extremely low. How Liara's facade didn't drop there and she burst into tears I do not know. Poor girl.

The first book should have had Benezia as a character and explore her past more. Shame that it didn't.

Was it ever said how old Benezia was?
I was thinking, and she had Liara at a pretty old age it seems. Most matriarchs are at least 700 years old, and Liara is just 106 years old by ME1. Was just thinking about that...

And I agree, having Shepard compare Liara to her mom is just being a jerk.
I would never say that to Liara.

Well, obviously, that's an either-cry-or-get-pissed moment if I ever saw one... so she took the second option.  Probably lasted as long as until Shepard left her office.

You can just imagine as soon as that door closing, Liara's face scrunching up in anguish, and then buring her face as the floods of tears start. Damn you, Shepard!

Thanks for the pics, Asheer! I love Liara!
