Ash then says "Damn, I hope I look that good at that age!"
Liara will look good at any age, though.

I must have always asked him about the mission before getting to the onerous task of hearing the "mixed signals" line. Recruiting Liara is my top priority in the game, stopping Saren is just something to do after that : ) I feel all deprived now though that I never had a chance to assert my feelings for Liara so early on.jlb524 wrote...
If you recruit Liara first (which most here probably do) you need to talk to Kaidan and turn him down before asking him about the last mission (i.e., Liara). When you ask him if he has intentions on Liara, he gives you the 'MaleShepard' response as opposed to the response he gives a FemShep who is still 'romancing' him.

it is a bit sad that liara turned from the cute geeky archeologist to this blunt cooldblooded information dealer.

That is a great conversation option, it is worth it to shoot him down and make him feel bad to say that (Liara is worth it no matter what).jlb524 wrote...
I like turning Kaidan down in the first dialog (right after recruiting Liara) because then when you then ask him about the mission and if he has intentions for Dr. T'Soni you can tell him, 'Don't get any ideas Lieutenant, I saw her first.'
I LOVE IT!!

**** guys, I need your help. In my main Shep I date Liara and Rex dies(lolmistake). Is it worth it to replay mass effect 1 just so that I date Liara and Rex dies?

I also love Hale's voice when she says it, she sounds protective of Liara already.

Actually, she says she wants to AVOID a Renegade Shepard. She obviously sees him as a good friend but her code compells her to kill him. Although she can pretty much apprantly try and avoid Shepard at all costs because she probally understands what he's doing is very important to the Galaxy and probally more bad than good will come out of Shepard's death.
Also, it isn't bad writing that Samara still likes Shepard. She's a Renegade herself, she kills without mercy and does whatever it takes so that the ends justify the means. Everything a Renegade Shepard is, minus the religion and the fact that Shepard kills civilians but only when nessessary. In other words, Shepard can't be evil, everything you do in this game can be justified somehow. Although picking Morinth over Samara might have been a little extreme because it has no justifcation whatsoever.
Samara will probally make sure she'll never come into contact with a Renegade Shepard after the Reaper Invasion is over. And by the mistake that she does, Shepard will probally own her.

Yes, it's quite a good delivery. My favorite Hale lines are probably when Shepard's trying to console Liara after Benezia's death. 'Don't pretend this doesn't bother you.' and 'Are you going to be OK?'
I LOVE THOSE!!!

I got it my first playthrough ever. I was trying to just be nice and friendly with Kaiden like I was with everyone else. After that though I always shut him down forcefully as soon as possible and he still makes it sound I was leading him on with my evil "mixed signals".Somebody1003 wrote...
Did anyone here get the Ashley/Kaidan Liara confrontation?
Or did you guys just tell Ashley/Kaidan off right away and keep the romance with just Liara from the beginning?
I really don't see why people read into that confrontation that Liara is agreeing to a threesome. She's agreeing to concurrent relationships, probably mostly out of uncertainity with exactly what humans think about fidelity and exclusivity usually. Asari can only meld with one person at a time, and there is never any mention of them being in any kind of poly-whatever relationships.
EDIT: Seemingly random spacing in my posts is driving me mad.
I never took it as her wanting a threesome... she comes up to you so that you say who you are really interested in.
Its either Kaida/Ashley, or her.

I read into as her accepting a threesome because, knowing Liara. She's definatly a little...raunchy. I just can oddly sense that into her character somehow.
And I think when she comes up to you she just wants to know who you want, either her or Ashley/Kaidan not realizing she could just sleep with Shepard and Ashley/Kaidan and when Shepard suggests it she pretty much doesn't object for the reason she just realized that Humans sometimes have Three-way relationships.
And she probally thought afterwards that she'll be Shepard's keeper or something. They actually start a romantic relationship and Kaidan/Ashley joins in when things get steamy to spice things up a little.I just somehow read that into Liara's character and it being a huge possibility. It explains why she pretty much doesn't object to it at all.

And yet, she has an interest in returning to help a Paragon Shepard, if he should need it.
I'd say she's Lawful Neutral, but I don't want to bring D&D in to this. Samara plays both Paragon and Renegade simultaneously.

I don't think it's YOU sharing HER, but more HER sharing YOU. Plus, I just said I think Liara would definatly be up for it. I doubt she'd like it very much though if there's no romance between Liara and Shepard involved and Kaidan/Ashley is just a considered a sex buddy for them both to spice things up a little.

Yes, but Neutral=Renegade.
Remember you can't really be Evil in Mass Effect. Renegade is more of a Badass Hero meter whilst Paragon is just a Compassionate Hero meter.
So she's still Renegade. And because she wants to help a Paragon Shepard doesn't mean she isn't Renegade.
I could honestly see a Renegade Shepard and Paragon Shepard getting along. Not as best friends or anything but I can see them being tolerant of each other. There'll be alot of tension about each other's motives but as long as their long-term goals are in common, who cares?

I meant Ashley/Kaidan HAVE NO ROMANTIC INVOLVEMENT WHATSOEVER. While Liara stills love you, Ashley/Kaidan are just there for lust, not love.
