Seriously, we love LiLi so much that we can't think straight around her ... okay, that's almost an accidental double entendre for us femSheps, isn't it? ... but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.  In my humble opinion she's the best character out of everyone in the first game, and that's saying a hell of a lot.

Though for some odd reason, I've gotten the Kaidan/Liara conflict scene every time but twice -- once when I socialized with Kaidan just a bit too much before talking to Liara, and damned if I didn't have a recent save, but I figured 'just this once, let's see what he says'; and once when... actually I'm not sure what kept the conflict from happening.  I just can't cut the man flat out off for some reason.  Damnit, BW, gimme a 'let him down easy' option! <_<

It's likely Liara will move on quickly that Shepard is not coming back this time around, but it's unlikely she'll just grab another bondmate. Plus I somehow doubt there'd be any love between the two.

Lust maybe, but I'm not to sure about Love. I took it from Liara's talk about Asari dealing with their partner's death as if they don't just go "Oh well, my partner's dead. Time to find a new one" but more "My partner's dead, I kind've expected this, I'll have to move on. My daughters need me."


I see Liara as a renowned matriarch without any love interest in anybody else

well, that is a flaw with the ME universe.  Nearly instantaneous travel between star systems and no one has figured out the genetic causes of aging and how to turn them back?  We have people now who live to 90-100 with increasing regularity.   More than a century later and we barely add 50 years to that?

Well now that humanity has reached the galactic level Im sure it will be drastically increased.

Yeah, that is probably the weirdest thing about ME.
All that technology and apparently no one thought to devote more time and research into something (even at the present time) we have come so far with.

Even the medical technology we have now is amazing. The next 30 will bring many great advances in regenerative technology.
