I don't mean to incense anyone here, because I am a reborn again Liara fan, but what were your honest opinions on how she was handled in ME2?

I honestly think the entire game would have been better if it had picked off from the very end of ME1.

Liara and Shepard's emotions could have been handled a lot better in the reunion scene (especially Shepard).
I believe it was because of the comic book and Redemption, but it would have been nice to at lest have an "I love you" from Shep before she left Illium for the suicide mission.
The picture scene was emotional, but I would have greatly preferred a real call from Liara and being able to tell her how much you love her.
I believe this is all for the greater good an we will have a 5 - 7 hour Liara DLC full of emotional scenes, romantic conversations, and a deep story.

But, like I said, ME2 itself would have been one hundred times better if it had continued two weeks to a month off of ME1 and focused on the Reapers instead of the suicide mission.
The best part would have been Liara as a squadmate in ME2.

I will be so happy to have the Liara DLC where we can comfort her and have an emotional and romantic continuation of the romance and ME3 where she will be a squadmate and we can also have a emotional and romantic continuation and conclusion of the romance.
I still want a cute conversation about Shepard wearing a dress for the wedding, lol.

Mine will be wearing a tux.;)

And I agree with you completely, I cannot wait for the Liara DLC.<3

I agree that ME2 would have been much better had it picked up from the end ME1 right away.

The Council thinking you're crazy and starting to shut you out, and Liara sticking by you thru the hard times. Would of been very loving and sweet. The "dark" second act, could of really been more focused on the fact that the galaxy you saved is now turning their back on you.

I really hope we all get the DLC we want with Liara...I'm not really upset about it anymore, as much as I was before...I have come to understand and see it from Liara's side of things...but that still doesn't give a reason for the way Shepard acts.

One line would of been enough...even as simple as telling Liara you love her and you'll be back. The picture scene was nice...but, it would of really been so much better...had you seen Liara get up from her desk at that moment and look up at the sky. To show the bond between you two, that transcends time and space. In my mind, she did.

I want a happy ending in ME3, Liara and Shepard married with lots of daughters. The happy ever after ending.

They should have cut the whole garbage with her being "monitored" and her missions.  You should have been able to just ask her questions and find out everything about what happened with her and your body, and why she feels it is important to take down the Shadow Broker.  You get a rundown of Gianna's personal life right outside of Liara's office, but actually finding out what happened with your body from Liara takes two missions and either some luck or reloads to get the one line from the bugged dialog tree.
You should have left her office knowing exactly what she went through for you and that her hunting for the Shadow Broker is important to her, Shepard, and the larger fight against the Reapers.  She might not be in the squad selection menu, but there should be no question that she is doing something important for the big picture.  Her interaction should have been geared towards informing the player of what happened and then convincing the player that what she is doing needs to be done.
They should have completely removed the options to be an ass to her and replaced them with options to be more supportive.  Even if you didn't like her, she still went through a lot for your sake and so too bad, you're stuck with neutral options.  Instead of how it is now with people who do appreciate what she did and they're the ones stuck with bland responses.
If she was your love interest, you should be able to actually open your mouth and say the things that any other human being in that situation would say.  If you don't want to continue the relationship, or you don't feel it was anything but casual, then simply do not pick those dialog choices and make the decision to sit there like a potted plant.  Instead that decision is made for you and you're forced to sit there stupidly never saying anything.

And that one gender is female. So they will be having daughters, all the time without exception.

Asari call their children daughters, and themselves female. The Codex even calls them an all female gender species. Mono = one/single

Yeah, all organsims have to have a gender. In this case the gender is female, there is no such thing as "no gender" (unless you are made of pure energy or somethig weird like that).
And yeah, Mono means one so one gender (female).
From what I have learned, organisms that reproduce asexually are always female (unless there was some major genetic malformation, but that is not relevant right now).

The entire scene with Liara in ME2 is a complete joke. I remmember the months before the game came out and the developers were saying that Liara, Ash, Kaidan and Wrex were all going to be treated with respect and that their cameos were going to be satisfactory. Wrex's cameo was satisfactory, all others were really bad.

What pisses me off the most is how the developers suspiciously dissapeared after the game was released. I'm still waiting for one of the writers to come in here and at least explain what the hell were they thinking when they made those cameos. I just want a small explanation saying something like " hey guys we at Bioware know how you feel regarding the Liara cameo and we want you to know that we have a really good reason for doing what we did and we have something in store for you soon." That's all I want.

The main writer of Dragon Age is always on the forums answering questions and interacting with the fans. Well where are the ME writers, can't they seat in front of a computer for 15 minutes and answer some questions. I'm also part of the Alan Wake forums and the developers at Remedy are always intereacting with us. They actually are really excited for the game to come out so they can disscuss the story and the mistery behind the game after release day.

Man I'm really hoping for the Liara DLC, this wait is killing me. I don't know how many times I keep going back to her office in Illium just to see if she has something new to say. Jeez I'm a little down today I need a Liara pic to raise my spirits.

I've been reading the Liara comics by Wingedmoggy on DeviantArt. They're rather amusing and touching because they cover Shepard and Liara's interactions for the most part.

Like this one is a costume party on the Normandy with Pirate Liara!

I wouldn't worry about the writers not talking to us too much, it could very well be a legal thing.
If the DLC is already done and will not be announced until redemption #4, then the legally cannot talk to us at all. These devs and writers are always bound by weird contracts that only make sense to the publisher (they are usually there to help increase sales by not talking about the DLC until release, then pumping it up).
Or they could see no reason to tell us anything because they already fixed it in the Liara DLC.

Yeah, the wait can be extremely hard for Liara DLC, I still think it is around 2 - 3 months off from release. Sometimes it can help to just think of the end result instead of the actual waiting.
I know the wait till be worth it and we will be able to comfort The Beautiful Blue Goddess and help her get rid of her negative emotions.<3
I will love for her to be happy with Shep and go back to her beautiful blue colour.<3

That made me laugh. :D
I liked the ending (that's what Kaidan gets for his nonexistant mixed signals, lol).
Liara is so cute as a pirate.

Their absence tells its own story. I for one suspect that they aren't happy with it themselves, but of course they're not allowed to voice any criticism openly. But if you look closely, there's not exactly much response to criticism in the DA forums either, certainly not in the Awakening forum. Mostly just responses in praise or bug threads.

You can spin everything when you're talking to amicable media people, but it's much harder to defend it in an open discussion. Rest assured, they will talk to us again once ME 3 is around the corner to tell us how pleased we will be if we only pre-order the game. Which I will not do, that's my reaction to ME 2. Perhaps a really good Liara DLC would change the situation, but unlike others I very much doubt that it will happen.

She has a bunch of them in her Mass Effect folder. Comics between her Femshep and Liara with them lying in bed talking or watching a movie together. The movie one was especially amusing. Her Femshep is a Renegade too, but she has a total soft spot for her Liara.

EDIT: Definitely check out the others if you haven't seen them! http://wingedmoggy.d...ry/#Mass-Effect
Shepard VS Thresher Maws is really cute : )

I was sifting through my old MP3s and discovered a song that I think fits so very well with Shepard and Liara. It's called Show me Heaven by Maria Mckee. It's from the Days of Thunder soundtrack so some of you younger pups might not remember that movie! lol! If you can find it give it a listen.

Yep, I always thought it'd be amusing if my Shepard suddenly developed an interest and appreciation for Prothean archaeology.  Which would actually be pretty constructive considering Shepard has the cipher and can instantly identify artifacts by sight as well as being fluent in Prothean.
