@Lord Zeuss, I wouldnt mind if we didnt get any ME2 squaddies, and I agree with you. I just wonder if they would do that to Tali to since she has all those fans.

I definitely wouldn't mind either.  Sure, I got them all safely home at the end of the game, but I honestly don't care if I never see any of them as squadmates again.

OK.... "suicide mission" over. Termi-Reaper dead. Humanity saved. Can I have Liara back now?

Hello fellow Liara supporters. First time poster in this thread but big fan of Liara and I definitely see her playing a prominent role in ME3. We already know that Bioware stated that they want the players LI's from ME1 to make it into ME3 so it's very logical why they all got such small roles in ME2. ME2 was about the reapers using their final resource to attack the species that happened to successfully stop them, so this game was a "suicide mission" and honestly who in their right mind would take someone they love on a mission where they could possily die?

I would assume you'd want to keep them safe right? Now on why I think any LI from ME1 will be in ME3 is really simple; Shepherd has stopped the reapers twice right? So when faced with an enemy so far that can't be stopped you find their weakness and you exploit it. That means any of Shepherd family, friends, LI are potential targets and I don't see any reason why this wouldn't be the case in ME3. Now specifically Liara, she thwarted the Collectors from having Shepherds body and obviously Harbinger should know this as he was always in control.

Makes sense to me that Harbinger/Reapers would want revenge against the one woman that basically helped Shepherd complete his mission on ME2. Well that's my opnion.

I don't think Harbinger/Reapers have that emotion or any for that fact other then having a goal and getting to that goal by any means ie: Shepards genetic code for their Human Reaper and of course their 50,000 year Harvesting trip.

On Squadmates for ME3, I can see Liara, Garrus, Tali coming back, they know the whole story getting to that point first hand, then possibly Grunt since Shepard is his Battlemaster, the rest I see going on about their business, just not sure about Miranda and what's his face...

Maybe even Mordin, I liked him. Although he is an old salarian...

Morning..Just went through the comic Redemption #1, 2, 3 again and I really don't like that Drell Feron much, no matter how close Liara gets to Shepard he somehow hinders it, intenionally or not.

*sigh*

If Feron is working for Cerberus, then he did probably intentionally miss Tazzik's ship at the end of issue 2. At the beginning of issue 3, TIM tells Miranda that it's important that they not only recover Shepard's body, but find out WHY the Collector's want the corpse too. That's why he tells Miranda to let Tazzik's ship get away, and that he has "other assets involved", ie Feron.

Hence, that's why Feron deliberately missed Tazzik when he fired that cannon at the end of issue 2, to give Tazzik a chance to get away so they could follow him to allow TIM to find out the reason why the Collector's want Shepard's  corpse.

It's probably why Liara distrusts Feron so much aswell, and seems to want to get rid of him whenever he's no longer of any worth. Liara's intuition is telling her that he's hiding something, and is not to be trusted.

@Somebody1003: Yeah, it is great to be in a place filled with intelligent discussion on Liara and pictures of the Beautiful Blue Goddess.:wub:<3<3

I would rather see the ME2 squadmates go away in ME3, I had no attachment to them whatsoever.
I did like some of them Samara, Zaeed (British Chuck Norris, that is why I like him, lol), Legion had the potential to be really cool but BioWare cut out most of his dialogue and scenes I think.
But I don't really give a crap about any of them (I play as Paragon all the time and I would kick them all out of the airlock if Liara wanted to move in), I just love Liara.

Liara is definitely setup to be a squadmate in ME3, which will be amazing.<3
The ME1 squadmates were pretty cool, Ashley was like a really good friend to my Shep, of course Liara was her love (and a really good friend).
Even though Kaidan annoys me with his nonexisitant mixed signals (how the hell did you not notice my Shep ogling Liara?), I still kind of feel bad when he dies (it is almost like he tries to purposely make you feel bad, lol).

I'll miss Samara, since I'm partial to Asari as well.  But I'm sure we'll see her in a cameo.  Same with Mordin.  But as far as having them in my squad.... they can take a hike.  Not having Liara by my side was such a huge distraction, it drastically reduced the amount of enjoyment I should've gotten out of ME2.  Seriously, it's not a bad game.  It's a damn good game.  But I missed Liara so much, the whole experience felt hollow.

I need her back.  Badly.

I think he works for the Council, their covert ops section, just doesn't fit him working for SB or Cerb, the Council just wants Shepard and his "Reaper" thing gone. arse-holes

Also, like the rest of you, couldn't give a monkey's about the ME2 squad, just as long as I get my Liara back!

Like ratz said, Collectors stopped, Human colonies saved, T-800 destroyed, ties to Cerberus cut. Great.

Next destination: Illium. Reason? Pick up Liara, comfort and console her, hugs and kisses and back to work together,

There's room for 1 more in a squad. You can have Liara, and then one other person. If they bring Mordin or Samara back, it's going to be one of those two. Of course though, in Samara's case, she'll probably return to her code and part ways. I really hope they don't try and add someone new though, there's enough characters already. I hope they just handpick some ME1 and ME2 members to make the squad selection, and of course they need to have Liara return.

I do agree though, I need Liara's return :crying:

This. =]

For some reason Samara did nothing for me as a character (she was really useful fighting the collectors on floating platforms, though).  The idea of her hunting her daughter is interesting, but I found her kinda boring overall.

The new character I liked best (not counting Tali or Garrus, who are ME1 characters) was actually Miranda.  I liked her cool calculating persona, and the role she played as TIM's agent.  She's not Shep's best friend; rather I saw her as a worthy foil to Shepard.  And I like how at the end she quits Cerberus if you choose the right options.  So I wouldn't mind her coming back.

But I'd toss the lot of them out the window for Kaiden/Ashley and especially Liara.

Ugh tell me about it. In my play, hearing Anderson say the council just wanted to slip all the stuff Shepard dug up, back under the rug I was pissed. I reinstated spectre status because you never know when it will come in handy again, but I really really hope they let us "ah yes, reapers" finger quote that damned turian right back.

Samara was a neat character, really tragic outcome. I doubt she'll return though, now that the collectors are stopped, she'll return to her original code. I didn't care for Miranda until she dropped Cerberus right at the end. It was a pleasant surprise and made me actually have respect for her. Still though, if Kaidan/Ash return and Liara, I know my squad choice. :D

Samara was cool, but I could care less about her being in ME3.
Miranda was ok but I just found her to be a b*tch.

Mordin was the only new ME2 squaddie that I would like to have on my team.
Plus he can have that "talk" with my Shep about Liara.:D

I would use regular quotes but I don't want to break the forums. If you overquote a pic all those formatting errors show up.

At this point, BioWare completely ignored the storyline for ME2 and turned it into Gears of War. WTF is there even to continue from ME2 into ME3?
I believe they will just wipe the slate (ME2 squadmates) and start ME3 the way ME2 should have been (with all the Liara you could ever want. Even though that is impossible, as we can never get enough Liara).

The suicide mission made no real sense to the story *cough* Gears of War 2 Crappy storyline rip-off (I hate shooters) *cough* and nothing that happened even had an impact on the galaxy, ME2 should have been ME1.5.

I will be exuberantly happy once we get the happy Beautiful Blue Goddess back in DLC and ME3.<3:wub:
Liara doesn't deserve to feel the guilt she is feeling.

think he would have more then a cameo spot.

Well the only thing I can see is at least the collectors were stopped from abducting humanity and making the giant terminator.

I dont see what they will do now though for ME3 that continues from ME2 though.

Err theres a possibility that liara might be joining shepard's squad in one of the dlcs. I mean think about it, in the characters page you can see that there are still 2 characters that are "classified", which suggests that well...there are 2 more dlc characters for the future apart from Kasumi Goto. Now for why i think liara could be part of your crew, she still has some "unfinished" business with the shadow broker, which can be a perfect setup for a loyalty quest AND the "how are you doing?" chat option is still available from her which infact lead to the previous quest/mission "liara tthe observer".....sooo just putting it out there since this is exactly the kind of stuff we won't expect but would love to get our hands on it if it were to ever come out......now come to think of it, maybe the other "classified" member is the survivor from vrimire....
