This is horribly off-subject, but the term "RPG" does not nessecarily mean D&D game combat mechanics. You are still playing a role, you are still creating your character and your place in the world of the story. You just are doing that with a combat system that works like a straight-up shooter.
Fair enough. I really don't like a lot of the other changes in ME 2 too, and I have my definition of what an RPG should contain. We may disagree on such matters, but let's not discuss that in this thread.

I was hoping for the exact same thing.General Stubbs wrote...
Yeah, not that the gameplay is bad or anything (the combat is a million times better than ME1's combat), the story itself just doesn't make a goddamn lick of sense.
I still wish there were more RPG elements in the game, I don't really think it was necessary to cut them all out. But I could have dealt with it if Liara was there.
Honestly, a 5 - 7 hour Liara DLC (and anything else she will be involved in before ME3) will make it up the nonexistant storyline of ME2 completely. Again, I could have easily dealt with the ME2 story if Liara was there at my Shepard's side. Go Lovely Liara DLC! <3:wub:
After ME1, I got my hopes up that ME2 would continue right off of ME1 and Liara would still be there and we would be able to contiune the relationship on the Normandy.
At least it will happen in ME3.
Really, I could have dealt with all of ME2's shortcomings if Liara was there and we were able to continue the relationship emotionally and romanticly. Again, go Beautiful Blue Goddess DLC. <3:wub:
I thought that we'd continue from around the same time, and that Id be able to continue my relationship with Liara.
But no, just a little dialog with her and a pic of her on my desk.

Exactly. Dragon Age had "more intricate romances" according to most. It was in development longer. Generally speaking, longer development times usually produce a better product. Just look at how much crap we're finally getting back for ME2 that is DLC now...

For people who have downloaded the Firewalker DLC, is anyone else seeing those clouds of blue, swirling energy next to the Mass Effect logo on the title screen? They're just above the dying sun, and there even looks like there's the outline of something in the distance, near the clouds of energy.

But, I'm extremely confident Liara's DLC will ease all that pain in ME2, and we'll get her accompanying Shep as a temporary squadmate for her DLC mission, with plenty of deep, emotional lines and scenes and the ability to ease Liara's emotional pain, tell her not to be guilty and rekindle the romance. I just want Liara to be happy again, I hate seeing her so sad.
Love Liara, the BBG!

Interesting. I'll have to check for that when I get home. I'm at work and can't download it yet.

Have to agree with what alot of people are saying, ME2 really did feel empty and hollow for me without Liara at my side. I missed her so much! I actually at one point stood on the balcony of the human embassy and looked out at the parts of the Presidium you could explore in ME1, and just remembered running around and exploring the area with Liara. God I missed her!

Does anyone find it weird that you couldn't explore the citadel? I mean, they didn't have to make a lot of new stuff. Just use the old maps and throw in some basic NPCs to interact with a little.

But instead it was half the size and it just sucked. I didnt like it at all in ME2.

It would have been great to talk to some random people about the Battle of the Citadel.
I also look off the balcony and remembered the old and good times with the Lovely Liara.
There will be happy times with Liara once again, we just need to help her right now. <3

My Shep isn't going to leave her quarters for a week once Liara comes back to stay with her.
If anyone comes to the door to check on them (after they have disappeared for several days) they will probably be hearing, "Embrace Eternity" for a long, long time.

So far, for the PC-version of the Hammerhead DLC, I've noticed that the keys the tooltips tell you to use to get the Hammerhead to do things (jump, mine), are wrong. I've also found a couple of bugs.

Nah, it's different somehow. Her voice, the way she's slithering over to Shep on the couch like a snake.
Liara closes her eyes, opens them again and the black looks really sweet, with the little white parts in them. Morinth's eyes looked a creepy inky black.
