I think that's a bit much.  What galaxy, if the Reapers aren't dealt with first?

Don't get me wrong, my Shepard loves Liara, but priority rests on pissing off the race of ancient mecha-gods for a second time.  Work first.

Yeah, there is always time to comfort Liara before fighting the Reapers. :wub:<3:wub:
It seems the Reapers are still coming after two years, so they aren't going to be there for a while anyway.

I wonder how Liara will feel about all the discoveries made by Shepard when we can tell her. Her scientific curiosity will have gotten the better of her once again. :D<3:wub:

We will be able to share everything with her, when melding. So she will get to see everything. It's a heartwarming thought.

I've just realised, it's now Wednesday here so it's only 2 weeks now until the last issue of Redemption is released. Can't wait until we find out just what is really going on with Liara in ME2. I really do think it's going to turn out that TIM has manipulated her in some way.



Then we can look forward to the Liara DLC!

Seriously, I know why they were going where they were, but I swear, stuff was missing.

By the way, sc (can I call you sc? ;)), great post on that thread.  We tend to love the bookish side of Liara so much that we completely forget -- she's kicked more than her share of ass in the short time we've known her.  She's probably actually doing something important regarding the connection between the SB and the Collectors/Reapers that got lost in the rush to rewrite the story.  But, again, she canon-loves Shepard by our reckoning, either deeply platonically or :wub: otherwise :wub:, and nothing can change that.

... plus I personally think that she likes or loves one part of her current job, the sifting of information, which isn't at all different from what she did as an archaeologist ... the acquiring of said information is another story, though -- you can almost see her make a face at it like she's literally smelling the 'bodies (that) still smell' in the appropriate line.

I actually dreamt a few weeks ago that I saw a full 3D rendering of Liara in her Redemption armour online, as like a "preview" of sorts for Liara's DLC.

Imagine my disappointment when I woke up.:pinched: Can't wait for the Liara DLC!!

The way Liara smiles and lights up when Shepard says. "You told me all that off the top of your head." And she replies, "I'm a very good Information Broker, Shepard" That was nice. It tells me one, that she was glad to impress Shepard and be helpful, that made her a little happy. Second it tells me, she kind of enjoys what she is doing, if only it wasn't like it is, you know.



I know other people see Liara as this weak little bird (Little Wing) that she is out of her league, or couldn't protect and handle herself. But she isn't. She's smart, strong, and driven by love. That's a powerful mix. Pity anyone that gets in her way.

I love that part. It's one of the few times in ME2 that Liara smiles and looks genuinely happy. I too like to interpret that as Liara being pleased that Shep complimented her and glad that she could help Shepard.

I think her infatuation with the Protheans is pretty much resolved once she found out what Vigil had to say, sure it be nice to poke about the ruins but this information digging, is as you say, up her alley and has more interest for
her now, I had wondered why there was no option to tell her they (Protheans) are the collectors though.

The only thing that keeps my faith in BW to not let us down is the small touches they throw in, one that really sticks out in my mind is when Shepard is looking at her picture before suicide mission, the music is different but the thump, thump, thump, thump (fading) thump, thump of the original Love theme score from ME1, that took a little effort to mix with that music, maybe I'm looking for hope where none is, but it's there heh

Somebody Liara isn't smiling like that because she's enjoying her job as an information broker. She's pleased that Shepard has complimented her, and that she's being helpful to him/her.
