Don't worry, we'll all cheer up again when Redemption reaches it's conclusion and we get the Liara DLC. We just need to remain positive until then!

Agree about the mourning, too. People have said that Liara fans are currently really miserable. I can't say it's unjustified, as alot of us are experiencing almost a feeling of loss after ME2 and alot of uncertainty with regards to her future.

I wonder if this is how Liara felt when she was desperately trying to get Shep's body back from the SB?  Maybe we need a comic about a Liara fan infiltrating Bioware in order to get Liara back!

I volunteer!

I agree with you about the sense of mourning.  I don't feel as fun and light-hearted as I used to when I come on to these forums.  Sadly, a lot of us feel the same way and our threads aren't full of the fun and merriment that the Tali or Miranda threads have.  The Kaidan fans seem to keep things positive, however.  I don't know how they do it.

Maybe we can learn a bit from the Kaidan fans. I understand everyones sense of mourning as well, but sometimes it's too much. We need to bring up some of the good stuff too.

Ummm, she's being spied on so she wouldn't send an email. Part of her aloofness was the fact that she had enemies everywhere. her distance was probably in order to protect Shepard.

Yap, she even tells you that she can't speek openly because all of her conversation are most likely being recorded...

That's one of the big reasons I think that there wasn't a huge acknowledgement of the relationship. How much do you want to bet that when she turned the body over to Cerberus, that had to have come at a price. TIM may be playing off of her love for Shepard in some way. Also, she can't say too much revealing stuff with the Shadow Broker trying to track her every step of the way. There's more to it than we know. I'm looking forward to some DLC and ME3 to reveal all of this.

Only reason why she should be back is because we need a lesbian/bisexual LI in ME3

Yes.  Still, I'm not going to believe it until someone from BW says it's so.  The existence of the files tell me that they've planned for Liara DLC, but will they follow through?

/shrug I reserve my right to remain pessimistic and bash the BW writers endlessly till they give me a reason not to.  They failed to do that with ME2 (before which I was a bit of a BW fanboy).

Unless BW continues with their 'de-gaying' of ME, maybe Liara will dump FemShep and only be an option for MaleShep?

There's a rumour that BW will be showing some DLC at GDC (lots of acronyms there) in mid-March, you never know it might be Liara-related. Would only be a couple of weeks before the last issue of Redemption is released. Probably unwise to get your hopes up, as they might not be showing anything at all.

Where's this rumor coming from?

My guess is that it would be related to the Hammerhead and missions involving its use.  I still think it's too early for us to get any substantial story DLC like the Liara one (unless they've already been working on it for awhile now, which is a possibility).

Sorry Marcin, I just feel the need to qualify everything with 'if', 'but', and 'maybe' at the moment, seems pessimism is contagious.

You can't treat and discuss this like a real-life thing. It always has to be viewed from a story telling perspective. So if there is more to it than the reader / viewer / player knows, it has to be explained one way or another. You can try to correct such an amateurish oversight by putting the info into the next installment, but that doesn't change the fact that you've done a bad job of story telling, especially if the audience has to wait two years for revelations that were required NOW for scenes to make any sense.

The only thing we can do is voice our opinion in the forums. Before ME 2 was released, I didn't frequent the ME forums. I thought, it's BioWare, the game will be alright. What's more, I didn't want to read any spoilers. Now I learn that people have been complaining endlessly about the RPG elements, the Mako, pretty much everything else that made part 1 great, and have been screaming for Tali romances and stuff. I still doubt that BioWare listened to them anymore than they do to us now, I rather think the changes (perhaps apart from the romances) are due to time constraints and them trying to appeal to the casual gamers. Furthermore, the screamers and the shooter crowd are apparently still in a majority, so anything we write has little chance of influencing anything anyway. Still, one can always hope. I will of course make use of my only other tool - voting with the wallet - if necessary.

I haven't looked up info on a GDC in a long time. Do they do any revealing of stuff like they do at E3?

OK, thx morrie. That's only in 2 weeks, right?

So do you think 'revealing DLC' means showing stuff that's already finished and about to be released, or are they going to simply introduce DLC that they are planning on releasing in the future? If it's the former then I would say it probably won't be Liara related, if it's the latter then it could be related to her.
