Didn't know that it was the Shadow

going to give/sell it to Collectors.

Yup, if it weren't for Liara, Shep would now be part of the human Reapers left pinkie.

Also, remember that something needs to happen that Liara considers "screwing it up", as she says in ME2, and that she barely escapes with her own life.

I wonder just what it is that will be revealed in the final issue. There has to be something that explains Liara's situation in ME2, as I really do feel we're not being given the whole story in the game. Got to be something to do with Cerberus and TIM, considering that he flat-out lies about Liara at the beginning of the game. He's manipulating her, I just know it.

Funny that i never asked Timmy about Lili  even if i have such option... but my Force senses told me that i might not like what he will tell me so i skipped that part ^_^.

And when he ask me if my Shep quit past relationship my reply was "Not your damn business"... apparently another indication that Timmy was planning to cut Shep out of her past life but that attempt end whit pretty nice fireworks in Galactic Core:O:O when i blown up  that base in 1000000000 tiny pieces:lol:.

And if he will try to threat Lili  again... Reapers will be last thing whit he could be worried:devil:

Yeah, especially when you ask about Liara and TIM says she can't be trusted...

Indeed Les, we're definitely being kept in the dark in the game. TIMs modus operandi is manipulation, he does it to Shep in game. I expect something to be in the comic that explains the relationship between TIM/Cerberus and Liara. I believe it will be pretty much: 'SB is now after you Liara, we can protect you, work for us against the SB and let Shep get on with his job when he returns. Or you'll never see Shep again because you'll be dead.'

TIM probably lies to Shep about Liara to keep him isolated and ensure he does as he's told.

If that is the case, then how difficult must it be for Liara to hold back her emotions and love for Shepard when she first sees Shep again, after being told by TIM not to fraternize with Shepard anymore?

Liara's there, the person she's sacrificed so much for and loves more than anything in the world, and she's forced to act distant from said person. It must be killing her. Poor Liara.

Well in any case there has to be someone holding a protective hand over Liara because at the end of the comic she is in kind of a bad situation Cerberus will not ask two times politely to give them the body and you can pretty much sure about the fact that the Shadow Broker will come after her because she ruined his once in a lifetime deal.
I guess that will put other faction on her trail to should the SB put a bounty out,if we are realistic without a protector in the background she should be dead by now.
TIM of course would make the most sense, hes quite able to do that,as seen he was able to keep Mirandas sister safe from her father for a long time and Mirandas father seems to be either a very powerful corporate figure or criminal.
The only question is what he gains from protecting Liara and setting her up on Illium,I put some thoughts into it and irc TIM says he has his problems in contending with the SB in the Terminus systems so you could assume he uses Liara to gain a better foothold, who would ever suspect an alien working for a pro human organisation.
Of course a yet unnamed third faction could also be stuck somewhere in the mess though I'm not a fan of that

Well said Noxis. It makes some sense that TIM would us Liara as a tool to gain more info on the SB, she has a reason to hate the SB and as it is said in game, people respect her so she could get the job done.

Busy Friday justin? I believe today will be a POETS day for me (P*ss Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday).

Good Morning fellow Liara fans!
Couple pics from my (yet another) ME1 playthrough.

Liara when she thought Shepard was squished

Liara when she saw Shepard wasn't squished (even Wrex looks happy)

While I was going through all *blush* 89 screenshots just from lastnights playthrough session, Liara was in the Colossus armor, this song kept creeping into my mind

I guess the  problems with Cerberus protecting Liara would be three things.
One, they apparently aren't doing that great of job if they are, because the Observer was Liara secretary.
Two, everyone knows who Liara is on Illium, no matter whow powerful your organization is, it would be almost impossible to protect her against everyone.
Lastly, compared the the SB's empire, TIM and Cerberus are little schoolchildren. It would be like trying to take every Mafia in the world down with just one police force from a small city.
No one has ever been able to even get close to taking down the SB, so how is TIM suddenly able to after just several decades and barely any operatives compared to other spec-op organizations?

Good Morning!
Poor Liara, she looks devestated in the first picture. :crying: You can see how much she really loves Shepard.
Lol, Wrex is trying to get someone to look at him so he puts himself right beside Liara. He does a little reptilian grin going on there.

Liara looks so relieved and happy in the second one.

On this strain of thought could this 3rd faction you speak of be the Council? granded they haven't been to bright in the past but, they are conservative or have been shown to be, I'm still of the opinion they are ALOT more well aware of things then they let on, you can't run a galaxy wide governing body being idiots for a couple millenia, atleast I have hopes they are more aware, after all it was the Asari that started it, and they aren't stupid.

Oof. 7:20AM. I think I'll go to sleep for the night now... (He says as the sun is already above the eastern horizon.)

I have discovered that I still don't like drawing characters. I'll put up with it for Lili, Garrus, and FemSheppie though.

Well noone says the protection is perfect and you can apply this to every other faction you can make up to protect her.
That everyone knows Liara on Illium can we be so sure thats how she started out, just because she is Benezias daughter,Illium may be a Asari dominated world but its not part of council space so how it would depend how much they care about council politics there.
Personally I see Illium as kind of a crossover between a tourist trap and Noveria.
Hm well if the SB dwarfs TIM then Liara should be nothing compared to him,how should she be able to do it after just two years, frankly her line about having the SB on the run gets more and more ridiculess the more you think about it.
Also imo TIM and SB are pretty much even I think since in this game its not about having the biggest army but the most ressourcefull one

On the council as sad as it sounds but I think they are for all intents and purposes idiots in the game, besides why would they employ someone of a "lesser" race like Feron if they could send a spectre given they would think it is important

"To find a hero... another must be lost."

I think this confirms my theory...

There's only two main characters in the comic... Liara and Feron.

In no way shape or form could Feron be considered a hero...

So Liara is lost ...

And the Liara in ME2 is a clone/robot!

Thanks for that!  I think Liara becoming 'lost' is more symbolic than her dying and having a clone/robot take her place :P

heh don't let the Drell supporters hear you say that, Honestly though, why wouldn't they have Feron on the payroll? they are as sneaky as Salarians are suppose to be but tougher, Spectres are to open or visual as it were, Feron is/was as told in the comic working for SB or has taken jobs from SB that is, why can't the Council have a Drell in their covert ops section? planted to keep tabs on SB.

Thanks for those screenshots, Unata! I do love your Liara ones!

I love the look of joy and relief on Liara's face when she sees that Shepard hasn't been killed. It's so heartwarming!

BW should patch that ending scene. If Liara is your LI, then you get an extended version in which Shep rushes over to her and gives her a big kiss.

I do agree that the protection can't be perfect, but in this case it has to be, Liara is in constant danger, that is why I wonder how she is being protected.
I think the SB has other plans for her that Shepard needs to stop to save her love (of course Liara won't have any chance of dying though), why was he "Observing" Liara instead of killing her? What does he have to gain is the question.

It is definitely about having the most resourceful army, but what happens when your army is a thousand times bigger and more resourceful than the other one?
The SB has been around for almost forever, he knows every trick in the book and he has been in every situation you can imagine. That type of knowledge comes with the amount of time her has been around for.
He couldn't have kept himself hidden and kept an empire of the magnitude going perfectly if he wasn't ten steps ahead of everyone else.
Just the amount of information he controls is a testament to his massive power and intelligence.

Bioware is to transparent to me on that, I believe they mean Feron, Liara says he saved her life, that is "Heroic" to some and if he is lost then my worries about him messing with Liara are calmedImage IPB
