Could you imagine how Liara's heart starts thumping when she sees Shepard walk around the corner for the first time?
Oh Goddess! Shepard, you're back. I've missed you so much, and I love you. But do you still love me? Do you hate me? What am I going to say to you?

The hologram isn't an NPC though so it doesn't have to exist on the level like you have with being able to see TIM on the cave wall at the baby reaper, or the M-44 in that one Hammerhead mission. It's just a scripted video effect that plays when you open that door, Liara says her stuff, and then it disappears. I think she's just standing there in a holding pattern waiting to interact with it when you open the door.bjdbwea wrote...
The holo is not there at that moment. As I said, she stands there, looking out of the window, sometimes shaking her head.
PC cheats can be found here. Have a look if you want, but unfortunately there's nothing more to find out.

That's what I've suspected. Liara's placement at the window is so that it triggers the cutscene when you first enter her office.
Still, no harm in imagining that Liara is waiting for Shepard's return, depserately pining for the moment when she can see her lover again.

It's kind of important - this is for a commissioned picture.

I actually thought it was cool that Liara dealt with Nyxeris herself instead of being all hysterical and needing Shepard to dash back and save her from her evil secretary. Liara most definitely likes to cuddle, but she doesn't need coddling.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nyxeris knew Shepard was just about there and patched an irate customer call through intentionally. She most definitely intentionally didn't page/intercom Liara about Shepard walking through that door and she had to know Liara was in the middle of dealing with some deadbeat.

Yup. I thought it was lame in ME1 when you're romancing her as maleshep how he kept trying to say "I'll take care of you." She just kept reminding him she wasn't looking for that, but more for companionship. Liara definitely holds her own.

I'm trying to figure out if Liara's skin-color actually changed between ME1 and ME2, or if it's just the lighting in her office. In ME1, her skin color was a rich blue. Now it's a light, powder blue.

I think it's the light from the normandy on ME1 was a little blue and the light of Ilium is kinda white-ish color, that could make a huge impact on an image.....I don't think her skin changed but I could be wrong

It's definitely somewhat lighter, but the lighting when Liara is seated at her desk makes her skintone look even more lighter than when she's standing up.
Look at the difference between her colour in the pic I posted, and my avatar. They've also dulled her vibrant blue eyes to a duller grey. It's sad, but I can't help but think it's intentional due to all of her emotional torment and stress she's suffered.

I think it was done from an artistic viewpoint to portray that very idea. I just hope our happy ending brings her back to normal.

I think it is the lighting myself, it was really weird when I was using the editor to change my skin tone to asari blue. I was getting blue, grey, or chalky peach depending on where I stood in her office.
I was going to try and use that Texmod thingy to capture her face texture and then compare them but haven't gotten around to doing that yet as I am a procrastinator.

I would assume massive stress might effect the Asari differently (our hair goes grey and white) and might dull their skin tone. It makes me even more sad that Liara has gone through so much hell that she isn't her beautiful blue colour anymore.
Maybe a bit of it is the lighting, but the beautiful blue she was in ME1 is completely different from her colour in ME2, so I can't help think that some of it might have been done purposely.
I am sure that she will be able to go back her original beautiful blue once Shepard comforts her.
She just needs to get rid of the stress, I am sure it will talk a while to help her throughout the DLC. She needs to know that Shepard loves her no matter what she had to do and she is not judging her and loves her with all her heart.
I love the Lovely Liara so much!!!
