I don't think it is arrogant, remember how Liara's entire world was shattered in an instant when Shepard died the first time?GodWood wrote...

Regarding Liara after Shepard has passed away, to be honest with you I can't see her taking another partner after Shepard has gone. Shepard means so much to her, and is without a doubt the most important person in her life, ever, and is the person that means the absolute most to her. I see Liara as honouring Shepard's memory through their children, raising them the right way as tribute to her dearly missed bondmate. I can see Liara taking a leading role in society, considering how well regarded she must be amongst the asari for her help in saving the galaxy. Liara would dearly miss Shepard, but she would also cherish and remember how happy she made her, and would honour and live out those memories through their children and through her influence and role she could lead in asari politics and society.
That would mean she'd spend the rest of her 800 years existence never having another loving physical relationship.
Shes still barely more than a child and hasn't even got to live out her wild years and you're wanting her to settle down and look after the kids for the rest of her life.
She was sad beyond belief and she was grieving heavily.
Liara even said she never thought about ever having love until she found Shepard (or Shepard found her, lol), Shepard is the only person Liara ever thought about loving like a partner.
We know BioWare, unfortunately, will probably kill Shepard off at three hundred, possibly four hundred because of the extremely advanced cybernetics (even though she should be able to easily live till a thousand at that point goddamn it. So much for realism BioWare...).
Liara will be just over 400 years old and spent the majority of her years with her love, I don't believe she would ever try to find love again after losing someone who changed her life completely and whom she loves more than her own life.
I could imagine her honouring her love through her children and her own actions, I don't believe she would ever want love from another or would try to find love after Shepard.
Shepard and Liara love each other beyond belief (even though Shepard has a dumb look on her face during the reunion, but that will be fixed in the DLC where we can comfort Liara).
It's just in her personality.
