Humans just haven't been present in the galactic scene long enough to justify the SB being human, IMO. A member of a long-lived species that has been around for a long time and that excels at espionage and intrique would be ideal, i.e. an asari.
Well it could be a Salarian dynastie running the whole thing, the salarian females seem to have a thing for the whole intrigue and information dealing stuff, plus even if they are not as hyperactive as Mordin their minds are quite fast so they are capable,of course the flaws her are there is no salarian female model in the game and its a safe bet that Bioware is too lazy to create one

Hey... Shepard needs to express her love to Liara, she apparently can't do it in the reunion with words, so she needs to do it through song, lol.UFOash wrote...

You know, seeing Liara sing to Shepard would be extremely cute.
Although maybe it should be a duet. Shepard needs to own up to that dumb look on her face in the reunion... Through song!
If that happened I would shoot myself

Actually, I think we can pretty much dismiss any chance of the SB being Liara's other parent. How would Benezia have ever come into contact with the SB, if the SB only works through agents and never shows it's face?
That's the point, no one has seen SB, so SB could be the pretty Asari you passed in the hall or a dancer in Afterlife

Yeah, but what asari in either game hasn't been discussed as being Benezia's partner at some point? Before ME2 was released the pool of candidates was smaller, but not the amount of speculation. I feel bad for the asari Councilor, she's been getting like no speculatory love since the bartender and Shadow Broker came on the scene. Personally, there are several hundred trillion asari that could have been Benezia's partner so I just don't worry about it.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
The SB turning out to be some suave, sophisticated well-dressed human would probably be the biggest and most predictable anti-climax ever. I like the idea of the SB being an asari, it would make sense with their melding abilities to store and transfer information.
I don't think I want the SB to be Liara's other parent. She's got enough emotional pain on her plate, I don't want to see her suffer any more.

When the asari bartender on Illium said she had a child with an asari but never saw them again I thought maybe she could have been Liara's "father".
"Thats just my opinion though, no need to go spreading it around"

SB is Aria, she said information is power
She's too much in the public eye. Also, Omega is rather small-time in the grand scheme of things. She fancies herself to be "Queen of Omega"?...uhhh great, queen of some dinky space station run by thugs, pretty much like being the smartest kid with down syndrome. I doubt she's the SB.

I doubt we will ever meet Liaras father, the whole asari counciler theory never really stood on solid ground as for the bartender,I guess it was a small nod in that direction but I doubt she really is it.
As for the SB being it,well it has potential I give it that,it also would give an explaination as to why Liara wasnt just killed, but on the other hand its still a somewhat weak twist to make.

Or through the power of interpretive dance. But seeing as Shepard can't dance, s/he probably can't sing very well either...General Stubbs wrote...

Maybe s/he could shoot somebody full o' holes in the shape of a heart, and present the corpse to Liara. Shepard's good at shooting, right?

I do think that the whole "Liara's other parent" issue is a Chekov's Gun. You don't introduce and talk about that, then have it floating around in the background without it having some significance.
I agree, it means something somewhere down the line. I think it's Matriach Aethyta.
If I had to put a team together to save Liara it would be Aethyta, Grunt and my Shepard hehe

I agree with that Aria is really too much in the view of the public besides,if shepard would not have come around to recruit Garrus she had a good chance of becoming the newest corpse on Omega, but Shepard basicly killed off the competition.

If Shepard talks to Aethyta after becoming drunk from imbibing the
mystery drink, she will appear younger and have pink facial markings and
lipstick.
