I agree, it means something somewhere down the line. I think it's Matriach Aethyta.

If I had to put a team together to save Liara it would be Aethyta, Grunt and my Shepard hehe

I think it was just mentioned in ME1 to give Liara a reason to explain about asari relationships and reproduction for the Codex entries. 
The way I see it is that Benezia's partner is either dead or a total and complete ass.  Because they abandoned Benezia in a manner that left Benezia in pain and unable to even talk about it with her own daughter.  And they abandoned their daughter for her entire life.  They were never there at any point for Liara, even when Benezia died.
I also think Liara dealt with it a long time ago.  She could have found out in any number of ways if she had really wanted to long before Shepard's parents were even born, let alone before she meets Shepard.  She always uses the term "Benezia's partner" for a reason, and only uses the word father once and even qualifies that to the role in reproduction.  If they're still alive Benezia's partner is even more of a failure at family responsibilty than Thane.

Based on my pretty shallow knowledge of Asari i must say that "divorces" are pretty rare within society.

Usually such relationship end whit death of one of the partners.

Remember that Asari and Krogan?, she says pretty clear that she known how long Krogan's life tap is so i think once Asari did form a relationship it last very long and that's why Aethyta's story is strange and suspiciously pointed in Lili's direction.

She was the father of pureblood child and (apparently) being unable to whitstand perhaps very harsh "critics" she and Benezia decide to split up but it's possible under agreement that she will never made contact whit Lili.



But its true that all this are more wild speculations as hard facts... so all we need is sit and wait if BW will decide to go in that way.

Her eyes, particularly in the pic I posted, are absolutely amazingly beautiful, they're incredible. I also think Liara has the most emotive face of all Mass Effect characters, really does help to bring her alive and make her even more loveable. (If that were even possible!)

This thread is on the way down the drain by the look of it, never seen so much spam in here before.

It's a sunday and people are trying to cope with life as BW has given it to us, without Liara at the moment, I give em the moment to vent/spam/laugh/cry whatever they need to deal with the unbearable wait til she is returned to us
