Yeah. I really wanted to apologize for dying. I just feel guilty about it, like I let her down. I also think Joker owed you at least a sincere apology, or a some demonstration of gratitude. Instead he gets all enthusiastic about how he left the Alliance to join a terrorist group.
It also is just plainly and unforgivably stupid that there isn't any LI specific interactions during the evacuation. Instead you either get bland neutral, or abrasive Renegade options. Can't even get a bone thrown to us before we get killed. At least Liara does sound caring when she reads the exact same lines all three of the ME1 people share.
Indeed. Liara's reluctance to leave, and that last pleading "Shepard..." before Shep then orders her to go is heartbreaking. It's so sad to think that's the last time she sees Shepard alive, before then being forced to watch helplessly from her escape pod as Shepard asphyxiates.
Like you said JP, I do wish there was a romance specific dialogue choice there. Maybe Shep could say "Don't worry, Liara. I'll see you again when I get out of here. I promise." Before grasping her hand. "Now go Liara, please. I'm trusting you to help get everyone out safely." Wouldn't have been so hard, would it?
