@General Stubbs What multi-tasking? get some info, store in this data base, asked for info grab it from that data base.
I'm not saying SB doesn't use VIs or a mass computer system, I just don't see how an AI would know what is or is not important to organics.

@noxis6 Then our lovely Liara is a criminal now.
Oh she sure is,she has her own thugs I guess for "convincing" people to pay,she has her own hitsquad to take people out at least it seems to be this way,if you pick the wrong target in the observer quest.
Frankly I dont want to know who her clients are but since Illium is Terminus systems all sorts of criminals are among them,in the worst case even slavers or pirates and I dont want to know what they do with potential info she sells them, you cant be picky with your clients in Liaras line of work nor can you sell faulty info thats going to hit you reputation.
The only reason she does her buisiness out in the open is pretty much the fact that Illium is as corrupt as Noveria.
To conclude Liara walks a dangerous path and she and Shepard have quite some things to talk about at least if the writers are willing

But that is the whole point of the SB, he knows everything and is involved in everything in the galaxy, he would not be good at his job unless he could remember every little bit of information that he goes through.Yeled wrote...
General Stubbs wrote...
But take it into account that the amount of information he would go through in one day would be impossible unless he had five to ten thousand people working for him in an office building and they were all able to immediately communicate with each other.
Why? He doesn't need to know everything that happens everywhere. He doesn't need to be omniscient. He needs to know the most important information that has the highest value, and honestly everything else is irrelevant. I can tell you that in a business like this 90 percent of your revenue is going to come from 5 percent of your transactions. It takes a ton of little microtransactions worth a few thousand credits to equal one that's worth 10,000,000 credits. So what do you think the SB concentrates on?
See, in order to run an operation like this you don't need to know everything. You simply need a system that ensures you get your hands on the most vital and valuable information. And since everyone in the galaxy knows you pay a lot of money for information like this, and do so discretely, everyone in the galaxy is going to look for a way to sell you the most valuable information. The whole system is based on reputation and a network of spies who can move information up the ladder.
As far as the quantity of information goes, its mostly irrelevant. Its really a self-sifting process. Someone is always trying to sell information to someone closer to you, who sells it to someone closer to you, who sells it to someone closer to you, until it finally reaches you. At some point someone in your network isn't going to pay for information they don't think they can sell to someone higher up the ladder. And thus you never get that information. Does that mean you miss something important? Sometimes. But mostly you get it right. And of course you have spies and such actively searching for particular info at the same time.
You could easily be the most powerful information broker in the galaxy, with access to all the right contacts and a vast network of spies, without needing to know every little bit of information available. If its not worth enough to you, you don't care.
You have to care about every little bit of information that goes through in that business, you could never trust someone else with giving you the right information so you would have to look through everything yourself.
If the SB trusted anyone else with anything he would already be dead.
But if you missed any bit of information, that would mean profit lost and people wouldn't consider you very professional, but the SB seems to always have the information people need.
But an A.I. makes sense for all of these things, it could be at the very top of the empire, it wouldn't have to have an inner circle of trusted associates because it would be able to do everything by itself.
It would be one screw up and your whole empires goes down, only an A.I. could run it that perfectly for so long.
The SB has been around for as long as people can remember, right?
I am not trying to argue with you the SB could only ever be an A.I. but I just think it makes more sense for the career he is in.
A.I. = massive intelligence which = never getting screwed over because you don't have to rely on underlings.

There certainly wasn't a reveal of Liara DLC. But until there is, I guess I can just look at these pictures and pretend there was.

Just doesn't fit into the current scope of ME story, if it was an AI I'd be seriously dissapointed in BW cause that type of story has been done to death.

It was a great decision to do it, Liara facial movements, her voice, her colour, and her body language all convey how much pain, stress, and heartbreak she has had to endure for so long.justinnstuff wrote...
I can almost guarantee it was symbolic. That's something that's harder and harder to find in stories these days.General Stubbs wrote...
But it is oh so heartbreaking to see The Beautiful Blue Goddess grey.
Even if a fraction of it was done purposely by BioWare or they didn't try and fix the lighting for symbolic reasons, it has a great emotional impact to us when Liara is without her beautiful blue.
I would have much rather had ME2 continue immediately after ME1and we could be happy with Liara, but even though it didn't, the emotions for Liara in the reunion are very well done.
Now we just need Shep to remember how much she loves Liara (that ****** Shep, at least say, "I love you").
Can't wait to comfort Liara in DLC!

Yes, but we knew it'd have nothing to do with the games, so...
but an "epic communitiy event" just in the US? What about the community in other countries... I'd call that epic fail

To be honest, it was a stretch from the beginning to really hope that it was going to be that. If Bioware are going to announce something like that, they'd probably do it differently.
