@ Stubbs: Why do you think his empire is so huge and fragile? Also, I don't think he's a mobster. That's not the right model. I think he's he's just someone with a vast network of contacts and spies. He just exhanges information for credits, buying info that he thinks he can sell to someone else. Its really not that complex, and doesn't require an empire or operation on the scale you're describing.

What I have been trying to say is I don't really think his empire is huge in the sense that he has a trillion people working for him, but just that he controls almost all information in the galaxy. That is a pretty massive empire and almost impossible to keep track of.
Like you said, his empire is not massive in that sense, so it just seems hard for me to believe that one guy or even a small group (the group would have turned on each other long ago) could run that much information in an impossible consistancy for a thousand years or so.
It would be like asking the President of the U.S to run the country by himself forever without any administration or advisors. The SB is not even near the scale, what he deals in is probably one thousand times more than what the President and his administration deal with, if he was an organic being, he would need a lot of help to keep track of it.
But if he was an A.I. he could do it all by himself.

I don't think he is a mobster either, but it is the only thing I could think of that we have in this day and age. He deals in information, he has an empire forged out of manipulation (and probably many killings), and is involved in pretty much anything that will make him money in his business, which is information. I was just using a mobster as an example because it is kind of similar in the sense that they almost do the same thing, but for them it always involves killing people.

Again, I am not saying you are wrong (I could be flat out wrong because I have no clue what BioWare is planning), but I just think the way he makes his job  look so easy is because his job is actually easy for him. But the only way it could be that easy is if he was insanely intelligent.

Yep, Shepard at least is hairless except for those mentioned parts on her noggin Image IPB  She's also, ahem, showing some perkiness when you get her out of those obscuring tops.  Makes me all sad there isn't a chance to have Liara run Shepard's rebuilt body through some paces to make sure everything works.  Maybe even some endurance tests for the sake of thoroughness.  Liara is a scientist after all and I'm sure she wouldn't settle for anything but a rigorous testing.

Granted he doesnt do slave trade or deal drugs at least to our knowledge, but is still a criminal without doubt, that has no problem with ordering the death of people that try to double cross him.
As for his Organisation, well to hold that amount of information it has to be quite big we can assume he at least has agents on any world of importance,as for fragility well he is the man on top all strings come together with him,so its clear everything stands or falls with him.
And I think the list of his enemies is quite long, would his identity become known his death is assured, everyone would want what he has, that doesnt give much room for trust, what actually makes it hard to believe it is a title handed down from one to another like the SIth Lord, how is he supposed to pick a sucessor and can be sure to trust him.
Of course there is still the thing with Liara ascending to his throne flying around, aside from that being a sure trip to cameoville for ME3 and me not willing to replace one criminal with another one,I wonder wouldnt that put her even in more danger at least in the cut content its said that some of the remaining agents know who they report to now, selling that knowledge to the right people might be worth quite something

If she is a squad mate, not in combat, no.  Those showy biotics are only for the comic.  Just look at Samara and Jack in ME2...awesome biotics in cut-scenes but both only have like two powers in combat.

I was dissapointed I couldn't make Samara couldn't 'fly' during combat.  :(

Interesting. I wish I had the PC version to check out all of this stuff. So Liara's and Benezia's face models are unique.

I'd assume they are in ME1.  I only checked out the ME2 textures so I'm not going to pretend like I know for certain with Benezia in ME1.  But in ME2; Liara has her own personal high-res face texture, Samara/Morinth have their own personal high-res face texture, and then there is a low-res generic asari face for the other asari.
I know for certain that Matriarch Aethyta and the asari around Illium all share that same generic face texture, even though each of them individually looks much different.  There are overlays that are applied to their faces for the facial tattoos/markings and the scalp patterns and then they are colored individually.  Those asari NPC's are mass produced by making cosmetic changes to the same facial texture.

They did a good job with it. Even though it's all one texture, they all look very different. They just apply the texture to different models (hence different facial features). I used to do some programming back in my college days but I was never that clever with it.

I was disappointed that squadies had a max of 3 powers after loyalty. I miss the days when squadmates had plenty to do. It was dumbed down too much. Still though, having Samara's loyalty power be a biotic flying move of some sort would have been freakin awesome =]

The game already has enough trouble with wacky physics.  Observe Zaeed's grenade power, or the general ragdoll physics when using Throw on a Pulled target.  I'd rather not run the risk of Samara falling off of the level in the middle of a firefight...

Part of the whole "expanding the audience" thing. They really insulted the intelligence of FPS and TPS fans IMO. Lol, they're too dumb to manage more than a few powers? Haha oook BW.:?

I wish they would have decided to cater to their loyal fans instead of bring in the fps crowd. I like ME for the RPG and story side of it. I like how streamlined the new combat system is, but I'd prefer more squad powers and some more interesting spec choices. Right now you can spec for everything except one line. That's hardly a choice. I am in the minority of old school players that doesn't miss the inventory though :P

The combat for ME2 was actually great, but I did indeed hate how they cut out almost all the RPG elements from the game.
The good thing about it though might have been that now EA got their initial cash, they will let BioWare focus on DLC for us RPG fans, which will definitely mean substantial Liara DLC.

Waiting for some Beautiful Blue Goddess DLC, I will be unimaginably happy when it comes out and we can finally comfort the Lovely Liara.<3:wub:
I love her so much.<3:wub:

I agree, while the combat was nice in ME2, I still loved ME1 and I hope they bring some stuff back from it in ME3.

That is a very nice picture : )

Those lighting changes really do make a huge difference. I'd much rather be able to actually see what is there than some splotchy shadowed garbage.

I think the pistol is a nice touch too. I can totally see Femshep honestly believing that a firearm is an accessory, like shoes or a handbag. And her pistol even coordinates with her dress!

She looks very similar to my female Shepard. The lack of long hair styles in both Dragon Age and in Mass Effect makes me sad, but it makes since for Mass Effect because she wouldn't want her hair getting in the way of running around and combat. Nice Picture :innocent:

You have just made my day. We need that exact scene in ME3! Liara and Shep dancing (I love Shep in a dress, need a cute conversation about that as well) and having a romantic conversation.
Beautiful! :wub::wub:<3<3:wub::wub:
