Hmmm... as for me I think I'd practically need two hours for a 560 point download ... for free though?  A mission and a scene in the med bay with Dr. Chakwas and her brandy, before the good Doc makes her excuses and leaves Shepard and Liara alone to talk... and maybe do a bit more than talk for the LiLi lovers.  That'd be fine with me.

Aren't there windows though in the new medbay? :?  Darn Cerberus!  Always trying to keep their eyes on everything.  Liara and Shep can't even sneak off into the AI core cause they will give Legion a flashlight eyeful!  LOL

Not unless I give Legion to Cerberus for scrap metal!

You know, this could work.

Seriously, though, have they never heard of blinds in the 22nd century?

Maybe they have those cool windows that haze when you push a button or a switch or something.[smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

But you can still see through them a little, just the image and people are blurry and distorted.[smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/ninja.png[/smilie]

Good morning my fellow BBG lovers!

Shadow, great to hear you've got some new Liara art on the way, though I'm a bit wary that Liara will be crying once again. If she's crying tears of happiness that'll be beautiful, though.

ratz, I absolutely love the idea of a picture of a pregnant Liara, with Shepard putting her ear up to the bump to listen to the heartbeat. I can almost picture the happy, contented and loving look Liara would have on her face. Beautiful.

Regarding Liara's DLC, I don't care if the actual shooting part of the mission is short, just as long as we get deep, emotional moments with Liara and we get the ability to comfort her, ease her emotional pain and make her happy again. Plus, I want an additional scene in Shep's cabin after the mission, in which the pair rekindle the romance by talking it out, with Liara opening her heart about how much she's suffered and how much she loves Shepard, and Shepard apologising for not being there for her. They then embrace warmly, with a single tear trickling down Liara's cheek. Aw, would be heartwarming.

Anyway, as this is my first post of the day I want to post a Liara pic, accompanied with a squee.

Good morning Les!

I'm with you on the Liara DLC, it doesn't need to be shooter heavy. I just want a good story and extensive dialogue between Shep and Liara.

Only 1 week to Redemption #4! Although I won't have a physical copy for another week after that probably. Hopefully someone on the forum can can give a synopsis of the story.

Morning morrie!

I think either Larask or Shavon will provide an extensive transcript, as they are able to buy Redemption from a comic shop the day it's released. I can't wait, I really want to find out what's going on with Liara in ME2 to help us better understand her predicament, and her suffering. Plus, we've then got Liara's DLC to look forward to. I can't wait!!

Glad to hear it, don't think I could wait another week. Busy week next week for BioWare, Kasumi out on the 6th, #4 on the 7th. I do hope they at least hint at some Liara DLC after next week, they'll have no reason not to, and no other major DLC we know of on the way.

Bump for the BBG!

So, does anyone else think that at the end of Redemption #4 Liara is going to be manipulated by TIM into working with Cerberus? I really do think that is what is going to happen, with TIM ordering Liara not to fraternize with Shepard any longer, and playing on her guilt and sowing the seeds of fear that Shepard will hate her.

TIM will offer Liara protection from the Shadow Broker, but tell her that's it's on the condition that she longer fraternize with Shepard. I can see Liara refusing, jeapordising her own safety because she wants to be close with Shepard again. TIM will then begin to play on Liara's emotions and guilt, and sow the seeds of doubt that Shepard will hate her. Liara, beginning to fear the worst that Shepard will indeed want nothing more to do with her, will then reluctantly agree to work with Cerberus.

If that is true, then TIM has a lot to answer for. It also means that, like Shepard, Liara is being forced into working with Cerberus. Not only does she need comforting and consoling for how much she's suffered in the two years Shep's been gone, but she also needs to be freed from Cerberus' clutches too.

hehe,  For my Shepard, it was love at first sight there. She was so cute stuck in that bubble. Couldn't help but smile and have a crush on her, while giggling about how it all looked. I like to think, Liara and my Shepard laugh about it now. I could see Liara making a naughty joke about it to Shepard, after they bonded, and learned everything about each other, Liara knows what went thru Shepard's mind when they first met. Liara would say something like. "So Shepard...you like seeing me bound and helpless do you..." she says this while tossing Shepard a pair of handcuffs with a wink.

Hehe, I wouldn't have thought Liara was someone who was kinky in the bedroom!

I was thinking about this earlier, but I wonder how Liara's search for Shepard's body began and came about? Liara would have obviously been in the deep, dark depths of grief and sorrow immediately after Shepard's death, but then I'd imagine she resolved to find Shepard's body to give her a dignified burial and so that Liara herself could say goodbye properly. That's when I'd imagine Liara would have begun to make tentative inquiries as to the whereabouts of Shepard's corpse through information channels. TIM, being an information broker himself and obviously keen to find Shepard's body as well, would have obviously recognised Liara and known that she was one of Shepard's crew, as well as being close to Shepard. That's when TIM would have recognised Liara as a useful tool and asset to find and recover Shepard's corpse. I'd imagine that TIM would have then anonymously tipped Liara off that someone would meet her on Omega that could inform her of Shepard's whereabouts, before sending Feron (whom I believe to be working for Cerberus) as his agent to keep an eye on Liara and assist and hamper her in order to meet TIM's goals. TIM could have planned Liara's involvement from the very beginning, seeing her as a useful tool for emotional manipulation via her love for Shepard and an effective way of recovering Shepard's corpse. TIM seems to know all about Liara when they first meet in Redemption #1, so it seems to me that he's planned to play Liara like this from the very beginning.

He's a total bastard, and I'm fully convinced that he's partly responsible for Liara's suffering and the situation she finds herself in during ME2. He's used Liara's love for Shepard like a tool. Like I said, a total bastard, and needs to pay for what he did to Liara.

I suppose it's possible TIM got Liara working for Cerberus in some form as repayment for helping her find Sheps body and bringing him back alive. I don't see a reason for TIM to forbid her to fraternize with Shep however, see no point in it. I think a lot of people is trying to hard to find a reason for how Liara behaves, I just think it's ****ty writing and nothing else. If it wasn't ****ty writing I think Shep would have behaved differently and showed more emotions in his dealings with Liara.

That would be awesome, and it would definitely go a long way to explaining the way Liara acts in ME2.  But honestly, I just don't have that much faith in the writers.  I'm assuming Redemption 4 will end with Miranda confronting Liara, and telling her that the only way to bring Shepard back is to hand her over to Cerberus. Liara will be forced to sacrifice her morality to save her "friend."  The added drama of TIM warning Liara to bury her feelings for Shepard would be a wonderfully tragic twist, but I havent seen anything from Mac Walters thus far that would suggest he's got the talent to pull off an ending like that.

Sorry for the pessimism.... I'll sneak back to the group now......

LD, the reason I'm thinking that TIM may have forbidden Liara from fraternizing with Shepard is that, if she is working for Cerberus, Liara may have access to information regarding alot of Cerberus' activities and experiments, and all the sick and twisted stuff that entails. TIM, concerned that Shepard may find out and refuse to work with him, would forbid Liara from getting close to Shepard again in order to be sure that Shepard never finds out about these Cerberus experiments or activities. Should Liara refuse, I'd imagine TIM would refuse to protect her and basically offer her up to the Shadow Broker, who is obviously out for Liara's blood for messing up his once in a lifetime deal.

Also, like I've said, if Liara did refuse to work with Cerberus due to TIM's orders not to fraternize with Shep, he could have then began to play on Liara's guilt and implanted the idea in her mind that Shepard would hate her. "Do you really think Shepard will want anything more to do with you after handing her body over to us, whom she considers the enemy? Shepard is going to hate you." He would emotionally manipulate Liara like some tool.

I fear you're right. The writers'll probably take the easy way and just have a Miranda/Liara confrontation like you suggested.

And don't let pessimism drive you away. Stay here and "fight" xD

As you know I'm an optimist about stuff like this, so....
Maybe redemption 4 ends with "The End...for now. The rest you are going to find out in the Liara DLC which will come out in a few weeks" ^_^

If Redemption ends like this, well, I'd be very happy.

I do hope #4 contains more than Liara just handing Shep over, just a few panels setting up a relationship with Cerberus in exchange for protection and leaving Shep alone once returned would be great. Come on Mac, don't let us down!

I higly doubt TIM would put Liara in posesion of such information to begin with. If she is working for Cerberus I think it is in the way of colecting information on the shadow broker.

It would be awesome because we'd finally have some solid motivation for Liara's odd behavior in ME2.  If TIM warns her to stay away from Shepard, it would explain why she breaks off the kiss, why she's so distant, and why she won't go with her on the mission.  If she was doing all of those things just to keep Shepard safe from TIM, it adds a whole new layer of tragedy onto Liara's story.  It would make her (hopefully) epic return to grace in ME3 all the more powerful and satisfying.

But again...... it ain't happening.

Yeah but I can't see how that would help TIM. It would just distract Shepard to not know what's going on and why she's so distant.
Then again...it's not happening like you said, because it could actually make sense (despite what I said one sentense ago)...and we can't have that now, can we?
