And you got the heated debate going with you comments about tali. All I wanted was to know why you liked her. I never said you were wrong. Most of the other people who responded to my honest question understood that when I said that I didn't want to start a flame war and that I didn't want to offend people that I meant it. You insulted my character with baseless comments, I responded.

i never meant for there to be any discussion over who was better and I apologize to all the other Liara fans who took me seriously for clouding up their thread. Thanks to all of the other Liara fans for being open minded and honest.

You ever been around someone who has mental issues? I doubt it, so don't speak when you are ignorant.  I have a mental disorder and I can tell you it sucked to be around me.  I wouldn't want to put anyone else in that position so you can't expect me to put myself in that position.  Don't dismiss something as rubbish when you know nothing about it.  I have had to spend years getting over my problems, why the hell would you think I would willingly go through it all again.  Telling someone that is insensitive because you have no idea what they have gone though.  I also help all my friends with all their problems.  When one of my friends got pregnant at the age of 17, unwed, I was the only friend of hers that was there at her baby shower.  When my friends have issues, I help them because I'm good at it.  But don't expect me torture myself in the name of love.  When someone is constantly complaining about their life and their problems, it gets depressing. As someone who is a suicide risk, depressing is unacceptable.  You honestly expect me to put myself in a position where I may be depressed enough to kill myself?  And don't even start that it is a choice.  You have no experience on the matter.

"Have you ever been around someone who has mental issues?" YES I HAVE. And let me tell you, he fought it, he got over it and he has not let it take over his life. I saw him when he was in his deepest depths of despair. Do you know what I did? I STUCK BY HIM. I WAS WITH HIM UNTIL THE END. I didn't just say "FU, you're not worth it because I don't want to have to go through with this." I stick by the people I love. And he's come through it as a better person, and not let it change him as a person and influence his life and choices, something which you clearly haven't done.

So don't you DARE say I have no experience on the matter, or am ignorant. Don't you f_cking well DARE.

And Tali tells you she appreciates how good you have been to her.  She considers you a friend, which is exactly how close Liara is by the end of ME1 if you don't romance her.  I don't care about the gameplay significance of Liara's actions, what she did is disgusting and creepy. Her motivations tell me how weak she is.  Saying she did it for love is a fallacy.

You know what, this is the same old bullsh!t repeated ad nauseam by the Liara bashers and trolls. It hurts you so much that our character has such a greater plot relevance in the ME trilogy, doesn't it? It eats away at you, you can't stand it that your precious quarian is a corpse for ME3, and our Liara will still be around to help Shepard.

It's alright, I know that Liara did all of that for her love for Shepard, and cares the most. You keep deluding yourself, pal.

Poor attempt at a wind-up, you are.

Ouch, things are getting heated here.

I will say this, I like Tali a lot. The fact that she joins your squad even after the whole Cerberus/quarian thing gives her a lot of points fot me.

She obviously trusts Shepard a lot to work with him while hes under Cerberus.

When is it said that Liara had to defend herself? When is it said?  You tell me that and I might agree with you, as it stands the only time liara ever got in trouble she hid behind a wall.

If you take the time to talk with Liara, she tells you that she would often run afoul of lifeforms or groups of people, and that it was never anything more then her biotics could handle.

Well I have experiences mental issues, I only have to turn on my brain for that ( I have it on paper as well) but you trow the description mentally disturbed around a little to freely when it comes to Liara. I see no prof to the clam, she is somewhat obsessed in her hunt of the shadow broker yes but thats it. About liaras action to find and revive Shep, if it's disturbing or creepy wholly depends on someones interpretation of the whole thing. You find it disgusting and creepy but don't try to force your weaves on every one, people have different opinions deal with it.

Saying she did it for love is a fallacy you say, just your opinion ones again. Story vise thats what is implied even if she isn't your LI and way could it not be the reason for her actions? You are way to cynical for your own good.

The other commenter was talking about how much mental anguish Liara was in.  Now it has since devolved into a discussion/argument about who has the experience to talk.

And the Fallacy comment was me throwing her wording back at her.  She did do it for love, but it isn't something I agree with.  It was more like an obsession than anything else.

@ GuardianAngel470

You're just trolling now. Your arguments failed, so you bring in personal context to the subject. Which is very loosely connected to this matter. Liara isn't suffering from some disorder. No more then anyone that loses a friend or loved one does. If anything, Laira shows herself a true friend, by wanting to see Shepard laid to rest and shown respect.

If you'd leave my body to rot somewhere, then I'm glad we aren't friends and never will be. If you'd abandon your friends, loved one, or family, when they are faced with a troubling time, then I'm doubly glad we aren't.

Take your rants elsewhere please.

@Guardian

I can't believe that someone would think The Beautiful Blue Goddess just sat there and hid or that her love for Shepard is creepy.
Well, some people can't accept there reality that is set in front on them. Liara is NOT creepy, if you didn't romance her, maybe she loves you like family? Usually you would do anything for family, even is Shepard was mean to her during ME1 (I don't know who could be) she probably considers you all she has since her mother died and she is left alone.
"I can't let you go" Applies for both people who romanced her and didn't.

I agree, Liara doesn't have a mental disorder, she is unfortunately confused by her negative emotions at the moment and needs Shepard to help her. A mental disorder means something has to be physically or chemically wrong with your brain (usually both), Liara has neither wrong with hers.

Liara is definitely a beautiful person with a wonderful personality, she doesn't have anything wrong with her, she is just in need of help from Shepard.
When people go through hell, they need help, Liara needs help from Shepard right now.

I don't really know what Tali has to do with Liara anyway, Liara was helping Shepard and the galaxy, Tali was helping her entire race.
You can't properly compare two people who weren't even involved with each other in the first place Guardian.

Wow, that's... kind of extreme. Wouldn't you say?
I have seen people who have had their whole familes raped and butchered in front of them and they don't say those things.
Again, why are you here to complain? If you don't love The Beautiful Blue Goddess. Please leave and go back to where you came from.

Sadly, no.  We've got Redemption 4 is a week or so, then........... who knows?  Did you hear Greg and Ray's comments on the "romance pack" DLC?  They actually like the idea.  Knowing our luck, if it ever gets made, it'll only include ME2 love interests.

How is it possible for spam to GET dull? Its dull to begin with.

Guardian, since youre the imbecile who decided to bring "personal life experience" into a forum, why dont you exercise some of what you claim to have and now kindly go post somewhere else? Your arguments are only slightly less useless than the personal flame war youve single handedly incited.
