That would be so cool to actually meet someone that was a Liara fan.  Most of the people I know IRL don't really play RPGs. :(

Bah, Les and Somebody, your making me want to play ME1 again! Easter weekend coming up, 4 days off. Think I know what to do now (especially if the weather is crap).

Just rescued Liara from Therum. Gah, it really is love at first sight! I love how Liara looked at Kate after she told the krogan that Liara is staying with her. Liara is like "This person is doing all of this to protect me? Wow. So strong, and she sure is beautiful too" It's like she's smitten already.:wub:

During the escape as the mine is collapsing, I love how Shepard holds back to get behind Liara, to make sure that she gets out alive and the ensure she's not hurt. This playthrough really is reminding me how much I love Liara, and why I do. It also makes me realise why ME2 felt so empty and lonely.

But still, here's to another adventure with the BBG!!:wub:

Oh, i know such a situation. Most of my friends here don't even care for videogames.... I just have 2 closer friends with I can talk about games. Also brought both to Mass Effect :happy: (but only 1 romanced Liara ... :unsure:).

And LET, one more awesome picture, juts saved it to HD. ^^

I have a friend in the office next to mine who's an ME fan and romanced Liara in ME1, however he ditched her for Tali in ME2, I had stern words with him. Maybe a should lend him Redemption once it's all been released, to show him the error of his ways.

I tried to convince him to stay true with Liara, but he's stubborn. Next time we're in the pub, I'll try again when he's had a few.

Hehe, I will. I still think Redemption will change his mind. He did seem quite into Liara in ME1, I guess it goes to some how awesomez BioWare's sabotage of the ME1 LIs in ME2 is. Well done!

Yeah, and that you really need to read deeper into Liara's character in ME2 to see that she's suffering badly, and has got into this horrible situation because of her love for Shepard, and what she's done saving Shepard's life. If you read between the lines and analyse her, you'll see that she's still deeply in love with Shepard, just tormented by her guilt and emotional pain.



I'm extremely confident that we'll have the ability to comfort her in the Liara DLC, though. I really want to see Liara happy again, I hate seeing her so sad. :-(

Problem is, many people don't care. As discussed at length, the romances in ME 2 are pretty much put there as a prize. And it seems a great number of players is perfectly happy with that simple concept and don't even want anything more. If your friend is not of this sort, I'm sure he will be able to appreciate a deeper and more interesting character such as Liara.

If they didn't look deeper into Liara's character, and her sacrifices and suffering for Shepard, then it stands to reason that they will be penalised and punished for trashing her in ME3. I want players to feel guilty for betraying and dumping Liara, when it's finally spelt out for them everything she's endured and suffered for them, and the emotional pain that's been eating away at her. If they couldn't be bothered to understand and read into her character and cheated on her, then they should be made to feel the consequences.

Same here, I have one friend out of all of mine that has actually played Mass Effect. Either one. They all play WoW though. I told them to play a real game :happy:

Thanks! I like it a lot better than my old one. The pout picture was cute, but this one is better, and is now 300% more blue!!

It's one of my favourite scenes too, I don't choose the paragonish option, I tell her we're out to save the galaxy no matter what. It's much better that way. :wub::wub::wub:

Not to mention joker does the best renegade interrupt in ME1, twice actually. :pinched:
