I honestly don't like the lighting in Liara's office, doesn't do her justice.

I know! It urns her beautiful deep blue into that powder blue/grey colour! I know it's supposed to be symbolic of Liara's suffering, but it's still pretty sad.

So true! If what I'm hoping for in Liara's DLC does happen, then Liara will visit Shepard's cabin to open up her heart, admit her pain and guilt and reaffirm her love for Shepard. She'll be her beautiful deep blue again, and the romance will be rekindled and Shep and Liara will embrace warmly, vowing to never leave each other's side again.

The fact is, Liara is an information broker now, and it's hard to see her on the team again, as much as I would love it. However, with the galaxy in mortal peril, we'll need everyone we can for ME3.

She danced for my fish and they all died!

That scene didn't sit well with me for some reason. called her up once to see what all the hoopla was about and never done it again, just have her feed my fish

Disagree. One we are able to ease Liara's guilt and emotional torment, and convince her that killing the Shadow Broker isn't going to make her feel better, she's going to join the squad again. Her sole motivation for working as an information broker is to stop the Shadow Broker, once his threat has been ended she will have absolutely no desire or motivation to continue working as an information broker anymore, and will want to go with Shepard, something that she actually says she wants to do in ME2. Liara loves Shepard, and will join up with her again once her personal demons have been laid to rest.

She could continue to be an information broker after the Reapers are delt with, she could set up her hobby in Shepard's cabin, hell, with EDI's help she could do very well.

Maybe, but ME2 showed me that Liara obviously absolutely hates the job of being an information broker, and is only doing it as it's the only way she feels she can track down the Shadow Broker. Her sad and pensive pause when she says "Everything I'm doing, I'm doing of my own free will...for better or for worse" makes her stress and dislike of the job all too evident.
It's sad that she feels it a necessity to do this job she hates, and act like a person she clearly isn't. Liara is very compassionate and considerate, and she obviously hates having to strongarm people.
Can't wait to get her off of Illium, ease her pain and make her happy again and get her back in Shep's cabin!
