Hi again Liara fans, and sorry to bother you again. I've already pestered a few of the other character support thread with this, and I hope you don't mind. There's a vote on Escapist about your favorite game developer - Blizzard is getting dangerously close to BioWare now, and before I go sleep, I would like to post a link to the poll here, in the hopes that a few of you might consider supporting BioWare.

Yeah, that backlighting picture really shows off how INSANELY grey Liara's office is making asari blue look too. My TestShep is all sassy asari blue on the Normandy, and sitting there in Liara's chair she looks nothing like that. That special lighting when you talk to Liara tries to make her seem less slate grey, mostly it just lightens up her face from slate grey to a lighter grey. You can tell just by looking at her when you talk to her, compared to how much darker she is just sitting there when you aren't.

You can play around with several options that affect the lighting, but nothing changes Liara's color back into the nice blue it had in ME 1. Someone extracted her face texture a while ago, and it clearly showed that it's quite grey. So it definitely isn't only the lighting. You could of course edit that texture and make her more blue again, but unlike many other things in the Liara reunion scene, the color at least does make some sort of sense.

PS: I don't think the Liara thread is the best place to ask for support, what's with us having been screwed more by BioWare/EA than any other group, with the exception maybe of the RPG players in general. But why would anyone care about such a poll anyway?

Well, quite a few thousand people actually seem to care, myself included.
Besides, BioWare created Liara in the first place, and she's pretty much confirmed to play a big role in ME3 - I don't think calling it "having been screwed" is 100% justified. I understand your anger though, I'd be pissed if my favorite character had been reduced to a cameo for ME2 as well. But at least it keeps her 100% alive for ME3.
I also asked in the Tali, Kaidan, Miranda and Ashley thread though, I'm that much of a nerd. Either way, thanks for your time and have a nice day/evening!

These were the three asari face textures I found.  First one is the "generic asari NPC" which is a lower res image shared by all asari who aren't Liara, Samara, or Morinth.  The middle one is Liara's and then the third one is Samara/Morinth.  Those textures are then colored by the same values that affect Shepard morph heads, that's really how the game makes everyone.  When I made TestShep asari blue, all I had to do was edit the RGB values on her morph head stuff.
EDIT: For clarity "the morph head stuff" wasn't any actual texture changes, it is just three numbers in the saved game file that tell that game engine what colors to use when drawing Shepard.  So anyone with that saved game and no user mods at all could still run around that color just fine.

We'll see about the result of that. I would gladly vote a thousand times for the BioWare that created ME 1. But little seems to be left of that, and now any vote would be for the BioWare/EA that created ME 2. Just for the record, the anger is absolutely not about reducing a character to a cameo role. It is about totally botching even the small scene she has, and not caring in the least.

Not that this matters in any way. I'm still wondering why anyone outside BioWare/EA would care about such a poll, though that's off-topic.

I don't know, from her assertiveness in snatching up Femshep for the smooch and how she dances, I can see Liara being comfortable with some expressed sensualness when it is between her and Shepard.  She just doesn't seem to be interested in being "on display" for people in general.  In the bedroom though she's like a tigress!
I was actually thinking the other day that it is pretty well established in game that asari don't need bust support.  Maybe it is a consequence of their physiological control or arrangement of chest muscles, but they seem to be able to run around just fine without any.  Unless Samara has hers like stapled to her outfit, she definitely isn't using any.
