Yeah, its unfortunate for the Kaidan and Ashley fans, they dont have much but the content from ME1 to talk about.IndigoWolfe wrote...
We're really lucky. I don't think many people here've realized that. We have stuff to talk about, like the comics and the encounter on Illium (in positive and negative lights, but that's still discussion). While the Ashley and Kaidan fans have one scene, so for the most part they're stuck talking about... well, not much.
Yeah, we're lucky.

Your right, she seems so crude compared to Liara, fun at parties but not family.......
I wouldn't sell the bartender short, she can apply herself. And she's a Matriarch, I'm sure she has experience.

Contrary to what Chris Priestly said<_< though, Liara isnt asexual.Shavon wrote...
I hope you're right, Enfants!
Yeah, Kaidan lovers get his little e-mail >.
Random, in my bio class today, we were covering meiosis and asexual reproduction. Made me think of Liara, lol!

It may make Benezia look bad, but then again, there could be reasons why . . . we don't know the whole story yet, if they ever plan on giving us one
I think we will hear about Liara's father again, Shav. The whole thing seems like a Chekov's Gun to me. You don't have Liara talk about and tell you of something as significant as that, only to have it hanging about in the background unresolved. I think that the revelation of the identity of Liara's father is going to be pretty important storywise.
If it is, then it's another reason why Liara is so vitally important to the story of the trilogy, and why she's probably the second most important character after Shepard.
I agree on Liara's importance to the story, she has a major role in ME1 and the love scene is pretty specialized just for her in the one part, ME1 would have failed big time without her.

Every family has one, and to be honest, with all the crap Liara and Shepard have been through they need the humor.
Besides I don't see Aethyta as a busy-body intruder into their lives.
This.

Plus, ME2 would never have happened if not for Liara. Shepard would have become part of the T-800...I mean the Human-Reaper.
Suffice it to say, Liara's a major character in the ME trilogy. And I love that fact!

Which is arguably more subtantial than Liara's, unfourtunately. It seems like Ashley has twice the amount of conversations as Liara does. She still has plenty of character, you just have to look harder for it. I think this may be because of the fact that her recruitment mission was cut way short. Oohh, what Caleston could have been...

Yeah, I'm not really convinced that asari parthogenesis would actually be asexual. There isn't a form of parthogenesis that matches what they do exactly. Gynogenesis is kind of close with the mechanism for fertilization, except that asari use neural impulses to trigger that rather than fluid contact. Automictic is close with how all the genetic material is from the mother and clone daughters aren't produced, but is inaccurate in that one set is being variated rather than a direct recombination.Shavon wrote...

About the only criteria they might meet for the asexual designation would be if they only release one gamete with both sets of chromosomes. If there are two gametes, one with the variated set and one with the unchanging set that are then fused together I wouldn't consider it asexual at all. We aren't told how many gametes they release though.

I missed the "I-have-given-your-body-to-cerberus"-dialogue option, so when i read Redemption after completing ME 2 i kinda felt really sorry for cheating on Liara with my male Shepard. -.-
Most people missed that part.

It was absurdly easy to miss. If you don't grab it when it comes up, it disappears, but no other options do. It was complete BS. However, I don't want to argue about that when the thread is as positive as it is right now.
