I doubt Miranda can hit someone with a biotic field so strong that whats left of them will fit inside a coffee cup.

Liara would win, asari biotics > human biotics.

In truth, I think it is: Liara's biotics > Everyone else's biotics, lol :D.

Just replaying ME1 again, and don't you just love the scene when Liara comes to comfort and reinvigorate Shepard at his locker after the Normandy gets grounded? I love her lines as she's trying to give Shepard belief again. Damn you Joker for stopping them from kissing!

Miranda indirectly agrees with you when she says her Biotics are strong "for a human". Liara isn't a Matriarch so her abilities are not full grown. She also spent more time on research than on strengthening her biotic prowess.

Yeah I love that scene. Mainly for Liara, but also for the fact it shows that Shep is not invulnerable and that he needs outside help and reassurance. For all that Shep goes through between ME1 and ME2 I always believed he should show some vulnerability.

Samara, no question about it. And she isn't even a Matriarch yet.

Yeah, that is a very nice scene.
I think Joker should be blamed for more than that, he has screwed everything up so far for Shepard and Liara (he inadvertently killed Shepard for crying out loud)! As you said, Damn you Joker!
My Shep has been through a lot (as well as everyone else's Shep, lol) and she wants a long emotional conversation with Liara (and some time in the captain's quarters afterwards), Right Now!!!

One of my favorite scenes, and Liara's facepalm after the interrupted kiss is full of win. ^_^

Is there a video of this somewhere online, I forget all of the dialogue and I'm not in the mood for 20+ hours of gameplay just to get to that scene. :?

Well yes, that is an interesting question. Simply from then fact that Samara is much older and much more experienced than Liara I would say that the Justicar would have the upper hand. But I must say that I think they would have little reason to fight each other, mainly because I'm sure the acts of the SB would be against the Code and I hope that Liara hasn't endangered any innocents in the last two years.

That is always an option, but as it stands... Samara would wipe the galaxy with Liara.

Yes! Exactly what I'm talking about. Well thought out, perfectly executed presentation, makes a memorable scene. And elevates the companions above being mere tools. To make scenes like that takes time, but it is why I hold ME 1 in such high regard. No better example for video games being an own form of art. ME 1 had its generic moments too, but the main story, as short as some people claim it was, radiated so much dedication from the developers. That's just missing for the most part in ME 2.

I agree Liara will eventually be able to pwn everyone in the galaxy if she wanted to.
You have to wonder though, in ME2 Samara only has three biotic skills and in ME1 Liara has six skills.
If Liara is only just over 100 and has three more skills than Samara, how powerful will she be when she reaches Samara'a age?

This is off topic but does anyone else see that Liara was born in 2077? The same year as the Great War in the Fallout series.

Very well said! That scene shows so much IMO, ME2 is lacking a comparable moment and I think it is weaker for it.

Agree 100%.

Looking forward to the rest of Redemption and really hope that BW is working on some spectacular DLC to do something more substantial with the character.

That's a pointless argument. Everyone's skills have been dumbed down in ME2. Shepard had the most skills of all and ends up with 4 or 5.

Seconded. I figured if they cut so much out of the game currently, they have some bigger and better plans.

You do realize I am not arguing?
Why would I even use that in an argument, of course the game was dumbed down.
We are just having some fun, no point in getting aggressive.

I don't want to make it seem like I am terribly disappointed with ME 2. I have enjoyed my replays so far, partly due to the fact the classes are so distinct that it really is a different experience each time. Even so, I feel like much more could have been done with the story so far, but I have faith that Bioware's writers are saving up for something great in ME 3. Baldurs Gate conclusion was no slouch, as a matter of fact for being an Expansion it was one of the greatest games of all time.

I wish more people shared your sentiment. I think the upcoming DLC and ME3 will deliver. Looking at all of BioWare's games I have never been disappointed.

Thats one of my favorite scenes. Its basically the only instance so far that we see Shepard need comforting. Which is one of my biggest issues with ME2. No matter how determined and strong willed Shepard is, being brought back from the dead should have caused him/her to show some form of concern, conflicting emotions, just something.

Shepard spends the entire game helping and comforting others but no one helps Shepard. Yes, some people like that and prefer Shepard not to show weakness. Myself, I want Shepard to show some weakness as it makes the character seem more human and alive, that he/she needs someone to lean on/get comfort from sometimes. Of course my Shepard would only accept it if its from Liara.
