I agree that ME2 itself plays well. Some few things about gameplay that they changed I don't like. The overall story was a bit meh...but when you get into some of the character side stories, they were pretty good. But then we get to Liara, and that's like the thing that pushes me over the edge, so to speak.

Huh, I wonder how the Thane fangirls will react if he's replaced with the loveable but goofy Feron? I'd imagine NSAS would go into meltdown! :D



One thing that I think would be awesome if Liara's DLC is set after the suicide mission is that gives us opportunity to comfort Liara completely, and really help resolve her current character arc and rekindle the romance. Help Liara bury her demons, help her find happiness again in Shepard's arms, and tell her that everything is going to be alright and that she doesn't need to be afraid anymore, and that hunting the SB isn't going to solve anything or make her happy again. That way, there's a possibility that Liara could remain on the Normandy once the mission is complete, and possibly stay in Shep's cabin if she's your LI. Oh how I'd love that! :D

Like Samara does not replace Liara, Feron or Kolyat will never replace Thane. I can't speak for NSAS but, as long as Thane gets a decent ending and wrap-up, having a new drell squadmate would be awesome!

Kolyat looked like a terrible assassin. If you dont shoot the lamp, and then kill Joram, Kolyat is all shocked and horrified. Definitely not a killer.

Kolyat looked like a terrible assassin. If you dont shoot the lamp, and then kill Joram, Kolyat is all shocked and horrified. Definitely not a killer.


I thouth that was weird. "I want to be an assassin.* Target dies *OMG you killed him* :lol:

I'm sure Kolyat is capable in other capacities, though. Not necessarily a killer, since he hasn't had the extensive training Thane has . . .

I think most re-romancing will be held off until ME3. But it would be awesome if they could sneak in some romance dialogue in there!

Edit: @ Baal, yeah, it is very easy to make fun of Kol *cough dat chin *cough*:lol:

Yeah, I see what you're saying Shav, and I agree.

As the only characters that I'm extremely confident will be squadmates in ME3 are Liara and the surviving Alliance soldier, I wonder if alot of the ME2 squad will be replaced by the next possible alternative?

EG Tali > Kal'Reegar, Thane > Feron or Kolyat, Legion > Another geth platform etc

I don't really mind, though. Just as long as I get my Liara back in the squad. :wub:

Maybe they will just be replaced if the died?

I'm pretty curious how many squad members we'll have in ME3. If BW wants to use all former squaddies seems like an utterly huge amount of work to integrate them.  (Besides Ash/Kaidan & Liara, who will be alive for sure).
I'd want Liara, Ash, Jack, Garrus, Tali, Wrex, Miranda, Legion and Samara. At least those are the ones with the most interesting personality (imo).

I don't trust Feron. He seems to be more of a screw up then anything else so far. Why would we want him on the crew?

I think he's screwing up intentionally. If he's working for Cerberus, then Feron would have deliberately missed his shot with the cannon at the end of issue 2, and stopped Liara from confronting Tazzik. TIM wants to find out WHY the Collectors want Shepard's body, as well as recover it. Feron would have been under orders from TIM to allow Tazzik to get away, and hinder Liara whenever possible, as well as assist her.

It's why Liara distrusts him so much.

I'm blinded by the fact that he is a drell, similar to Han Solo, etc.  Forgive me!

I know he's pretty incompetent and a very flat character, but I attribute this to the not so hot quality of the comic in general.  Once we find out who he works for, this will make it or brake it.  I have a shoddy theory that he's been hired by the Alliance, or TIM.  Depending on which, he could be an awesome ally in ME3 or a pleasure to kill.

i'd trust Legion,,Samara, Zaeed and surprise:Jacob my life, not Jack and Thane,Miranda as for the new ones

I rescued her again, yesterday.
Seeing her for the first time in ME1 again is always a comforting feeling. But i have to admit that moment i didn't think of me2 and Liaras futre. In ME1 it's just nice.

You'll completey forget about ME2. When I first saw Liara in ME1, I didn't think about ME2 at all. It just reminded me of why I love her so much, why I think she's so awesome, I admired her beauty, listened to her voice and enjoyed her personality. You'll fall in love with her all over again, and realise why you love her so much.

Honestly, when I first saw Liara again in ME1 I completely forgot about ME2, and just enjoyed and loved the fact that she was by my side again. :wub:

i vowed not to touch ME1 until Liara DLC when ME2 came out and i've seen who Liara became, and i execute thid vow, as seeing Liara in ME1 and ME2 pre DLC would make me only sooo sad, after DLC it will change of course=]

It's sad, the only ME1 squadmate who I think has the same personality in ME2 is good old Wrex.

Bleh, I'm ignoring ME2's existence until the Liara DLC is released. Can't wait to be with the BBG again!:wub:
