Awww, I love that idea of Shepard drifting back into the coma, but whispering "Liara..." just before doing so. Shows what she was thinking of. I also like the idea that as Shepard dies after being spaced, the last thing on her mind is Liara's beautiful face, and hope that she'll be safe and secure.

It's so sad that Liara has to helplessly watch Shepard die from her escape pod. :-(

Don't think Shepard really ever died, teeny tiny spark left to be able to return "the same", ME does

reference "soul" when dealing with the Quarian/Geth, Legion plays back a snipit of the first question

on that order if you ask him about it. So, Shepard didn't totally die

Yeah, there must have still been some activity in the brain. Once a human is braindead, that's it. They're gone, nothing can be salvaged, the mind has ceased to exist. You could keep the body alive artificially, but the person would just be vegetative.



It's one of the things that's simply handwaved away in ME2, Shepard's "death" is treated like it's so trivial. It's so frustrating, and makes the poorer writing in ME2 so apparent.



I do like the idea that Liara may have used some of the credits she was earning working as an information broker to help fund the Lazarus Project. That's actually quite moving, and I'd love her even more if she did that.

Wouldn't it be something if when Liara finely does get Shepard's body she takes a long hard look at it and senses..

Come to think of it, maybe that's another reason why TIM may have manipulated Liara into working for Cerberus, in the role of an information broker? Not only does he get someone hellbent on taking out the Shadow Broker, a rival of his in the information field, but he also gets a source of funding for the Lazarus Project.



If he has manipulated Liara in this way, and her used her love for Shepard against her to use her like a tool, then the guy has some serious pain coming his way. Nobody does that to my Liara!

I know, it's so awful seeing her so sad, guilty, angry, tormented, sorrowful, lonely and stressed out. But I'm extremely confident that we'll be able to comfort and console her in the Liara DLC, and rekindle the romance. It's so frustrating when Liara opens her heart to you in ME2, and you can't really say anything equally intimate back.
