She offered credits yes... but just before Thane drops out of the ceiling she begins to say I can tell you things... and then it stops as Thane kills her.

We may be thinking too much here. I don't think there are any ties between Nassana and Liara, she may have had some information that Shepard was interested it, not necessarily stuff about Liara. At least I hope nothing bad about Liara, lol.

ah yes I remember that bit, might not be anything tbh... I can't really see her having ties to Liara

anyway I was bored cooking dinner so I visited youtube. here's French and German ME1 love scene with liara... thought it was interesting to see things not in english for a change

I was annoyed at Thane for killing someone I was talking to, that is Shepard's prerogative. There's no way to know what she was going to say now though. But she was acting pretty paranoid and in ME1 she lied to you to get you to kill her sister. So given her current position and history, anything she said would definitely be suspect.

I'm sure Liara has a front set up so anything other people know about her would be what she wanted them to think. She can't really run around telling everyone she's an information broker to hunt down the Shadow Broker for trying to sell Shepard to the Collectors.

You're right.  Most of the people in the thread don't like bitter, tense Liara and yet they follow her example.

Thats one of my favorite scenes. Its basically the only instance so far that we see Shepard need comforting. Which is one of my biggest issues with ME2. No matter how determined and strong willed Shepard is, being brought back from the dead should have caused him/her to show some form of concern, conflicting emotions, just something.

Shepard spends the entire game helping and comforting others but no one helps Shepard. Yes, some people like that and prefer Shepard not to show weakness. Myself, I want Shepard to show some weakness as it makes the character seem more human and alive, that he/she needs someone to lean on/get comfort from sometimes. Of course my Shepard would only accept it if its from Liara.

It would be nice if anyone even tried.  (I suppose Kelly does, a very little bit).  All these people Shepard is helping and somehow none of them ask "and how are you?"  Granted, you can't really accept that from most of them, since you're the commander, but some people know Shep well enough you'd think they would.  Just doesn't feel right.

I just may do an opening sequence to a fan fic regarding Liara and Shepard. Just the opening sequence, until the comics are done and we have mor einformation. Perhaps his return to Illum after blowing up the Collector Base. That should be a good place to start.

I belive he killed her becuas she was a "bad" person and he wanted to make the galaxy a little brighter befor he died. Way Nassana killed her own workers, to get them out of the way... but yeah that never made any sense to me either.

Good that im not the only one with this opinion.It was made to give the assasin a cool entrance.Yes,nassana let kill sheaprdt her slaver sister who blackmailed her.Is this evil?She sister definetly get what she deserved.Dantius wasnt evil for me.

I don't usually post in these topics, but here's one for the team Liara.



Like probably everyone, I'm disappointed at her role in ME2. At least it is all but certain she will be in ME3. Rumoured DLC would be excellent even if it's not likely to happen. BW will likely only release Hammerhead and that Kasumi character DLC's, then let the whole concept of DLC die quietly like they did with the first game.
