Umm, without bugs we'd be in big trouble, seriously, very important to our eco system, sure there are some nasty bugs, just like people, animals, birds, fish, not all bugs are though

We would be just fine without them.

Just thinking about them makes me.... *shudders*

The Rachni Queen was my favorite part from ME2...well, almost. It choked me up.

I thought it was a pleasant surprise. It took me entirely off guard and I was stoked to see that it will pay off in ME3.

It was cool to see, sadly though the first time through it is just cruel because of the setup.  You land on Illium, are met by the concierge who says Liara wants to see you, you run into the rachni agent, you run into Gianna, then you meet Liara.  And you're all like "What?".  Then you run around hacking for her and meet Conrad and Shiala.  Then you go back to Liara and it is "What?" all over again.

Also, I could never kill the rachni. They're completely innocent and guilt free IMO, and were manipulated through indoctrination. They are a peaceful race.

Plus, Liara told me to spare them. And I always do what Liara says!

Regarding saving the base, don't forget about what Vigil said about the Reapers in ME1, that they deliberately leave their technology behind so that organics and their civilizations evolve in ways that makes them predictable, and easy to conquer.

Seems like foreshadowing to me. Using the Collector base = using Reaper technology = you act and evolve in ways the Reapers can predict and plan for, in exactly the same way as all galactic races using the Citadel and the mass relays as the centre of their civilizations.

Bingo, sorry guys, that base it toast, no ifs ands or buts, even my one almost pure renegade toasted it, she ain't dumbImage IPB

No, I helped all the other races out, and saved the council.
I just hate those bugs.

I'm not sure where your hatred of the Rachni come from, but it's your Shepard and story. Only time will tell if it really helps or hurts your case. Let the BioWare gods reveal!!

Why does everyone love the rachni?
They treat the thing with such sympathy and love.

I say squash that giant bug! All bugs are trouble, what makes this nasty one any different?
I just hope that saving it doesnt turn out to make some huge dramatic change in ME3.

If ME2 is any indication, it won't.  I doubt that saving the collector base will help any either.

What about Mordins loyalty, do you think telling him to keep Maelon's genophage work will have any impact?

That was the only thing that made me a little sad, the fact that she told me to let them live.:crying:

But Wrex was there, and he had a good point. Plus I hate rachni so....

Of course Wrex said squash the Rachni. Didn't he fight in the Rachni wars? That's total bias. :pinched:

No, he said his ancestors did. He didnt.

But he is right, millions of his ancestors did die to stop them.

Well we could theorize that it might help in convincing the Krogan to join the war against the reapers, but nothing huge

I still think reaper tech is to dangerous to just toy around with it like Cerberus does a lot of that stuff is tainted with indoctrination, while that didnt seem to be the case with base,as far as we know there might be other risks involved.
I also think playing around with husks is a not good idea either not even because Cerberus wiped out an entire colony to test the technology, but employing them as Shocktroops like Miranda suggested,I wonder how Eden Prime would have turned out with Husks protecting the colony, who knows what effect Sovereigns presence could have had on them.

TIM is just a megalomaniac.  And that isn't hyperbole, it is just a fact.  He does suffer from megalomania.  That prologue to the novel Ascension is disturbing to read, even after having played ME2 and thinking he was insane to begin with.  There is absolutely no question after reading that.  He's thinking crazy thoughts to himself in that.

This is a snippet of him thinking to himself how awesome he is.
'They needed Cerberus, and Cerberus couldn’t exist without the Illusive Man. As a man of vision, he understood
this. Without Cerberus, humanity was doomed to an existence of groveling subservience at the feet of alien masters. Still, there were those who would call what he did criminal. Unethical. Amoral. History would vindicate him, but until it did he and his followers were forced to exist in hiding, working toward their goals in secret.'

Doesn't surprise me. I'd imagine Saren is renowned for his ruthlessness, how he has no qualms about killinng innocent civilians in order to ensure the success of the mission.

Such an attitude probably horrifies a compassionate, caring person like Liara, hence her calling him a "Turian bastard". Saren's actions probably absolutely sicken Liara.

No, just don't ask about her mother, Ash will comment before you release her from the bubble about her possibly being in league with them.

I actually found a different comment from her never seen before.

Not quite.

Lili just "express" her fellings toward Saren in reaction of one of the squaddie comments about Benezia "alliance" whit Saren.
