I wonder how Liara would have view humanity bursting onto the scene like that. I'm sure at the timeof the First Contact War, she would have heard the news on the extranet, about this aggressive and innovative new race. She says herself in ME1 that she finds humans fascinating, and also admires how humans try to accomplish so much so quickly, but also a little intimidating too. I'd be very interested in finding out Liara's initial reaction to humanity making first contact.

Yeah, Revelations is the book that covers that in the beginning. Then it jumps ahead about 10 years, to about 20 years before ME1. The only people that consider it a war is humanity, only 600some people died.Somebody1003 wrote...
What did the council say about the war with humanity?LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
They weren't trying to wipe out humanity, just launch a full scale invasion to occupy humanity's colonies and possibly Earth, in order to bring what they saw as a potentially threatening race under control.
And what book is this all in Revelation?
The wiki page actually provides a pretty good summary of what happens. http://masseffect.wi...rst_Contact_War

Yep, humanity would have ended up like the volus if we were lucky. An important and valued subject race, but still a subject race. Or depending on how the seige on Earth went, humanity could be like the drell, a subject race of a second tier race.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
True, JP. Think of the occupations of Germany and Japan by the Allies at the end of World War II. They weren't trying to wipe them out, just nuetralise the threat, and help rebuild the country to ensure peaceful coexistence in the future.

Asari, salarians, and turians are the Council races for the same reasons that even in ME1 everyone recognizes that humanity is going to be one too someday. The other races just don't have the right combination of cooperation and aggressiveness. The volus, elcor, and hanar aren't on the Council because they just moan a bit, then do what they're told. The batarians and krogans got kicked out because they can't play nice. Humanity can cooperate, but they also don't take crap.
I always wanted to ask Liara what she thought of the humans on Therum. Therum is a human mining colony and she must have had some exposure to them while exploring those ruins. Stuff like that must have been a victim of Therum being downsized.

Problem is, with alot of us here, is that we'd spend so much time hugging and kissing Liara that we'd never make any progress in the mission!

I'd be happy with the cuddling options the ME2 romances already get. Imagine walking into your quarters, and seeing Liara lounging on the couch? I'd die of happiness.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
Oh yes, that's a great idea JP, I'd love that! I'd constantly have a desire to hug and smooch Liara, in all her sassy blue sexiness.

I wouldn't exactly categorize hugging and smooching Liara at will as a problemLesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

It'd be hilarious if they did put that in though and had your third squadmember go into some different animations as well. Like looking off in another direction, scuffling the ground, and whistling or something while you and Liara were busy.
I miss stuff like that while out on missions, the comments that is, since we don't have On Demand Smoochability as a feature yet. It even felt like Shepard was alone a lot of time in ME2 while out on a mission or running around a hub.

Liara's cover is still the sexiest!
ratz, I'd absolutely love to have the ability to cuddle Liara on the bed too! Imagine Liara greeting Shep whenever you retire to the cabin. Yes please!
JP I agree with you that running around on the hub worlds in ME2 felt very lonely. Then again, most of ME2 was very lonely and hollow for me without Liara at my side. Can't wait to get her back in the squad!

Am I the only one who find the cuddling animations weird in ME2? If you do get the chance to cuddle Liara in dlc, I hope she gets her own animations. I mean, she got different ones from Ash/Kaidan in ME1 lovescene.

I don't think they ever said that they're definitely making one. Liara's a large dangling plot point, and everyone is hoping they do something with her before ME3.Fiannawolf wrote...
You know, I wants more DLC, now, yes now. Its driving me nuts that we dont have any clue to as how long the Liara DLC will be. Mayhap it will be DAO Awakenings length?
I saw some EA roadmaps a while ago (can't find link now) that put a large ME2 related release around November some time, which will probably be in the same class as Awakenings.

November? I thought it was around this time next year. I hope its November, in which case we are not TERRIBLY far off from it...
