I think if we are getting some huge DA material in early 2011 I do not see why we won't get a huge ME XP in late 2010/early 2011.

I can only hope that it involves a True Blue mission and reconciliation after.

We will probably see both within a few months of each other.  Both are scheduled for early 2011, so I assume by this time next year we will have already played or soon will be playing the ME 2 expansion.

Just stopping in to say hey and show support for Liara. I've been pretty preoccupied of late and haven't had time to keep up. Its hard to believe the final issue of Redemption is out tomorrow. It would be great to see some Liara DLC advertised in it somewhere (*crosses fingers*). I'll definitely be checking in to see if that happens, since I won't have access to the comic right away.

Damn you, BioWare! Let's get some quality, story-driven dlc out there already.

Ah, good to see you Yeled. I was wondering where you'd gotten to, we can't lose a Liara fan!

Regarding Redemption #4 being released tomorrow, it seems to have come around so quickly, hasn't it? Seems only a short while ago I was saying that there's 5 long weeks to go. Can't wait, hopefully we get some more insight into Liara!!

Yep, I'm hoping we hear something soon as well. Liara related content, more Hammerhead missions, and the probable alternate outfitting of your squad are the only things I can think of offhand that have been hinted at in some way. And only one of those actually requires any appreciable effort to make. Well and the romance pack, but the voice assets for that seem enormous and would probably be done at the same time as any expansion.

Although the Hammerhead stuff definitely needs some oversight, there is no excuse for 250 and 100 credit containers being in a mission. But I suppose neither Mass Effect game had any sort of economy that made one iota of sense.

I know! It's a lovely picture of Liara. Gorgeous, in fact.

It's so rare to see her smiling in ME2. She's carrying such a burden of sorrow, guilt and pain.:crying:

Don't worry, Liara! We'll be there to comfort you and make you happy again soon!

Wow, that Liara picture makes her seem as happy as she was in ME1.:wub:<3<3:wub::wub:
She will be that happy again once Shepard can comfort her in DLC, I can't wait!:wub:<3<3:wub::wub:

Regarding the voice acting question for Liara's DLC, if indeed Liara's content was developed concurrently with the rest of the game, then any VA recorded for it wouldn't have been that great a task.

You 100% need Mark, Jennifer and Ali, and they would have been there anyway to record their lines for ME2, plus the possibility of voice actors for the Shadow Broker (if he's conversed with at any point) and Feron (if he is found alive). You're not going to need as many vocal assets for Liara's DLC as you would for a potential romance pack, as there aren't as many characters involved and the voice actors would have been present to record their lines for ME2 anyway.

Yeah, I meant the whole thing with that Romance Pack DLC that people were talking about. With all the possible love interests involved it would require a lot of voice acting. So if it were to be done for ME2, then it just seems practical that they'd do it alongside recording the lines for a major expansion rather than call in all those people just for that.

If I were completely cynical though, I'd instead imagine Bioware saying something like, "A Romance Pack DLC? That's a great idea, why don't we CUT all the romances out of ME3 and then sell them off individually after release!"

Don't give them ideas! :P

Luckily, none of us are that cynical though. I don't think BW would ever sttop to such a greedy, money-grabbing level.

If Liara's ME3 romance content were a paid downloadable add-on I would FREAK!

Well I'm sure you could accurately replicated Meer's acting with a computer voice synthesizer, but Hale is working on The Old Republic with BioWare and I'd recken they're also starting on ME3, so I'm sure they'd be around to record lines for DLC.

If they are working on an expansion for release early next year, I am sure they will be recording soon.

Yep, so a very likely possibility is that Liara's DLC is where we'll help comfort her, rekindle the romance and perhaps help her out on a mission, then the bridging expansion is where we'll help resolve Liara's problems completely, and she'll be free to join the Normandy again and be at Shep's side, ready to be a squadmate in ME3.

That is a beautiful pic of Liara, Marcin. I love her smile!

No sign of the Kasumi DLC yet. It should be available soon though, as they've just released the achievements on Xbox Live.

I eagerly await the day when the action wheel comes up in an RPG and it says,

  • Hug... (20 Microsoft Points),
  • Hug + Bum Grope... (40 Microsoft Points)
  • Hug + Kiss (80 Microsoft Points)
  • Hug, Kiss + Tongue Grope (120 Microsoft Points)

Why stop there? Why not have future ME romances actually tell you in-game that it takes 50 Microsoft points to reach first base?

"Sorry, Commander. But kissing me requires 50 Microsoft points. We're transferring you to XBL marketplace right now."

I'd still probably pay that for Liara though.

Liara is waiting for the Kasumi DLC too. She's just checked the extranet on her computer, and there's still no sign of it. Liara is not amused!

No problem! It's 9:18PM here in England at the moment, so I may still get to play it as there's a few hours before I go to bed.

Imagine if the Liara DLC was delayed like this? I think we'd all go insane!
