Gwarsh it sounds like they totally rewrote and jacked up Liara's story at the last minute.

I have never really criticized the writing of this game, usually always excusing it knowing how difficult it is to get a good story.

In this case, no excuses. This really sucked bad. There were so many opportunities to make this meaningful, complex, but man, cmon!

Honestly, comics aren't about that sort of thing.

I really don't know what to say...to say I'm bitterly disappointed would be an understatement. What the hell was the point of the comics if they revealed nothing more than what Liara told us in-game? Finally time for an unfaithful playthrough methinks... though Liara will probably be so far gone in ME3 as to not give a toss anyway

This is going to fuel a mass exodus from the loyalty camp, for Male Sheps in particular. Even for Fem Sheps, Garrus isnt looking to bad these days..

And like that was really needed.  After the failure of ME2 Liara already had the smallest camp and was shrinking.  Talk about kicking someone when they are down.

I suppose that was the point though.  /shrug

Getting Aethyta as bartender in ME3 would be so awesome... I'm still depressed enough that that thought doesn't make me overexcited. You know what they say about that light at the end of the tunnel. It's just a freight train headed your way!!

They shouldn't have tried to paint the comics as shocking and filling in the blanks.  Basically everything we learned in the two second conversation with Liara was shown in the comics with the added "wow this blows" factor.

Ah Mac, what a let down. What the hell was the point of doing the comic and totally screwing Liara's character in ME2? No DLC hints, no deal with Cerberus, why does she suddenly feel so much loyalty to Feron?! Bah, I'm annoyed now.

Well Noz, welcome back. Too bad it had to be on such crappy terms...

Yeah our little camp is going to dwindle...

I agree. Everyone has the right to feel cheated.

I just popped back in cause I knew the last comic was coming out.  Gonna **** a little then disappear for good I think.  BW clearly has no plans to do anything worthwhile with Liara at this point.  I see no reason to wait on DLC or ME3 anymore.

I just have a massive contradiction with what's shown in game and comic.

In ME2, Liara is obviously still deeply in love with Shepard, hunting the SB down due to what he's done with Shep's body, and cares enough about Shep that she's afraid Shep will hate her. Deep feelings are still there.

In the comic...

Honestly I couldnt care less about the "CRAZY" effects of cheating anymore in ME 3. They did a bad job with Ashley (who at least sends you a letter and seems sad) and Liara was even worse.

Hell, I felt sort of bad for cheating on Ashley and I am sure Kaiden people felt the same. With Liara its like I am just looking at a stranger. Shiala, where are you?!

Has to be someway to really tell BW that this isn't acceptable, it isn't giving loyal players any hope, just a anvil being dropped on our head, makes me wonder how big of a hammer they will do to any other LI loyalist

Well, I'm flirting with Kelly and Samara now, on my save I end up importing to ME3. I don't mind Shiala flirting with Shepard now either. Unless they change everything again, in a DLC.

How can they totally screw us and Liara over. This could of been so deep, and they make it seem like Liara falls for some two-bit loser like Feron, over what, anything you could of hired some random merc to do.

Yes, Liara cared for Shepard to go thru all this, but the last two years, wasn't about Shepard at all, it was about Feron...Shepard shows up and is back in Liara's life, and she doesn't care.

We should send out some warnings to Ash/Kaidan fans to be wary.

Let me say this on the contributory aspects of Liara statements in the comic and the game.

As a reader of comics for over 30 years, I can tell you that the writers of comics today see continuity more as a stumbling block that has to be removed rather than a path that should be explored.

Well we know there is an expansion this time next year. Probably more DLC in summer as well, so hopefully they clean this up.

I am not totally hopeless. A good writer can fix a lot of things and I KNOW BIoware has good writers.

Somebody call David Gaider or something man, fix this up good!

So long as they don't announce plans to do a comic series based on the Virmire survivor, written by Mac Walters, I think they are at least safe to maintain the status quo for now.

Pretty much the way I feel as well at the moment. I can't see BW making anything I would enjoy as it stands now, at least when it comes to the ME universe.
