She lies to your face.

You can't spell 'Liara' without 'Liar'!

I don't think I'm gonna buy ME3 now.

They need to do a hell of a repair job on ME2 and there reputation before I'm doing it. Unfortunately they have shown how ****ing lazy and incompetent they are so I'm out of luck I fear.

I don't think she's in love with him. She appreciates his sacrifice, and feels it's her duty to save him.

She pulls away from the kiss because she's afraid Shep hates her.

Stop knee jerking everyone. I have.

Well, the world moves on in two years I guess. That's a tough thing for Shepard to swallow.

I think in ME 3 we will see almost a "re-romance" option for our ME 1 LI's. A getting to know them again sort of thing. The motivation to actually DO That is lacking when you have Jack, Miranda, and Tali of all people waiting.

I still think there's no feelings for Feron there, that the last few pages were just badly mis-scripted...

Nah, there's no romantic feelings for Feron.  It's just sh_tty writing.  There's no motivation for any of this.  Since we're all fans of the Shepard/Liara romance, we're trying to find a pattern to Liara's behavior, and we're jumping to the conclusion that it must be love.  But it isn't.  It's just bad, bad, BAD writing.

So that's it, huh? "Unimpressive" would be the correct term, I think. Like I would have expected of course.

Guess it's time for me to be the voice of optimism for once, though? Don't forget that someone from BioWare explicitly stated that you would be able to continue the romance in ME 3. Of course he said the same about ME 2, and we all know how that turned out. Still, as little as we may get, I don't believe (yet) that they plan to completely switch the romance off.

As I've said repeatedly, IF there's any romantic content for Liara in ME 3, it will be available even for new players. So even IF Liara cares for this Feron, it might just be a plot device to let all players win over her heart (again). Would still be a very disappointing development for us, but better than nothing.

Duty?  Wouldn't it be her duty to help Shepard save all sentient life in the galaxy?  If the Reapers pwn all there won't be a Feron to save.

I'm sure she appreciated Shepard's sacrifice in fighting the Reapers as well but look at where she currently is with that....ignoring Shepard.

I would be really disappointed if, after today, I start to see Liara banners disappearing from peoples' sigs.

Me too.

I feel like the characters in the old Warner Bros. cartoons when they unwittingly light a match in a dark room in order to see, only to find that the room is packed with gunpowder and dynamite

What hath I wrought?

York, you did nothing that wouldn't happen anyway, just the match was lit sooner

People, stop knee jerking. There is no feelings for Feron. She appreciates his sacrifice, that's all.

They didn't have her stating her full motivation at the end of the comic. There's no way it's Feron alone.

ME2 makes it clear she still loves Shepard, with her guilt over handing her lover's corpse over to the enemy.

IT'S JUST BAD WRITING PEOPLE. DO NOT BLAME LIARA, SHE HASN'T MOVED ON AT ALL

Yeah, I get the feeling to cater to new players we are basically starting over with Liara in ME 3. Sort of how Wrex and others died on purpose if you started a new game as not to "confuse" people.

Kind of lame, and it means there will be MORE continuity with Tali/Garrus/Jack/Miranda/Jacob/etc etc than the ME 1 characters for many people...

That won't happened in my case but from now i declare Drells as my lvl 3 enemys (lvl 1 are reapers, lvl 2 is TiM whit his Cerberus and his gay lover Mac Walters) so Mr Crios can forget my help for his son...

Hey, I like Thane! He's one of the good guys...he stood with Shepard in the face of death itself.

Yeah, we are going waaaaaaaay too overboard with this, it is a comic book that is 20 pages long, not a 500 page book or an entire video game.
BioWare probably meant something else with Liara not wanting revive Shepard, but it is just in the way they phrased it, it sounded strange.

I am not all that worried about it, I am still confident BioWare is planning a substantial Liara DLC.

Because the threat to the galaxy isn't as obvious at the moment?

In ME1, the Reaper's return is imminent. In ME2, they're stuck in dark space, and there doesn't seem to be an imminent threat.

I don't think she's in love with Feron. She said she had a debt to repay to a friend. Not she moved on. If she's having second thoughts about Shep, it's not with anyone else for the time being.

Maybe it's hard to kiss someone after you already saw them dead......kissing a corpse....eek

ME 3 will probably be a pretty frenetic pace to save the Galaxy. I imagine the Shadow Broker DLC (lets call it what it really is) will be interesting, but I am not sure how it will advance the romance if its just a DLC.

Liara right now seems like a stranger as she basically acts the same with you even if you are not a romance. Its like they are keeping her options open so they can do whatever with her, which means they see her as a big character, but its lame for those who were loyal to her.

Ashley fans, like I said, at least got some hard acknowledgement of something more there. Even if she was pissed at you...

notice how we always try to look forward to things in the hopes of more substantial Liara content? First ME2, that went to sh!t so we focused on the comic, which...well...anyway, and now DLC...I'm losing all hope, and fast

Well, lets wait until at least E3...

First they strip Leliana from my Warden...
Then they turn Liara into a placeholder NPC...

What's next?  They are going to drop Tali into a vat of lava????  Kill Shale, my favorite Golem???
