I hope you aren't seriously bashing the character we all love, which is the true Liara. Everything that has happened is not "her", it's bad and lazy writing from BioWare/EA.

Yeah, this is the only thing that makes any kind of sense to me.  All three love interests from ME1 get "reset" so they can be re-romanced in ME3.  Liara's reset was just way more elaborate than Ash and Kaidan's.  They knew they could squeeze more money out of us, so instead of an angry confrontation and an e-mail, we get a head-scratcher of a reunion, and a cash-grab comicbook.

I can't see how that is going to make the romance deeper in ME 3 then.  Maybe you'll get one extra line or so, but if they are trying to make the experience as consistent as possible, they will probably lean more heavily on ME 2 decisions.  Maybe a few nasty words are exchanged with an ME 2 romance, but after the ME 2 characters stood with Shepard against certain death...what incentive is there to be loyal?

Well, I am going to use the Thunderdome strategy to decide who is my romance in ME 3. Whoever wins the romance conflict that is nearly inevitable gets to keep Shepard, lol.

I will be interested to see what the reward is. I can't imagine they are going to deny ME 2 only players a good ending if they want to try their hands at Liara/Ashley/Kaiden. I hope its more than a few lines where Shepard uses a quote from Titanic "Never let go..." *cue music*

God... why i think that Canadian Bioware (wanabe Mass Effect thingy) and Texas Bioware (SW ToR) are two different game companies...

I haven't played DA:O fully yet. I'm working on it. This Leliana sounds like a parallel. It's like it's the new BioWare thing to do or something.

Well, Gaider gave at least a semi-decent reason for Leliana and other romances not being in Awakening.  My fear is that we will never see the old characters again if in the sequel they start a new Warden's story...but that is a different thing altogether.  I honestly trust the DA:O team as they have the spirit of Baldurs Gate...

There is no romance with Feron. Just calm the fcuk down.

We're not talking about a romance with Feron so much as some rather shoddy decisions, it seems.

Part of me still sees ways they can write themselves out of this hole, but it depends on if they do that or not or if this is merely just a way to "even the playing field" for ME 2 players.

With that said, the comic did little alleviate the back-of-mind concern that there COULD be a Feron thing in the future.
