Yeah, I get the feeling to cater to new players we are basically starting over with Liara in ME 3. Sort of how Wrex and others died on purpose if you started a new game as not to "confuse" people.
Yeah, this is the only thing that makes any kind of sense to me. All three love interests from ME1 get "reset" so they can be re-romanced in ME3. Liara's reset was just way more elaborate than Ash and Kaidan's. They knew they could squeeze more money out of us, so instead of an angry confrontation and an e-mail, we get a head-scratcher of a reunion, and a cash-grab comicbook.

I can't see how that is going to make the romance deeper in ME 3 then. Maybe you'll get one extra line or so, but if they are trying to make the experience as consistent as possible, they will probably lean more heavily on ME 2 decisions. Maybe a few nasty words are exchanged with an ME 2 romance, but after the ME 2 characters stood with Shepard against certain death...what incentive is there to be loyal?

My hope for anything that can save ME2 and Liara is stone dead. I hope Macs computer explodes in his face.

Yeah, I find it odd that they decided to tell us "you will be rewarded for staying faithful", and then hitting the reset button afterwards. It's messed up.

Well, lets wait until at least E3...
First they strip Leliana from my Warden...
Then they turn Liara into a placeholder NPC...
What's next? They are going to drop Tali into a vat of lava???? Kill Shale, my favorite Golem???
Must... stay... optimistic... doesn't... work....
Well, my Shep misses his Liara and my Warden misses his Leliana. Damn.
I want Leliana and Liara DLC. NOW.
Edit: Can someone post a happy Liara pic, please? Need it. ^^

I haven't played DA:O fully yet. I'm working on it. This Leliana sounds like a parallel. It's like it's the new BioWare thing to do or something.

Let's wait and see if there will be any reactions from Canadian Bioware office and can someone send a mail to Drew and ask him for intervention????
God... why i think that Canadian Bioware (wanabe Mass Effect thingy) and Texas Bioware (SW ToR) are two different game companies...
EDIT: I think this song fits perfect to our current situation.

Well, Gaider gave at least a semi-decent reason for Leliana and other romances not being in Awakening. My fear is that we will never see the old characters again if in the sequel they start a new Warden's story...but that is a different thing altogether. I honestly trust the DA:O team as they have the spirit of Baldurs Gate...

The happy pic is a lie. This is no more happy right now.
It was a request. Sorry to offend.
You know, I never thought I'd see the day this thread wasn't happy with a pic of Liara. This is a sad day indeed.

We're not talking about a romance with Feron so much as some rather shoddy decisions, it seems.
Part of me still sees ways they can write themselves out of this hole, but it depends on if they do that or not or if this is merely just a way to "even the playing field" for ME 2 players.
With that said, the comic did little alleviate the back-of-mind concern that there COULD be a Feron thing in the future.
