Feron's "sacrifice" wasn't nearly as sad as Gandalf's "Run...you fools!" Now thats a sacrifice...
It's hard to beat the epicness that is LotR. In any shape or form

I think the thread has calmed down with the sobering though we probably won't hear about Liara until at least ME 3 so we can at least hope for some glorious reunion...that is if we CHOOSE to embrace her by then.

No! The penalty for saying so is death by snu-snu.

who says whether Feron is actually still alive though?...2 years have passed, why would the SB hold him? All shall be revealed in the DLC I guess

Don't forget that even IF Liara had developed any feelings for this Feron, it would have been while she still thought Shepard was dead. In fact, that would be a viable plot element for the "rocky" relationship they promised. Of course in the end, she recognizes Shepard was always the one and only (if the player wants it to be). There's only the "slight" problem that nothing of it actually happens in ME 2. But it might yet happen in a DLC or expansion. I'm not saying that it will, my own opinion on that matter is clear, but everything is still at least possible.

Ya'll are just flattering me. I hope you do enjoy what I write. Someone has to....
With that said, I plan to incorporate this turn of events in my own current creation. I already have a very good way to do it...just have to get past ME 1 events first...
You're absoltely right. Their motivation was keeping her on Illium. Why they couldn't come up with something better than this is beyond me.Driveninhifi wrote...
Really, all her actions feel like they were driven by the designers keeping her on Illium than by the actual character and that's very unfortunate.

Bioware isn't this bad. They just aren't. WTF happened?

Whelp, the comic really wasn't good. They took 4 issues to explain something that would have been done in one and not lost anything. Not to mention it's pretty obvious the scripter hadn't played ME1 and half of what she says in ME2 isn't consistent with the comic.
Plus it's been two years, Feron is totally dead.
