Was it ever inferred the SB actually knew the Reapers were involved at all?  Everyone knows about the Collectors and that they love strange artifacts, but no one really knows what they do with them.  I remember an earlier comic summary mentioned that the SB challenged Liara as to why she was so worried as what could the Collectors really do with Shepard's body...

It's not that great of a cognitive leap that the amoral, greedy, materialistic and nanipulative bastard that the SB is could have been lying. ;-)

Come on. The SB is known as a godlike entity in the information field. He knows everything, enough to topple governments as is said in ME1. It'd be extremely convenient if he had no knowledge of the Reapers, and the fact that the Collectors work for them. If TIM, a rival of his in the information field, knows of the Reaper's existence then surely the Shadow Broker must know too.

Otherwise, if he doesn't know about the Reapers, then maybe the SB isn't this all knowing information dealing entity that we all thought he was.

The Base BETTER yield something as it was posed as the most significant decision in the game!  I better get some unholy reaper powers for Shepard or something...

Well in theory it should yield something, but I highly doubt it,for all I know as careless as Cerberus toys around with reaper tech they might as well shoot themselves in the foot with it,even the next novell already smells like failed Supersoldier Experiment#1234435

I actually think one way Bioware can "restart" ME 3 for your character would be for them to get Reaper implant surgery.  Im putting it down now! Thats my guess.

@ screwoffreg I can see TIM collecting Turians, Salarains, Volus, Battarians, Vorcha, Asari, etc to build his own fleet of Reapers, because that is what it takes to make one, living sensient beings

I'd never save the Collector Base.

People need to think back to what Vigil said on Ilos, that the Reapers deliberately leave their technology behind so that organics and their civilisations can evolve and grow in predictable ways, making each harvest and genodice easier. Seems like a massive dose of foreshadowing to me.

Plus, I hate TIMs motives and intent with the base. He wants to use the technology to elevate humanity as the dominant species in the galaxy. He's a meglomaniac, a Hitler wannabe. Him and his base can go suck it.

Humanity is pretty much on its way to being dominant anyway, and I can't see him rebuilding a Reaper as that would take MILLIONS of samples and I doubt Cerberus has the fleet for that.

I can't justify destroying a weapon as potent as the Base.  Like I said, even my Paragon Shepards had a hard time with it. I did destroy it ONCE, but most other games saved it.

I will be interested to see how the Galaxy reacts to my "Darth Shepard" decision.  I guess its tantamount to saving the Death Star for Emperor Palpatine.

Even the SB cannot look behind the Omega4 relay, despite all his agents,so I highly doubt he knows a connection between reapers and collectors,he might know the truth about Saren and Sovereign but you cannot expect him to make a connection to the Collectors.
As for the Collectors they are a myth to most people and beyond that they are enigmatic,no one knows what they do with the things they want, all that is known they have strange tastes and theyre paying good for it

Good luck with all that! -TIM

Seriously though your relationship with Cerberus isn't over even if you destroy the Base.  Reaper implants are a big part of the next ME book and I can see how that might be a way to destroy them...by becoming part of their "collective"

Good evening everyone!

I just read Redemption 4 and I must say that it does not give ANY new information at all. I also do not understand why some people were so outraged.

That's the reason there, it doesn't say squat, so what is the purpose?

I have been lame about finishing my current one.  I will get around to it and I am integrating what Bioware should have done in my opinion...a valid foreshadowing of what happens to Liara and SHepard's relationship.

It's gonna be rough though.  They didn't give me a lot of happy material to work with Image IPB

You may be right, although I thought Paul Grayson would be the first (the character in the new book).  You don't hire Martin SHeen to do such a great character as TIM and then NOT use him in ME 3.  He will be back, that is for SURE.

Frustration, jealousy, paranoia, possesiveness and completely misinterpreting alot of lines taken out of context is why. I've seen alot of the pages that people were getting their panties in a twist over, and it really is a storm in a teacup. They just need to calm down and think, and not jump to such ridiculous conclusions and make assertions with no basis in fact.

I dunno, the whole series is just Liara killing people on different locations. It is what Liara already told us on Illium but with more detail. First I was afraid that maybe the romance is over or something, some were writing that Liara moved along but there are no implications at all.

Yes they were indeed jumping to conclusions. I don't get why somebody should think that there is someething between Liara and Feron.:?
