Because that's how you played it? I played a Male Shep all but one time through and think exactly the opposite. It all depends on personal preference and experience within the game.screwoffreg wrote...
Fem Shep just seems more of a fit for Liara...I don't know why...
Perhaps, but I'd be interested to see Bioware' stats on such things (we never will). From my anecdotal experience I've seen a large amount of Fem-Shep/Liara romances, though that may be because no one liked Kaiden
Didn't you hear Casey Hudson? Fem-Shep+Liara is NOT a lesbian relationship.

And then they stayed loyal in ME 2 because they ran out of options in ME 2.

I think part of it is seen as Liara being attracted to someone more like her who, while having feminine characteristics, is also a very strong-willed and good example of leadership (like Elizabeth I).
For me, part of it is being raised around women my whole life and seeing how weak men can be
In that sense I have a harder time fitting my view into a lead male character. Lead females also have a strong history in Sci-Fi...look at James Cameron who ALWAYS has a strong female in the lead of his films.

Eh, I was just a little angry at those people who said the stuff that you mentioned before. That Liara got over Shepard and that she has something with Feron and so on. You of course are right when you say that there was nothin new in Redemption 4.

Males get alot of the fun in ME 2 anyway. Everyone flirts with them, they are on the front of all marketing material, no one ever mentions Jane Shepard...
So I guess Liara being mostly a Fem Shep thing is the little treat that those who like Jennifer Hale's voice get.
Yeah! Damn males getting all the fun

Someone has to give Fem-Shep love. I am sure the vast majority of players are male shepards, more than that probably even the DEFAULT male Shepard...ghastly!!!

Could Liara be likened to Sarah Connor somewhat? Look at the difference between Sarah in T1 and T2, then look at Liara. Both went through incredibly traumatic events, both have suffered a great deal.
Dunno. Just throwing it out there.

Yeah screw I'm in the exact same boat. Raised by women and I have little respect for most men I meet. They're all so damned, what's the word I'm looking for. Can't really think of it. Either way, I have a hard time relating to the average guy.

Exactly, I see Shepard as Sarah Connor and Liara using that example to follow. Remember Liara in human years is probably like 18 or 19...

A lot of Youtube videos either have default Male Shepard or just absolutely ugly Shepards in general. It seems some people have little patience for sliders...
I have my share of Male Sheps, actually MORE than Fem Sheps in ME 2. My main character will always be good old Victoria Shepard, who was my FIRST ME playthrough. The sad part is she is stuck right before the Jack/Miranda confrontation as I didn;t have enough Paragon points and I am probably going to have to cheat to avoid disloyalty....made the mistake of doing the mission too early...
