I think omitting Liara from Mass Effect 2 was a very poor decision on several levels.
Mostly because she was a very intergral part of the progression of the story of the prothians, and with the discovery of the fact that the prothians are the basis for the collectors it would seem like she may have some insight or intrest in this revelation.  furthermore, there is a side mission on a planet (i forgot the name) on which you find a prothian pirimid thing that beams more images into your brain, again seems like a liara thing.

That annoyed me too. When I found out that the Collectors were once Protheans the first thing I thought was "Wow, Liara would really want to know this! Wish she was here..." Same with the vision from the Prothean artifact.

I really did miss her in ME2...

Can't wait for the DLC!

I felt that Bioware really screwed up with Liara

They still got time to make it "right", imo they did spend a lot of time making Liara very interesting and important to the plot in ME1 so I *refuse to believe she won't have a big role to play in ME3.

I just went to Ilos and had our favorite scene played for me. It was so nice and then I remembered ME2 and got depressed.I don't think they can satisfy the players that are still with there ME1 LI's without DLC or expansion, it would be to much to do to fit in ME3 I think. I rely hope they do something but I'm worried they don't rely care or think it's important enough to spend time and money on.

So I just kind of outed myself to my cousin. He asked me who I romanced in Mass Effect 1 and didn't want to lie so I said Liara. haha...He took it well. I'm a girl btw.

I just realized why I couldn't import my femshep from ME1. I wasn't playing it on Xbox live with my OG screen name so I can't import it..waaahhhh. Oh well, I get to play ME1 all over again. Maybe this time I'll give my Shep a better hair-do. Now I have to play all the way through Me 1 to the end of ME2....Fun fun fun. As soon as I pick up Liara I generally use Liara and Tali so I have a Biotic and a Tech as I'm always a soldier. I think it's a perfect team.

Anyway, does anyone have any links to good Liara sig size pics? Thanks if you do....

The Liara/Tali combo is a killer when you play soldier, I use it every time. There is no situation you can't handle with those two with you :)

Considering I stayed loyal to her I certainly hope that bioware let us recruit her. Much more interesting than Tali or someone.

I always take them with me. Doesn't matter which class I choose to play , they always tear stuff up.
You can't have to much tech or biotics :).

yeh if anyone from either ME1 or ME2 has a solid chance of making it into ME3 its definetly Liara.

1. Shes the only squad member from both the 1st and 2nd game combined that cannot possibly be killed.

2. Her back story with the shadow broker and her comic will make for an excellent reason for her to join Shepard in ME3. We can even guess that with the destruction/cleansing of the collector base Shepard may be fishing for information and it just so happens that the shadow broker seems to have made contact with the enemy and possibly possess alot of information that could be useful.

3. We have all heard that there would be consequences for anyone who cheated on their Li , that threat wouldnt hold much behind it if you didnt actually have that person with you lol.

4. Lets bring blue and sexy back !

Anyone else sad that the Tali thread is already at 50 pages, the Miranda thread is over 20, and we are at.....5.  :crying:  It makes me sad to see Liara get so little appreciation.

Quality over quantity. Liara brings out the best in her fans.

Sweet jeebus, the Tali thread got 80 pages in 18 hours. I like Tali, I hope she'll have a role in ME3, but...wow.

So what if the other threads are longer. A majority on this forums seems to agree with all that dumbing down in this game too. Doesn't make it any better (no offense to anyone here who likes the new gameplay, of course). Could it not be that many who disagree have simply moved on? And let's face it, pretty much everything about the terrible job BioWare did with the ME 1 LIs has been said.

Does she show some personality if she's a LI in ME1? (Not trolling, just curious)

She was really boring to me when I played it.

Shes as good, if not better than any of the ME2 squadmates. I mean Bioware really pulled a cheap one with the romances in ME2, and how most wouldnt even bother talking to Shepard unless you romanced them.

Really pisses me off when people have the nerve to say they are better, when simply using that fact alone proves they clearly arent.

The only thing you get is a kiss when you first meet. After that, the dialogue remains the same regardless. It's beyond fail. They could have done so much more.

I'm 99.9% sure she is a squaddie.

This, but I think it henges on her possible DLC inclusion. Whatever the case, I prefer her to get a more strong presence in ME3 rather than DLC if I had to choose.

What is you all's preference on that matter.

If you had to choose:

1) A very strong ME3 presence

2) Very strong DLC presence

3) or small content in both

I personally think we're gonna get one of these three as it relates to Liara content.

Not a very hard choose to make for most I think... 1) A very strong ME3 presence. But I would not mind aome DLC as well ^_^

Might BioWare be setting her up to become a villain?

She is the only sure survivor out of all characters you recruit in both games, she is the only person whose personality really changed and there is a certain irony in Shepard rescuing the innocent daughter of his nemesis' advisor, only to (incidently) lead her down the path of darkness.

I very nearly cheated on Liara, figuring hey, first playthrough's a throwaway anyways. Some of you may know the old song, "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with." In the long run I didn't, and was rewarded with what I thought was a very poignant moment alone in my quarters with my picture of Liara before the final assault. I thought that was quality at least, even if the encounter with her on Illium was rather lacking.

On that note though, she does imply that she's not sure if she's being watched, and a well developed paranoia is hard to overcome (especially if they really are watching you). I chalked up her reticence to those factors, rather than to think BioWare 'dropped the ball' with her, and that's what I'll keep telling myself until her triumphant return in DLC and/or ME3. :D

and also as probably all of you noticed: tasks she gives your Shepard are in main mission sections not in secondary ones, so defeating/not defeating the Observer[Nyxeris i can tell as spoilers allowed] outcome will probably matter too...

Quality > Quantity. People claim the ME 2 romances are longer, but I'd debate even that. Yet even if the ME 1 romances were shorter, they were done and integrated much better. I think that's much more important than counting the amount of sentences spoken by the characters.

PS: My female Shepard can't even talk with Jacob, as the developers saw fit to force that flirting voice and stance upon her even if she has NO interest in him. Another typical example of a lack of oversight, or simply bad story telling and breaking immersion with forced and unrealistic behaviour, just like the inability for Shepard to talk to Liara about the relationship. So she'll never get to know Jacob's story. Good thing the companions always trust you enough to let you do their dirty work anyway.  <_<
