i dont know, i´m not a big fan of Liara what makes her so special. this no hate but i just never liked her but she did one good thing saving my corpse but other than that.
i guess i just dont like easy women (looking at Jack, miranda,Kelly).
Some of you need to admit she throws herself into your arms immediatly, first because of your visions and then because she is interested in "you" which i didnt bought. But still she is a thousand times better character then those i mentioned above *looking towards the sky awaiting hate bombs* please try constructive criticism if you reply.

Hrmmm.. don't expect much love when you come into a Liara support thread and start hating on her. Just saying.
Did you really come in here to whack a hornets nest?

OK, so on a more positive note, Liara was not "easy", it was love at first sight with Shepard. After all, she had no feelings for anyone else and was quite happy to spend her time with long dead peoples, ruins and nature. She loves Shepard deeply, so deeply that she can't even get past Shepards death and does something about it. How can you really say that she is "easy'?Image IPB

I have tried on numerous occasions to play a maleShep, and after 2 line of Meer VA, it never fails that I give up and load up one of my normal femSheps. Meer VA (at least in the ME series) is so monotone, emotionless and boring. Hale does a really great job, especially with tender moments, and I really love a lot of the renegade interupt lines! There's a lot of heart in her VA for sure. And putting Jennifer Hale and Ali Hillis together in a love scene was sheer bliss!

I dont get why people dislike Meer's VA so much. I found femsheps voice to be kinda manly...:?

Meer as a VA was usually ok in ME1, and he got a ton better in ME2. However, he just has a lot of "cringe-worthy" lines. Regardless, I almost always play as a MaleShep.

In the first game yes, I'd have to agree that Male Shepard was rather monotonic in almost all of his lines. But I thought he really stepped up his game in Mass 2. In fact, there are several times when I much prefer Meer's delivery over Hale's.

He did a great job during Tali's loyalty mission, especially the speech.

Well, for the most part the blame does not fall on Meer for the cringe-worthiness of the lines. For instance take the "You still cared for him, even if he betrayed you" line. That's just a bad line that not even Hale could salvage.

Some of his romance lines with Miranda and Tali are both frighteningly weird.

And in my defense; Shepard's expression looked a heck of a lot better in the pencil stage. *facepalm*

Thanks for posting, Indigo, and sorry for chasing you away the other day:(  This is a beautiful pic.  The first with Liara and ManShep now that I think of it . . .
Anyway, Liara!

And yes, there does seem to be a distinct lack of Male Shepard artwork. But that's what I'm here for! I'm no Metal-Dragon-Kiryu, but hey, who is? Except for the man himself of course...

I was just referring to ME1. I thought Meer really delivered in ME2. I hope he keeps it up for ME3.

It really comes down to personal choices and opinions. I love Hale's VA, and think Meer failed miserably (mostly because I can't get past his ME1 offering I suppose). If you feel Meer did well, then I am happy that you are happy with that! Image IPB

YES! That he did! He's nose to nose with Hale in that scene!

And on the subject of speech delivery; I actually liked Meer's "Make me proud, make yourselves proud" speech better than Hale. Or at the very least, that particular line.

This too, some of the lines they get aren't the best. If Hale got better lines, then that's better writing. Still though, Meer did a great job in ME2. I didn't feel like much of anything was out of place.

Oh yeah, I agree. I think he did a good job in ME2 except for those few lines that werent his fault, as they were just strange and awkward.

Yeah, he did do better than Hale on that speech. He seemed a bit more "involved" with what was going on during the suicide mission, so most of his lines were as good, if not better than Hale's. Personal opinion, of course.

And, to be fair, while Hale does an awesome job again in ME2, some of her delivery is awful. Oh, and Meer does a much better job in ME2.

My first attempt of a Liara fanart (have no idea where it disappeared to) originally had ManShep.

lol, strange and awkward are any of the interaction beyond basic between femShep and Jacob. It just creeps me out how everything femShep says is like a cougar on the prowl!

I feel sorry for Jacob. He's a very generic character and then they botch his romance scene.

From what I can tell; Jacob's is less of a 'romance' a more of a... hmm, what's the word? Ah yes; seduction.

Indigo, that artwork is brilliant! Fantastic job sir! I love Liara's facial expression, and like others have said you really convey the sense of love and trust for each other, but unease too. Liara because she's worried what Shepard will think of her for everything she's done, and Shepard because he's unsure where they stand in the relationship after two whole years. If only they would open up to each other and let them know how they feel!!

Very emotionally resonant piece, something that seems to be common with Liara fanart. I love it!!

When I eventually do a femshep playthrough I want to see for my self just how bad talking with Jacob is.
