Oh wow, thats an even better illustration. Maybe the lighting affected her pupils too.

Pupils dilate based on how much light is being shined into them. The less light that's coming in, the bigger the pupils get. It makes sense for her pupils to be different sizes based on different environments.

Which would like I said mean that the office light is affecting them.

I think it may have been a conscious design choice to make her appear less physically attractive, as they did with the other ME1 LIs. Studies have shown that humans find larger pupils to be more attractive, it's why alot of people like the dim light of a candle-lit dinner. That's why they've made Liara's pupils smaller.

Likewise, look at how horribly they've aged Kaidan past his 35 years in ME2. Seriously, compare how he looks in ME1 to ME2, it's like 10 years have passed.

The lighting in Liara's office affects Liara's eye color as well. The baby blues are still there!

Doesn't explain why they've made Liara's pupils so much smaller.

Uhhh...maybe she was high on the uppers she's probably taking to keep herself awake in order to work into the late night hours.

Pupils do change their size in relation to the surrounding lighting, as well as other influences. Human ones, anyway. Though I doubt they'd implement something as "unimportant" as that in video games.

Why are they doing this to our LI's?:crying:

Did they do anything like that to Ashley too?

I wonder what the ME universe's equivalent of Redbull is.

They're doing this so the ME2 LI's seem more attractive. They stated a while back they were curious to see how many people would cheat. I think if they're doing it for those reasons, it's totally overdone.

Yeah I heard about that whole cheat thing, its stupid that they are going by the paramour achievment though, because I got it without cheating on Liara.<_<

Is that the only way they said they were obtaining the data? In that case their results will be lacking horribly. Some people wouldn't cheat normally but will if an achievement is involved. Hell, some would get the achievement and then reload their save.

I don't think that's the case, I think that data is being uploaded on individual playthrough files as to whether the player cheated or not. It's not being done via achievement data.

In any case, I'm fine though. I have no Paramour achievement, as it's Liara and only Liara for me. ^_^

Yeah that makes sense. If you go to the options menu in ME2, there's an option to submit data to BioWare automatically. I bet they're using save files.

Yeah, they mentioned that they will be looking for those that have the achievement. Hopefully they have other ways to tell.

Well they mentioned something about the acievement. I hope they dont go by that, I got it just because I wanted all ME2 achievements, and I wanted to see what the other LI's were like. I never cheated on my Liara though.:innocent:

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if Liara actually gets forced into our group in the same way Miranda and Jacob are.

Even if there are people who don't want her to be around, due to her change of personality, I bet she'll get forced on us.

Who's with me on this ?

Nobody in this thread. We all want her in back in ME3 as a squadmate.

I would think that's the way they know because it would be really stupid to go by the Paramour achievement, but then again they haven't really shown any proof of any higher brain functions as of late.

I really don't think they're going to go with the whole "recruitment and loyalty" approach in ME3 again. It'll be like ME1, in that you're given your squad and you just work with them like that. The only squadmate you can actively avoid recruiting in ME1 is Garrus, and you have to go out of your way to do so.

So yeah, I don't think Liara will be optional at all in ME3, and neither will Ash or Kaidan. Especially if they will have important story roles, as I believe.

Nothing wrong about wanting to have her as a squadmate. I just wanted to ask what you think of the possible chance of having her forced into the group, wanted or not. :)

Possible chance of having her forced into the group? I'm down, I'd love it if she was an automatic addition to the team.

Yeah, I think you may have misread what Cyvian said justin. He wasn't saying that he didn't want Liara in the squad at all, just as to whether she'll be a mandatory squadmate in ME3, like Jacob and Miranda in ME2, and Ashley, Kaidan, Tali and Liara in ME1.

I known how we can get Lili out of that freaky office...

We need go back to Therum, dig in another excavation and find similar to first one Prothean device, then go back to Illium, activate device and trap her again in that bubble ^^.

Then "drag" that bubble back on Normandy, fly away from Illum and then deactivate her.... leaving Lili no other choice as stay on board.

I known... i am crazy... but I WANT HER BACK!... is that really too much to ask?

You can really not recruit Garrus in ME1?

ME 2 forced so much that I didn't like, I certainly would not complain if ME 3 forced my favourite character on everyone else for a change.

I think the possibility is high for her to be in the team even if you don't want her to be, she seems to have that kind of role in the sorry. I don't mind but it's to bad for those that don't like here. But that kind of characters are in almost every game, not much you can do about it. Just don't use her if you don't like her.
