I dont mean to be a downer but idk how much hope we can put into any kind of satisfying DLC coming out, it would seem something important to story such as resolving liara's predicament with the sb wouldnt be optional content released, especially if they end up putting a price tag on it.

You have the choice there. You either be a supportive friend or lover to Liara, and help put her at ease somewhat, or you just act a selfish mercenary who only thinks for themselves.

Of course, I also wanted the "Comfort your lover, tell her she's not hated, and pull her into a warm embrace" option!

If I can pull it off, I'll let you know!

You have the game for pc too?

No I don't, but you'd be surprised what you can find on the internet. I was hoping I could run across it. It's possible.

To answer your other question, I myself didn't have a save without a Liara romance, but I was reading another thread where multiple people had confirmed she doesn't have the dialogue. it's one of those things where if you're flagged for romance or not, the dialogue appears. In case of that line with Liara, it requires the Liara romance flag.

I kind of agree with you.  It's difficult to throw out something that will extend the ME2 story to the point where it greatly effects ME3 because some people just won't bother to get it, even if it is free.

If anything would be nearer to ME3 to boost interest in it (not that there isn't already) Unless they can somehow hook the ending of ME2 into it, after all the game is about saving the universe as we know it.

I know that as soon as I finished ME2 I rushed to Liara to see if anything had changed....Image IPB They have to blend it so either end (Liara's office visit or ME2 end) isn't altered

Maybe not in terms of furthering the mission itself, but in terms of personal interaction with Liara, and rekindling and having the big romance reconciliation, and finally being able to comfort her and have her open her heart, there's a very very big possibility that will be the case.

I just wish we had something to tell Liara instead of Shepards  face...

Maybe a comment on the relationship, or Shep saying that he/she loves Liara.

Oh I see. Well I have a ME1 file that has no romance, which I am playing now in ME2, so I will see for myself soon enough.

If we do get some DLC that includes a deeper interaction with Liara as a LI, it seems more likely it would be part of some romance pack type thing ive seen mentioned a few times around the forums. If it was something just for liara BW would probably have a huge riot on their hands from all the other LI fanbases. Something like this would go a long way to improve the romance subplot as a whole and as long as they dont royally screw up on any of the different characters, it would be a nice addition without necessarily impacted the main storyline in a way that would make it implausible as addon type content.

If they bother with a romance pack, they're going to have to do all the LI's, otherwise a riot will start. Especially from the ME1 hardcore fanbase, leaving out the already super troublesome relationships is already bad enough.

If they do make this "romance pack" it would probably be after the ME2 expansion that was mentioned.

I originally bought ME2 for my xbox even though i have a gaming quality PC because i played ME1 on my xbox. Then in the middle of playing it my xbox red ringed me after 5 years of having it so i got it for the PC instead and definitely havent regretted it. Good save files from ME1 are pretty easy to get and the gibbed save editor program allows you to fine tune them just they way you want them to be for your "good" files you plan on importing to ME3

I wish I was in the same boat. I own a laptop. It's got a nice solid state hard drive and a decent graphics card, but it won't hold up when ME3 releases I bet.

Anybody know how well ME1 and 2 would run on a laptop with a GeForce 8600GT graphics card and 4GB of ram? I might get it for PC if it will run well.

Yeah my 360 recently failed on me too. I know my pc can run ME2, its just the graphics card I worry about.

I have the same thing, ME1 runs great. ME2 is what I worry about so I am still deciding on whether or not to get it.

For a laptop, mine is quite powerful, well it was 2 years ago when I bought it. I don't know if my card holds up to what's on the market these days, but then again ME2 runs on a 360 and my laptop can outperform one. It ran wow at a solid 30fps in dalaran without lag. I've just been worried that the ME2 for PC requires more juice. I notice how much better the screens look from a PC over the 360 and that makes me wonder how much more powerful the graphics are.
