I think it would be pretty cool to see the apartment Shepard won from Ahern in the Pinnacle Station DLC from ME1 make a return in ME3 as some sort of romantic setting for them to catch up and talk about the last 2 years. That would be nice...however unlikely it is haha.

Ummmmm, I just downloaded this. i have yet to play it. it seemed kinda shrimpy. But, alas, I folded and purchased.

Yeah it's nothing spectacular, but its worth a play. Couple hours or so of stuff to do and its somewhat challenging.

Why couldn't that have happened?
The captain's quarters alone is larger than her office on Illium (she would be safe from evil secretarys if she was by Shepard's side).
Oh Liara, come back to Shepard.

Yeah,  I don't buy the reason she can't work on the Normandy.    It's peaceful (minus the occasional squad mate fights) but the Normandy's huge so Liara wouldn't even hear Miranda and Jack going at each other's throats.  The fourth deck is quite (except for the 'Afterlife' music that my Shepard blares, but that can be turned off for Liara).

Plus, she'd have access to all of Cerberus' intel (b/c I'd give it to her).

Definitely, I would think Liara would be interested in having access to some of the most advanced technology in the galaxy.
Apparently Shepard forgot to mention that to her.
There is really no reason she couldn't have come along, she probably could have repelled the collector boarding party all by herself.

Not very relaxing though, particularly with those VR enemies shooting at you!

Come to think of it, the ability to go on a tropical holiday with Liara should be a possibility in ME3.

That's just Shep's idea of foreplay. ^_^

Have any of you guys wrote anything about Liara at all on the internet, eg expanded Liara's entries on Wikipedia or the Mass Effect Wiki?

On tvtropes.com, I added and wrote the paragraph for Liara in the page for video game examples of woobies a few weeks ago. Take a look:

http://tvtropes.org/...obie/VideoGames

The Mass Effect entries are near the bottom of the page. If you still can't find it, just use the search function in your browser to find Liara. The page is massive, I know!

Scrolled up and saw all the BG2 characters. Apparently BW is going to turn Liara into a vampire. If they have any intention of turning her into one of those Ardat-Yakshi I swear to god I am driving to Canada and getting revenge.

/sigh

I'd really like to think they are going to take all this some place satisfactory but my faith in BW is at such an all time low I just can't get up enough optimism to fool myself that much.

Bethesda created an entirely new ending to Fallout 3 via DLC, so I can't see BioWare not properly fixing the Liara scene.
It should pretty much be the same thing (except Liara is infinitely more important in my opinion), the devs did something that pissed the fans off and they fixed it. In BioWare's case, they should be able to smoothly implement the DLC and make it feel as if it was always in the game.
I hope that BioWare has been planning something from the beginning that we do not know about that would completely rectify everything they have done with Liara in ME2.

Considering Liara's importance in the whole Mass Effect universe, there just has to be something to bridge the gap. I guess it would be in DLC form, waiting until Mass Effect 3 for that bridge will be a mistake imo. I do have a very positive outlook towards it all, but that is prob because I didn't actually know anything about the Mass Effect franchise until Mass Effect 2 came out. So I didn't have the experience of looking forward to the second game and Liara's role in it, to only be crushed by her current part in the game.

Although, the fact that Liara saved Shepard's body alone gives me high hopes for her being an integral part to the storyline in the future. At least Liara seems to have higher hopes to being a squad member then Kaidan or Ashley, but maybe all three (or the two that are still alive) will be possible squad members, who knows.

BdtS was short, but virtually on par with the rest of ME 1, and well polished. But this was also the first DLC for BioWare "next-gen" games. Everything since has been quite underwhelming in my opinion. BioWare/EA have been following the typical DLC idea: Minimize effort, maximize profits. Especially successful with consoles, where players wanting new stuff have no choice but to pay up. And as long as they do, two quick-and-simple DLCs will probably make more money than a single better one.

So if there's any Liara DLC to be had, I'm pretty sure it will be mostly another round of shooting stuff. IF they manage to fit in two or three additional lines for players who pursued a romance with her, I'd be content already. Right now, I wouldn't even hold my breath for that.

Still, the Fallout 3 DLCs were quite good. I'd still have preferred a real expansion or two, but the developers visibly spend a good amount of effort. As far as I know, they didn't lose money over it. Shows that another DLC model IS possible.

Anyway. I would even pay 20 bucks for a big patch that makes ME 2 the game it should've been from the beginning.

hmm I dunno I thought the DLC for DA:O was very good lore wise, like both Warden's Keep and RTO helped give background to the events that occurred in Origins, combat wise yea it's nothing amazing

I like to think Bioware has a plan and that the current portrayal of Liara is according to their plan, sure we won't know until ME3 but they did say ME was a trilogy from the get go so it's not like they suddenly went "hey we're making Mass Effect a 3 game series"

I think a lot of it will depend on if they move from the generic fluff DLC to actually adding in content geared towards post-suicide mission/the story of Mass Effect. If you talk to Liara and/or Anderson after coming back through the Omega-4 relay it is painfully obvious that there wasn't any story consideration put in for that.

I'd defintely rather see the story moving forward or at least filling out rather than, in my opinion, pointless fluff like yet another squadmember, a shooting mini-game with the hovertank, or more annoying armor without removable helmets I never wear.

I was unsatisfied with what was missing from ME2, so DLC that just builds up around the holes rather than filling them in doesn't really do a whole lot for me.

Well. I've finally figured it out. The SB actually has captured Liara to use against Shephard as leverage. The SB has replaced Liara with a mind scrubbed, emotionless clone with only base memories. In ME3 Shephard will have to dress up like a bounty hunter and free Liara from her carbonite prison only to be captured by the SB herself and made to wear a skimpy bikini outfit. Thanks to a risky plan concocted by Garrus, tali and Wrex Shep is able to break free and strangle the SB with assassin moves learned from Thane.

You forgot the Threser Maw fight in the SB's pit.

Here is the prologue if you will of a story I may continue once the comics are done and it does not take away from my current series of books. Let me know what you think.

This is really good.  I'm not much of a romantic but I enjoyed reading it.  Kudos.
If I had some time, I would like to illustrate it...maybe a little sequential art styling would work well with this.  If only I knew a comic colorist.

That would be very cool!Posted Image

Doing quick fan pieces is one thing, doing pages of comic art is another, takes more time if you know what I mean.  My schedule is pretty full right now (we have a patch due out soon), but if I do get some extra time, I would love to try it..at least a couple of pages and I will throw it your way, see what you think.  Can't promise anything but it would make a really good fan-comic.
Is that cool?

Works for me!

Anway, can someone explain to a dummy like me how to put the "I couldn't let you go" sig in my signature.  I have seen them around with the pic of her eyes closed and I would like one.  Thanks :kissing:
