I don't recommend anyone going through the Illium meetings with Liara on a frame to frame bases....no wonder I've been putting this off....*sigh*

What's up, Unata? Don't you like Liara's appearance during the Illium reunion?

I got this sudden vision of Shepard busting into Liara's office with curtains and new light bulbs

Wish we could alter the lighting, she doesn't look well at all on Illium Image IPB

For some reason I feel compelled to say something, so here it goes.

I couldn't find a better group to hang out with on these forums, than you folks here. The Liara fans here are so full of care, compassion, love, hope, creativity and inteligence. It feels like you all have accepted me into the fold and it gives me a warm snuggly feeling. Thank you!Image IPB

Welcome aboard, Sunnie! It's great to have another dedicated and devoted Liara fan here! We're all pretty much head over heels in love with our favourite little blue asari, so you'll fit right in here. We're absolutely obsessed with Liara, and she really couldn't ask for a better fanbase. She deserves it too.

With the way Liara has been written, and her emotions, guilt and love for Shep, how unnatural and forced will it be if there isn't deep, emotiona content with her?

I totally agree with you here, I just don't want to put my hopes up on seeing it in a DLC. If I have to wait until ME3, I don't mind doing that. It's still a possibility however, because of how well the Kasumi DLC was done. There was plenty in there to make me think that BioWare can do a good job with DLC. If that wasn't well done I'd have 0 optimism for having anything substantial in any DLC before ME3 released.

The sad part of this, I feel, is that we are most likely going to be forced to a 3 year (about) wait for the Liara interaction we so desperately want and need. I do hope they put out some DLC that gives us the chance to say the things we wanted, but I just don't see that happening until ME3. As Indigo has mentioned, they planned on some type of reward for staying true to your LI from ME1, that would sort of get really broken if they let us resolve our hearts desires i a ME2 DLC. I hate this as much as anyone else here who are as madly in love with Liara as I am, and as painfull as it is to think about, reality's fridgid slap is always looming before our faces.

I heard somewhere that they plan to have it out in about 1.5 - 2 years. They already have a lot of reusable stuff in the areas of programming and the game's engine. They mainly have to work out the story and do all the graphical stuff, so it won't take quite so long this time around.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if they reused this same engine, as long as they put more RPG back into it I'll be happy.

Great picture:O... looks like vision of Thesia or another Asari Core world whit Lili:wub: on the first plan^_^.

I see one major problem whit Virmire survivor DLC.
Biggest hindrance which must be overwriten in Ash/Kaidan case is that Cerberus is declared by Council and Alliance as Enemy of the State organization so i don't  see any ways to resolve that obvious conflict of interests and loyalty without completely rewriting entire Cerberus history or Ash/Kaidan affiliations whit the Alliance.
Shepard was plainly forced to work whit TiM but Ash/Kaidan have still own will and i really don't known how Bioware can logically explain thier possible joining Shepard's team before Collector Base mission without another serious attempt of bleaching Cerberus.

In Lili's case is much easier to create logical scenario for DLC since she don't have any affiliations whit Alliance or the Council so there is no conflict of interest and now after RED.4 Shep and Lili have common goal... stopping the Reapers.:police:
Sheeeesh... i really wish that Bioware will give us at least slight signal if this DLC will see light of the day at all instead keeping us in dark alley...:(

Maybe a substantial rekindling was wrong phrasing on my part. What I'm thinking of is Liara coming up to Shep's cabin on the Normandy on the way back from Liara's DLC mission, and Liara basically opening her heart about everything that's happened, her suffering, her pain, her guilt, everything she's done due to her love for Shep. We'll finally have the ability to comfort and console her, to tell her she's loved, and vow to never leave her alone again. Cue Shep and Liara finally embracing each other warmly, with a single tear trickiling down Liara's cheek.

That way, it's not sunshine and happiness again anymore, the relationship is still somewhat troubled as they've spent two years apart from each other, but it's at least something to show how much love is still there for each other, and finally gives us the ability to comfort Liara.

With the way Liara has been written, and her emotions, guilt and love for Shep, how unnatural and forced will it be if there isn't deep, emotiona content with her?

I hope you are right.  I believe the DLC will have to walk a similar tightrope as the comic, though it will have a lot more leeway.  It will have to give Liara fans what they want w/out telling everyone else anything new.  Not an easy task.  After seeing the reactions here after the 4th comic came out, my advice on any Shadow Broker DLC will be to expect the worst, hope for the best and wait patiently for ME3.

Ah, beautiful pic. Liara looks absolutely gorgeous here.

You're right in saying about how sad it is that Liara looks so sad, lonely, stressed out and tired in ME2. I just want to hug her, dammit!

The whole problem with a Liara or romance DLC is since ME2 is out and done, no matter what they put in, it can't affect or alter the 1, Meeting in Liara's office or 2, End game ramifications.

One point tho, would add to the smile Shepard has at the end of ME2 heh.

I would rather wait three years and get quality game that made in haste game client whit perspective of countless DLCs necessary to fill every plot black holes... but gaming business is full of sharks and rEApers waiting to sacrifice quality for quantity and that's made me little worry...

We can be sure they wont alter the initial meeting on Illium in any way,I also assume a DLC will always take place before the Collector base no matter if you finished the mission or not kind of like in DA where everyone treats the Archdemon as still being alive despite you having finished the final battle.
Come to think of it I kind of would prefer no Liara DLC,but the whole SB storyline being resolved in an expansion pack that sets the stage for ME3,that would also provide a filler and might also stop Bioware from blowing up the Normandy and killing Shepard again to bridge the time gap:whistle:
Since as of now its uncertain how long the reapers will take to arrive, maybe years or months or just days, although I doubt the last one

I think some of you guys may be putting too much stock on a supposed necessity of Liara's DLC having to keep everything exactly the same, leading into ME3.

If a romance reconciliation and deep romantic content is featured in Liara's DLC, then why couldn't they assume there was a specific outcome in ME3 if you did not download or play Liara's DLC? Look at BDtS, if you didn't download and play that in ME1, then it assumes in ME2 that the colonists die.

If you were to apply that to romantic content with Liara in her DLC, then we'd obviously all choose to comfort, console and reassure Liara, and rekindle the romance to our best ability. A ME3 import that features a Shepard that was faithful to Liara, whilst still being rewarded for staying faithful to her across the trilogy, would assume a specific outcome of the romance reconciliation, or just assume that it happened regardless.

I really do believe that Liara's DLC will be deep, emotional and very intimate, with extra dialogue and a scene if she's your LI. It shouldn't be a stumbling block that it is only contained in DLC.

Whats happening in Liara's office is that there are too many different colored light sources that have overpowering intensities. They made her monitor on her desk emite a very bright amber/orange light, and the lighting from outside the office is a very white light.

Image IPB
You can see the monitor on her desk, and the color it makes her chin. But then look at the right side of her face and see the light from that direction is very titanium white.  Anotehr thing I have noticed is there's something  wierd with the pixel shaders in this scene and the way it deals with shadowing.

Right, but looking at her expression, the saddness in her eyes and sweep of her eyebrows, she is not a happy camper, heck some of the frames I have, she looks down right insane....but we know that isn't the case....right?
