Whats happening in Liara's office is that there are too many different colored light sources that have overpowering intensities. They made her monitor on her desk emite a very bright amber/orange light, and the lighting from outside the office is a very white light.

Image IPB
You can see the monitor on her desk, and the color it makes her chin. But then look at the right side of her face and see the light from that direction is very titanium white.  Anotehr thing I have noticed is there's something  wierd with the pixel shaders in this scene and the way it deals with shadowing.

Right, but looking at her expression, the saddness in her eyes and sweep of her eyebrows, she is not a happy camper, heck some of the frames I have, she looks down right insane....but we know that isn't the case....right?

Well, looking beyond the odd coloring, you are right. There are some really troubling facial expressions that Liara has in this series of scenes. Makes me so angry that I can't comfort her "in any way" Image IPB

Would somebody please kill that bitttch in the back.....

No problem, Liara does it so fast you can run up from the terminal down the steps from her door, after telling her something is wrong and voila! the Nyx is nulled Image IPB

Really, it makes you want to hop in your little hot rod and go smack a few writers upside the head a few thousand times.

Yeah, I absolutely hate it how you can't comfort Liara in any way during the reunion. She's clearly suffering so much, and is so sad and emotionally tormented. You just want to take the poor girls in your arms, and tell her everything is going to be alright. Poor Liara.

I think some of you guys may be putting too much stock on a supposed necessity of Liara's DLC having to keep everything exactly the same, leading into ME3.

If a romance reconciliation and deep romantic content is featured in Liara's DLC, then why couldn't they assume there was a specific outcome in ME3 if you did not download or play Liara's DLC? Look at BDtS, if you didn't download and play that in ME1, then it assumes in ME2 that the colonists die.

If you were to apply that to romantic content with Liara in her DLC, then we'd obviously all choose to comfort, console and reassure Liara, and rekindle the romance to our best ability. A ME3 import that features a Shepard that was faithful to Liara, whilst still being rewarded for staying faithful to her across the trilogy, would assume a specific outcome of the romance reconciliation, or just assume that it happened regardless.

I really do believe that Liara's DLC will be deep, emotional and very intimate, with extra dialogue and a scene if she's your LI. It shouldn't be a stumbling block that it is only contained in DLC.

Well I doubt there will be much romance content in a potential DLC,even a scene might be too much to ask, bear in mind Bioware doesnt waste ressources to include things not many players might see,in case of Liara scene this might also apply, since noone aside from those who romaced her would see it.
Also I dont know if going to a base and gunning everything down that moves would really do the Shadow Broker justice, though I really want to ask him some things, like why he kept Liara alive, after messing with him big time, while Fists betrayal warranted hiring Wrex, who is basicly the Krogan version of Zaed in term of experience,so I doubt hiring him was cheap

Well...maybe it's not yet time for drugs...maybe it's time for dr. Chakwas to convert her medical facility into a psychological clinic or something like that....

I actually had this very same debate with J over PM a few days ago. Suffice it to say, I'm too lazy to type out my thoughts again so I'll just copy and paste. :P

Yeah, but most of the ME experience is content that is mutually
exclusive, and requires multiple playthroughs in order to see
everything. On the logic that you've shown there, why would they show
multiple endings to Kasumi's DLC? Not everyone is going to see them,
after all. Take it to it's logical extreme, and why would they even
create choices and diverging dialogue paths in the Mass Effect series
at all? Not everyone is going to see them. They'd just create one
single, uniform experience because hey, everyone is going to see that.

They'll put romance content in Liara's DLC because 1. It's a choice
and effect that should be depicted and 2. I believe there's a reason
exclusive romantic content was all but absent from ME2. It's being
saved so it can be tackled in Liara's DLC. They need to maintain the
status quo.

Like I said, the decision to romance Liara is a choice that has been made, and a pretty massive choice. They need to show it's effects. Liara's a main character, they can't realistically do this half-arsed.

No kidding. I was actually, genuinely nervous and excited when I first landed on Illium. I remembered that Liara was there, from what TIM said at the beginning of the game. When the concierge greets you as soon as you dock, and mentions Liara by name and that she is looking forward to meeting you, my excitement almost went through the roof. My mouth was dry, my stomach in knots. I was actually going to see Liara again! Time to catch up!

I'd heard bits and pieces about what happens in the Liara reunion from accidentally reading parts of spoilers on the net, as ME2 was released 3 days later here in the UK. Still didn't ease my initial disappointment and confusion, and evetual sadness when I realised just how much Liara was suffering, and the fact that the reason she's suffering is her love for Shepard. :crying:

I took this pic yesterday, and it just breaks my heart! (Why didn't they add an option to hug her, like with Tali?? Not cool)

I've argued for a long time that Liara needed a paragon hug interrupt. Tali needed one, but so did Liara.

Aww, it's so sad, I hate seeing Liara suffer so much. The pain is just etched out on her face. :crying:

Liara really does have the most expressive face of all ME characters. You see so many pictures of her with a wide variety of facial expressions, and all of them look fantastic, and really accentuate her beauty and her emotions. Just look at any picture of her smiling, and you can see how happy she is!

Well theres nothing that would prevent one or two extra lines, but I doubt the will make an ellaborate scene on the Normandy, personally I doubt we will see Liara ever entering the Normandy at all in ME2.
If they bother moving her out of the office at all I guess they will make up another way to get her to the SBs location,I guess the criminal organisation she running earns enough to warrant her personal ship.
Also I dont know if Bioware sees any romance as a massive choice being made and I might add in terms of the ME2 storyline Liara is no major character, she is basicly nearly insignificant for this game aside from pointing you to two of your squadmates she adds nothing, which is something that made me wonder since you can basicly ignore Aria and go right away to get Mordin or Garrus.
