About Ash/Kaidan? Yes, although I think it's the same regardless of if you romanced them or not. I'm not 100%, I haven't imported my Shep who romanced Ash yet.

All the ME1 LIs got the middle finger, just in different ways.

This is the one thing that makes me think there will be a really nice romance happening in ME3, they've already said there would be repercussions if you did mess up your me1 LI's

But that BW left a single line about Ash/Kaidan out is really odd.

That is odd, but the email at the very least lets you know they still care, with Liara though your left wondering some, granted you get the "cause I couldn't let you go" line but that was 2 years ago, your left with wondering still

Its the same option even if you didnt romance Ashley/Kaidan. You can say you like her or whatever.

I believe there is an extra dialog option for Shepard when speaking to Kelly if you romanced Ash/Kaidan in ME1.  My Liara romanced FemShep only had 2 responses about Ashley while I believe there are a few extra if you did romance Ash in ME1.

Exactly, the status of the relationship is still left up in the air, where as Ash/Kaidan send you an email if you were an LI, so the you know how they feel. You get "cause I couldn't let you go" no matter what you status with Liara is. Sigh.

I believe there was one extra tree, when I ran my Femshep/Ash thing (just to see if the game registered it) but Kelly says the same thing to any of them "I understand"

Yeah, Kelly says the same regardless, but Shep has the option to express her/his feelings about Ash/Kaidan to her (to Joker as well) while a Liara romanced Shepard never gets to do this with anyone, not even Liara

while I agree with that I do wonder about the line in there email they moved on makes me wonder if they are with other people now there was also the line I know kaidan says not sure if ash does about it took him a long time to get over you and his friends taking him out and loving someone again

I was thinking lastnight..

At the end of ME2 your handed a Data pad from Joker with image of a Reaper (I assume), and Shepard smiles, I wondered if this might not have been something Liara emailed over to Shepard from her investigations of SB, granted EDI may have scanned the information (what ever it is) from the Collector base (logical conclusion), but BW loves a twist, and it would be a good tie in for another DLC near ME3 release...
