Though it appeals to me from a pro-Liara standpoint, the legion/liara beginning is admittedly a bit immersion breaking.  You see Shepard die, and then suddenly you are Legion attempting to retrieve shepard's body and meeting up with Liara in the process, and then once that's done you wake up as Shepard in the Cerberus lab with Miranda and company.

Its convoluted and really not very good storytelling.  I completely understand why they removed it.  Unfortunately they don't seem to have done a good job repairing the story elements that depended upon that original beginning, and especially the Liara reunion scene.

To add to this, Liara removes Shep's armor in order to get her into some kind of transport and that is where Legion gets the N7 armor from. Originally he would have explained this, but instead they changed all this so you got a non-answer from him. This all comes from a forum post a supposed former BioWare employee made. It seems accurate but no one is sure its authentic. You can find it here.

Geezz, that would have been alot better intro then the one they have, who's the idiot at Biowaste that screwed all this up?



Liara still could be a "platonic relationship" with Shepard since they still show her acting the same either way on Illuim.

The reason they have all the early dialogs for Legion walking around Citadel, Omega and Illium makes more sense to me now.

This is correct, Legion does state clearly that he was hit on Eden Prime.

I always thought legion was an interesting character, and a bit disappointed you got him so late in the game, but i agree with Yeled in that playing as legion in the opening sequences would have been a bit jarring.

On another note, it is a shame that bioware tries to tailor more to the people new to the ME universe with the second game than those of us who are fans from the first, but the sad truth is at its core bioware needs to make money to stay afloat. With all the other game studios that are going under because of the ****ty economy, its no wonder even established companies like bioware are taking less risks.

Bioware is one of my favorite developers, so i like to think that maybe they were pushed into this by EA, but maybe thats just wishful thinking

I think we need to start a new campaign to get a construction set for ME, ME2, and ME3. If we had that we would be able to make all the Liara content our hearts desired! DA:O has one, cmon BioWare, chop chop!

I really wonder how big part of this game was really cut off and game itself was turned in wanabeRPG-shooter...



And guys... there is one person able to complete alter entire core story and that person is even in my siggy...

And small clarification Drew Karpyshyn aka lead ME 1 writer is still part of the Bioware but he is now lead writer for SW ToR MMO alongside whit many former ME 1 team.

It's really sad how one author deliberately destroyed work of the other just because "HE HAVE DIFFERENT VISION"...

Biowaste-Edmonton is really waste of time right now...

Agree, they will need some heavy me1 player loyalist repair work done OR allow easier modding  then we can just use our own imagination

No, I think you're right (despite the reference to Carth).  I went back and played ME1 and was taken aback by how much I like Kaiden now.

No, I think you're right (despite the reference to Carth).  I went back and played ME1 and was taken aback by how much I like Kaiden now.

I hated both of them.
I really hated Kaiden at the start of ME1 but I ended up saving him from the nuke anyway.
I liked Jacob in ME2 but his character didn't have much depth.
There just wasn't much to him, he had next to no story at all.

Kaidan isn't a bad guy, but the me2 guy is simply a idiot, plus the fact BW throws him at you *shudders*

If you look at the freckles and dark marks under her eyes, it kinda looks like shes crying in that pic .
She still looks pretty though , but now that I've noticed that the picture looks much sadder
