Saren also had his noble side probably at some point--as I got him to commit suicide rather than continue knowingly brainwashed. Saren was probably always a rengade that was racist against humans, but was he "evil" before he was brainwashed. the same goes for Benezia. Shep and Liara are showing traits....I don't mean all teh Paragon/renegade decisions they essentially go through. But they are skimming a similar path.

He blew up a factory with resulted in thousands of people losing their lives.  So yeah, I'd say he was evil.

I don't think I can look at Wrex the same way after seeing that picture.
When I see him, I now think, "you bastard, stay the f**k away from my Liara", lol.
Also, please try and avoid nuking Canada, I live there. ;)

I'll give you a 30 minutes warning, should give you enough time to escape the blast in a utility shuttle ;)

Thanks, it would give me some time to load up on some Tim Hortons and make my daring escape before the first explosion hits. :D

agree. let the "good" stay "good" and "bad" stay "bad" if Liara were made evil and unredeemable i don't think my Shep would survive this

"Liara is best, kindest, most heart-open,most gorgeous and compassionate Asari i've ever known..."-WREX

I think they're actually playing the opposite angle, where their feelings for eachother force them into decisions that are perhaps not morally correct, but they end up working out anyway.  Liara gives Shephard's body to Cerberus instead of destroying it, then Shephard does the renegade (BW's call, not mine) thing to save Liara from Nyxeris.  Making a couple of assumptions there, but it fits the stereotypical renegade/paragon cases.

Also does the Wrex quote actually happen in game somewhere?  I kinda wanna hear that.

Awww, you're making me all sad now for what might have been in ME2. :crying:

Still, be positive that the DLC will feature all of this with Liara, and more!

Not officially, but there many indicators.
There is also supposed to be DLC that ties in the redemption comic book with ME2, which could be the Liara expansion.

The factory Saren blew up had innocent families, women and children on its ground... and a puppy.

It hasn't been confirmed, but there's ample evidence.

First of all, people have looked through the folders on the PC version and found files with names like "Liara_dlc_leadin". Also, in an interview when Redemption was announced last year, they said that the comic would tie-in to DLC that would be produced for ME2. People have also found unused Liara dialogue that suggests originally Liara would join Shepard temporarily to take down the Shadow Broker, suggesting that BW always intended for Liara to have a greater role in ME2 than what is currently featured in-game. That, of course, is something that would be rectified in Liara DLC.

True. :(

But I put in my sig as a link anyway. In a vague enough statement that someone's bound to click on it. B)

Well, one thing is for sure: The facial animations are the best I've ever seen in any game. Did you notice they are even able to let characters shed tears? Too bad they didn't make better use of this great facial animations engine to tell a more emotionally engaging story throughout. They've done well with Tali's quest, but just there of course we can't see any faces. Probably no coincidence though, saves time. The Chakwas scene was good too, as were some others. But there are too few, and virtually none during the main story. Instead faceless enemies, and especially Shepard feels at times like a robot (due to artificially limited dialogue choices), much more so than in ME 1. But since every DLC armor so far forces a bucket over Shepard's head, it's almost as if the developers haven't noticed or don't care about the importance of this, or maybe they figure the new target audience just clicks through the dialogue anyway to get to the next action. But probably it's just time constraints again, the bane of ME 2 in my opinion.

Shepard looks like he (have only played male) is carved in stone for the most part, but there are some moments that are good. Talking about tears the only moment when it looked good was the Asari on Illum talking about her daughters. The woman in Samaras loyalty mission looked more like her eyes started bleeding to me. Well I always have helmet on my Shep but I still agree it's stupid you can't take it off on the DLC armor. My big problem with them is you cant customize them with new parts, I need extra ammo damn it!

But ther is good improvements from ME1, it's easier to see emotions in characters faces now.

Liara still has the most emotive face, IMO. The look of sorrow she has when she says "I barely escaped with my own life" is enough to cement that. You really get empathetic with her, and grow attached to her to. I love Liara.

That's very true and it was the same thing in ME1 as well in my opinion.
