Hmmm, I wonder, would Liara rather drink coffee or tea?? Most of my Sheps are definately coffee drinkers. Heavy on the booze too since Kasumi moved in.

Emphasis added by myself.  So she brought back Shepard for something, but not for being reconstructed entirely from scratch.  I see this as a worry that Cerberus will build something that just looks like Shepard but isn't him/her at all.  This, to me, turns the head-shake into an admittedly clumsy way of showing her concern -- she jumps up and kisses what looks like her love returned and backs away when her fear kicks in.

I think Liara brought Shepard back just to avoid having the body used by someone in either horrific experiments (i.e., the Collectors) or as a pawn in a galactic power game (i.e., the Shadow Broker).  

Liara feels Shepard's body should be treated with respect, even in death.    If you remember in the first issue, TIM tells Liara they want the body to put to rest, not to bring back to life.   Liara even asks TIM, I don't understand, if Shepard is dead, what would you want with a corpse?.  He just tells her she doesn't understand human traditions...her archeological mind probably assumes he's referring to a burial tradition. 

It seems like Liara only finds out Cerberus' true intentions with Shepard the moment she brings the body back.  I just wonder why she didn't put up more of a resistance?  I don't think she approves of it, as you've mentioned.

Tell me about it.  My poor femShep had four glasses of the pink stuff after coming back from Illium.

I think it would be awesome. I happen to like Kelly, but love Liara. Kelly is just a fun distraction. There was even a writer that said they left the whole Kelly fling ambiguous on purpose, so the player could make up what happened. I like to think my Shepard and Kelly cuddled and talked about Liara all night. I think Kelly might happen to be going from a crush to falling in love with Shepard though. I wonder what will happen in ME3 with her.

Probably coffee, since she said coffee cup instead of tea cup for the SB's remains.  I'm sure if she's pissed enough, she can fit him inside a tea cup as well.  Personally I love both coffee and tea, and where I live, we have a Starbucks in every block.  And tea is just amaaazing.  But I wonder what Liara would be like after ten cups of coffee...bug eyed, and talking like Mordin, except on Prothean stuff.

Spent a good bit of time today playing around with that wallpaper I made this morning. Now I can't decide which one I like the best.  What do you guys think?







Gah, I'll just make some changes in the morning, 'try and get the best balance of the features I like.

Oh, and if anyone wants a larger version of any of these, let me know.

That's not enough to pull her back to us though, so it would seem some connection to Feron is stronger. Maybe it is as simple as the writers just suck really bad.

Or maybe they suck at writing trilogies.  

In Liara's case, it looks like they had trouble figuring out what to do with her in the 2nd part (ME2), they give her lame dialogue (which may or may not be relative to the last of the trilogy and Reaper annihilation), make her as unattractive as possible without actually smacking her with an ugly stick and don't give your Shep (you) any options to advance this part of your story.  

And don't get me started on Feron.  Who gives a carp about this dude?  They shuffle all the ME1 LI's off the gameboard and add, what is it, eleven characters to the roster?   Seriously Bioware, we need even more major NPCs to care about you have to add another through a media not even game related?   So which ME fans are going to get their favorite kicked to the curb in ME3?

I'm in bjd's camp, this Liara character assassination must be fixed in DLC or ME3, and fixed in a major way, or ME2 is my last Bioware purchase for the forseeable future.

I like this one the best.  It seems more balanced with Liara further on the right-side. ...more symmetrical.

Damn, nice wallpapers!  Personally I like the first one the best, I think hacing that Reaper in the middle rather than Liara blocking it makes it cool.  I like all three, though!

I got it, only b/c I was hacking the game to test out same-sex romances using the save game editor.  I have yet to finish a game with a Shepard and do a new romance. I keep importing my main Liara romanced Shepard and playing as her.   I have trouble playing as another Shepard.

My random thought of the day. I wonder if we can get Liara or Ash/Kai for that matter, back and on the Normandy, and we flirted with Kelly, if we can have both. As in, we'd be able to call up Kelly while having Liara living in our cabin. Be fun to watch Kelly dancing for Shepard and Liara. Oh, I can see the outcry of the ME2 LI fans now. hehe

And don't forget to invite Leliana to that party!  Oh my I shouldn't be thinking of that! I'm going to get myself in all kinds of.... trouble
