Kaidan is technically a winner too because he surivived. Its just Liara survived a little bit better, thats all.

Let's not forget to show some love to the Kaidan fans. They were cool enough to call a truce, and I couldn't think of a better ending to the war than to have two ME1 love interests still standing.

Kaidan was a hero. His sacrifice on Virmire will not be forgotten. It must feel like Groundhog Day to him, but he never complains.
